Would it be hard to shoot at something so tiny?

I'd think any high explosive round would be enough to squash the bee from overpressure.
The bee would dodge all bullets, then sting one person and die
Bee would fly past all defensives and sting Mattis, whos allergic to bees, thus rendering the military useless. Leaving it open for a Russian bee invasion

I was looking at a Glock 29SF for innawoods. I live in New England, so I don't expect a grizzly to pop out of nowhere, but black bear, lion and moose are pretty tough critters. Is 10MM overkill for my area?
>>32622966
No. 10mm is the best most perfect round ever. Think about it. You have a bunch of fat hardy yanks in your area that you will need to punch through their Carhart, leather vest, three flannel shirts, and wife beater before you even get to their hardened beer gut. You should not be carrying anything less.
>>32622966
>Is 10MM a Meme?
No, it's a handgun cartridge you underage fuck.
>>32622966
neh
How do you really believe they should look like / What they would be carrying (Weapons and Equipment)
>>32622846
How about no niggers
SQUAD!
RECON!
ASS! ASSS!
To determine what they would look like IRL, you'd have to look at the time period of the setting and what the unit's purpose was,
HECU had no real lore behind it. We don't know what they did in the HL Universe. We don't even know why a specialized Marine Corps division was even stationed near Black Mesa with battle ready status. It's implied that they had never previously dealt with the kinda shit they experienced after the Resonance Cascade.
So they probably never dealt with extremely toxic or radioactive situations, no mega structures or complexes, no massive structural collapses and certainly no aliens or massively hostile wildlife. They also probably never faced off with Black-Ops agents, desperate security guard trained insurgents or autistic theoretical physicists.
Yet somehow, they were apparently still the best guys the government had to clean up the situation.
To actually answer your question, OP. They would probably wear MOPP suits and lightweight vests in either OD green, U.S. Woodland or the Desert version. I don't think the urban/grey scale was standard issue for Marines.
They would also most certainly not be equipped with MP5's, instead just M4's and SAWs
>this will never be obsolete
prove me wrong. pro-tip: you can't.

the m2 has more utility
can be carried and operated by a 2 man team unlike the GAU it doesn't need batteries or a substantial amount of ammo

And who is the guy who has a night vision scope and runs through the jungle?
I already found out that the guy with the $40k German shepherd who went to play paintball in Japan is Chris Costa.
This pistol here is now what the mosin use to be.
Mosin use to be functional rifle that could be had for only $100. Was it the best rifle? Absolutely not. Was it functional and good for its obnoxiously low price? Yes.
Well these Ruger p89s can be had for $250 or so these days. Is it the best pistol that has ever existed? No. Is it great for its price range? Hell yeah. They are as reliable and durable as a pistol can get.
You can't get a new pistol for $250 that is as good as this thing is used.
What are some other good-value firearms like this?
Just got a p64, soon I'll get the p83
>>32622306
With some hogue grips and match grade 9mm, the p89 is stupid accurate for its price aswell. Inch groups at 50 yds ill take pics next time I do it.

Guns
>>32621813
Quite simple, actually! Count Michael to my south has been raiding me for some time, so I simply kidnapped around half of his peasantry and strapped them to my castle walls, such that nobody can fire upon my walls without killing them. You should have seen his face the last time he came to besiege me! Oh, it was glorious.
>>32621820
I have not heard of thses contraptions you call "guns".
Are they a form of ballistae?
Can we get another discussion about the Hudson H9 going now that photos and videos have been released? I'd like to hear your thoughts about the firearm. It looks nice but I'm not sure if I'm buying what Hudson is selling( amazingly low recoil, minimum wear/tear ).
I'd really like to hear the thoughts of /k/ now that this thing is truly in the public eye.
I want one
It looks pretty good, but I mostly want it because spacegun.
Also someone better make walnut grips for it.
Unfortunately it's $1100, so I probably won't own one for a while

Has any hand to hand combat happened in a war after ww2? Like bayonet charge or knife battle/fist fight something like that up close and personal?
what a stupid fucking question. if you payed attention in your history class instead of shitposting here you would know there was plenty in korea and nam
>>32621390
Tell me more
>>32621378
No, not at all. All combat after WW2, according to the Areyoufuckingretarded convention, has occured at a minimal distance of 100 metres.
I don't get why so many of you guys end up collecting guns instead of upgrading to thermals/nv, a rifle and a couple of pistols and there is no new additional capabilities for buying new guns
>>32621359
I like history, not operating.
>>32621359
>$120k NVG, helmet, camera, helmet mounts, eokek, suppressor, LLM

Why do people collect anything in general?
Guns don't need to be an entirely serious and utilitarian hobby, sometimes I want a piece of shit that is just fun to have and fun to shoot without any real life application.
