Why did us special forces choose glock over sig or hk?
>>32670862
>Cheap
>requires less training, they have enough shit to train on
>known for being esspecially reliable
>No need for the safety aspect added by double action pistols or safetys
>About as light as they come
And i dont even like glocks. Wait for the glock fags to show up. It was an intelligent choice on the sf communities part.
>>32670862
-compact
-incredibly reliable
-simple controls
Dudes were carrying 19s in the field long before JSOC approved them. JSOC/USSOCOM is how big military wishes it could operate. Pretty much happened like this:
-Here's your issued kit
>okay
-Guys carry G19s and G17s into the field
-Brass recognizes this eventually
>Hey why don't you guys carry your issued sidearm
>We like this better, works for us
>Okay
-Glocks get approved/added to official issue
>>32670895
I thought spec ops used 1911s cocked and locked, it would be more training going to glocks

Any nugget experts know what this RZ means? I know AZF is a Austrian rework stamp.
I think it's just the result of trying to use the flat "AZF" stamp on the round surface of the barrel. Look to the right and left of the "Z"; you can see the bottom of the "A" on one side and the top of the "F" on the other. I think the "R" is a separate stamp; I know it was used to mark Mosins inspected/refurbished at the Imperial arsenal in Budapest
I've never see a nugget that old.

If I got put in a room and was told I had to kill one of two individuals present and the choice was between a DEBIL DOG 0311 and the guy who managed my paycheck/bennies, I'd shoot the Marine in a heartbeat.
FFL-hopeful anon here. I told you guys I would update you. Ive been in Paris for a week now and I'm enjoying my last bit of freedom. Some scammers tried to get me to pay 10 euro for a piece of fucking string at montemartre yesterday. One of them grabbed my wrist and refused to let go even after I squared up and looked him in the eye and told him "ne touche pas mon bras". He still didn't let go so I moved my wrist backwards which drew him towards me, and then did a textbook leg sweep on him and put him on his ass. Him and his buddies started screaming at me and I didn't feel comfortable turning my back on em at that point so I just backed away from them and found an alternate route up hill.
Other than that Paris has been awesome. Ive been running along the south side of the Seine every morning, starting at Notre Dame and running to the eiffel tower and then turning around and running back to Notre Dame. I think its about 5-5.5 miles.
Pic related is the view from the room I'm renting. Its a shoebox, 190 sq. ft. and its on the seventh floor with no elevator. But its got its own shower and toilet so its really all I need. Really cheep too, 30 euro per night.
Is this how nukes work?

friendly fire, someone shot their 1911 at the helicopter and knocked out the radio.
I know there was one in Grozny during 1994 where 2 Russian mechanized units got into a firefight with each other for 6 hours.
That whole siege was pretty much a cluster fuck and has a ton of /k/ tier moments
>>32661771
can vatniks not afford radios?
What does /k/ think of the Autodefensas?
>a vigilante group which defends Mexico from cartels and their influence
Are they approved by /k/?
I'm presuming that any central leadership they have will be immediately bribed, and the carters will start pinning their hits on other cartels as autodefensa activity.
But yeah, a flawed system of self defense beats no self defense.
>>32661542
it's actually the other way around, central leadership is rock solid but the smaller branches and related groups are very shaky
Trust no one, not even yourself
Why did they try and paint him fucking 16 year olds as a bad thing? What else are 16 year olds for?
So /k/ what was their major flaw that screwed them over? was it staying and fighting the police or crappy custom armor?
Close ups on the armor sets
>>32654782
>what was their major flaw that screwed them over?
Probably robbing a bank.
In seriousness, getting spotted early was their biggest fuckup.
If I remember correctly they got spotted in their full gear by an officer right as they entered, so their "8 minute limit" was basically pointless. By the time they tried to leave there was already surrounded and a helicopter was dispatched. So they were screwed.
What the f**k is Australia thinking with buying making these? What purpose does it need AA destroyers for? Do they honestly think this is what's going to deter Chinese/Indonesian aggression? Not only that but they are buying a whole three (3) literally f**king three for a continent with an enormous coastline.

Houston reporting.
>>32644817
Just in case I haven't already made it abundantly clear, we have never had a media presence at a NuggetFest outside of /k/ radio. Last year I received an email from a journalist writing for Forbes that specialized in online forums like 4chan. I thoroughly vetted him by verifying his credentials and reviewing his work history and reading previous articles. I agreed to his request for an interview and answered several questions and provided several photos (no faces or Personally Identifiable Information visible). Josh Aka HallwayGuy also answered several questions and provided some great photos of his firearm collection.
The Journalist then called me and read word for word the entire article so that I could edit the final draft and ensure it was accurate. He was polite and respectful and adhered to my requests to maintain the anonymity of those that attend. He himself has never been to a NuggetFest. I told him he would be permitted to attend an event if he informed me in advance and we would discuss the details prior.
TL;DR
>besides /k/ radio no media has ever attended NuggetFest
>requests from other parties to perform interviews at NuggetFest have been denied in the past
>ALL FORMS OF MEDIA MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE BEFORE ATTENDING
>OP is a fag

On one hand, I'm happy. It was a "buy them now because you'll literally never have another opportunity to do so" thing, but damn, it sucks. Now I have to buy them again.
Okay /k/ I hope you guys can help me out. I'm fairly new to ar15's and have never cleaned one. I own an Armalite m15 just for reference.
>So here I am.
>I take out both pins and separate the upper from the lower.
>I take the upper receiver and slide the charging handle out along with the bolt carrier...
>all of my wat when instead of coming out in two pieces like all the videos I've been watching in preparation for this, it comes out attached as one piece with a fairly long tube at the top of the bolt carrier.
>this tube is attached in such a way that the charging handle can't be completely taken off the bolt carrier.
>the tube has "two" parts I guess. The tip of it can rotate around and the longer part that attaches itself to the bolt carrier.
>Was no ready to move past this so ended up putting it all back together until I know what I'm dealing with.
I didn't take a picture of the tube because I just wanted to put it back together before doing anything else. Can anyone tell me what the hell it is and why it doesn't look like the other disassembly videos I've looked at?
>I attached a regular photo of the ar15 so maybe that'll help.

>Armalite m15
Looks like a bog standard bolt carrier group to *me.*
What do you mean when you say the BCG is supposed to come out 'in two pieces'?

He said tube. I was thinking weirdo piston as well, but...tube. What if his gas tube's come loose from his gas block?
