Advantages and disadvantages of the vz. 58 when compared to the AK47?
Whats your opinion, /k/?
short-stroke vs long-stroke for starters.

Vz58s don't use ak mags

High end 1911s. High end AR15s that have close to zero rounds through them and never will have much more than that. Anything else that yuppie "gun owners" that don't like the complete idea of the Second Amendment like to shoot after starbucks and a lumberjack dicking.
Jeez man, I.O. Inc is really fast with their banning and blocking action, if they would only spend that time on making decent rifles instead of sitting on goddamn facebook all day. Took them about 4 minutes to block me.
oh right, I.O. INC hate thread.

I am looking for a nickel or stainless steel finish pistol with wood grips for concealed carry. Is a Walther still a viable solution?
What else should I look at? Must be a silver pistol w/ wood grips available and small enough for concealed carry - got any suggestions?
>>32569939
The SIG p238 hd is stainless and they have a stainless 232 which is similar to the walther I believe
>>32569980
like this? do they have wood gripz tho?
>>32569980
oooh the 232 looks nice. I'll look in to that one, thanks
I fucked up /k/. I was working on a feed problem in my gun (pic related) but I didn't have any snap caps so I was cycling live ammo my housemates (friend and his gf) were up and about my friend was watching and his gfwas on the phone in the other room, my friend likes bolt action shotguns and was asking questions about it,he asked about the safety,it's the old kind where you pull and twist a knob that's connected to the firing pin, I show him and it slips from my fingers and discharges, we're both stunned and his gf tells us to be quiet, we make sure everything is ok and check the damage minor damage to a chair and the carpet is a little torn up, everyone's ok but after learning what happened she's shaken up, he knows it's an accident and I hate myself and we all know why they stopped using those safeties.
So how about a thread about safety, accidents and how you made up to anyone effected by them.
>>32569899
>tells us to be quiet
Reasonable reaction to a gun shot in the house lol..
>>32569899
>his gf tells us to be quiet
how often do you shoot in the house lol
>>32569899
jesus, you couldn't have uses spent shells? dumped the shot and powder out so all that you had to off would be a primer? i know hindsight is 20/20 but that's pretty standard precaution.
Why don't you own two 50s?

>>32569848
So its like a 10mm .45m
>>32569848
Pretty cool to see Colt finally catching up with the market and at least making efforts to put out new stuff.
Still wondering why they haven't made 25lpi checkering a standard for most/all of their 1911s though that aren't GI style.
Why are slavs so great at making weapons?
The AK was pretty good for its time but they must have been eating paint chips since then cause now all they can do is slap picaninny rails on an old design and call it "revolutionary"
>>32569851
That's what's been happening with AR-15 and 18 derived designs, too.
Firearms are a mature technology until the 'next big thing' comes along.
>>32569836
Why do they all have purses
Does 922r actually fucking matter
I want to sbr my scorpion but I am not going to replace followers and shit
Of course not.
>>32569789
How would they know you didn't replace them? If your weapons are being taken from you and taken apart, you have bigger problems since 922r shit is just being tacked on as an additional charge.
As a pig, I made my Benelli M2 922r compliant in case Obama's justice department came down on me for shooting a protected species. Other than that nobody really gives a fuck. Just say you replaced the parts if you get caught for whatever reason.
>>32569789

Could I get a price check on the Marlin?
Some fudd said that a gold trigger changes the value but I don't know
Hello /k/
First off I only know little about guns because I dont have the privilege of living in the US.
I was wondering where the M9s of the Army go once they get a new Handgun - which they are currently looking for. Couldnt you snach a good M9 for a decent price because they are sold off cheap, or will they all get trashed?
You wouldn't want an issued M9 even if they end up available.
>>32569361
they get shoved in an armory and forgotten about. US Army still has 1911s and even Thompsons in inventory from ww2. They never get rid of anything.
>>32569361
They're all pretty much trashed. You could get one for the novelty or as a collectible maybe, if they end up on the private market.

>Replacing the front nose gear
>Redesigning the plane
>>32569259
To quote Dragon029 ;
>It's not failing, at light takeoff weights (eg, no weapons, <50% internal fuel), the jet's nose bounces up and down a lot as its being catapulted. The jet doesn't mind, but the majority of pilots are experiencing a 3/5 on a pain scale (some rated 2/5, some rated 4/5, one rated 5/5). That pain and the shaking also causes some disorientation. It's unlikely to effect normal operations, but who knows, maybe they'll need to launch a jet light on fuel for a quick response one day.
They've (for now) ruled out replacing the nose gear and are instead looking at 3 stages of fixes:
1. Short term (next couple of months), write new SOPs that tell pilots to look out for it and how to better brace themselves and lessen any pain.
2. Mid-term (ideally before SDD is finished), they want to make the HMDS have a new mode for launching, so when they catapult, the amount of information displayed is extra-minimal and just focuses on orientation, etc.
3. Long term (by some point in Block 4), they want to adjust the geometry / positioning / release-force of the hold-back bar, which connects to the nose gear and holds the jet from moving until the catapult's steam has enough pressure to yank the nose gear from the hold-back bar. Because the shaking is a matter of oscillation and resonance, changing the starting point of the oscillation can inhibit it.
