With all the political violence going on lately I think it might be valuable for me to learn a martial weapon skill, the most viable of witch being big fucking stick whacking. What kind of facility should I look for to find this kind of training? I can't find any HEMA society listings on google maps.
The closest cities to me are Mesa, AZ and Las Vegas, NV respectively.
Anyone here?
Look up Filipino martial arts, escrima, kali, arnis. They incorporate stick fighting and are relatively popular. Most other stick martial arts aren't though.

Why not get a gun? It's like a stick, except you don't need training before you can use it. (although, training will make you better.)
Recommend a first CC handgun. I will be turning 21 in a few months and plan on getting my CC when I do. After I recover from my all liquid diet Ill go out and buy a CC handgun.
I have shot a family members S&W 642 and LCP and I like them both. I shoot the 642 really well and don't mind the recoil I understand the limitations of a snub nose, but i'm comfortable with it. I also liked the LCP. I've been looking at the Sig P290rs, Walther PK380 and other single stack 9mm's and 380's. Any recommendations you would make to a first time CCW buyer?

In no particular order: Ruger LC9s, Walther PPS, Glock 43
Pay no attention to the Shield. Keyboard kommandos love to meme. The Shield is garbage.

Coming from someone who bought a subcompact as their first gun for the same reason; don't do it. Buy a compact (Glock 19, Sig P320 compact, M&P compact). You can carry it and it won't hurt your shooting development the way a subcompact can. Smaller guns have more recoil, so you tend to flinch more. Although it is avoidable, it's more likely to occur with a subcompact.

By having ammo that works just as well and bringing twice as much of it.
How useful is a forward assist? In a modern military sense that is but also for civilians
>HMM, GUN IS NOT WORK?
>I PUSH HARD ON IT. MAKE WORK.
>GUN, ARE YOU WORK?
>GUN?
>but gun was kill
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
>dead, not big surprise
if you have a bolt handle that's directly connected to the bolt, like on an ak, you don't need a forward assist, you could just push on the handle.
I was about to ask this.
I read an article criticizing Imbel and the IA2 for it's similatities with the FAL, like not having a way to force the bolt closed in the event dirt or sand got in the way, and optics mounting points. It had a video of a Rio police officer having to open his FAL mid firefight to force the bolt because it didn't close all the way.
In intense use, like a proper war, how useful is a foward assist, or a reciprocicating bolt handle?
I won the tacky sweater contest at work so I have an extra $250. I want a DA/SA polymer pistol so should I get a SAR B6P / Tanfoglio Witness or save from my next couple of OT checks and get a FNX, CZ P09, 2022, or PX4. Informed opinions appreciated. If the cheap ones are about as good It would be great as it would allow me more cash to buy another holster for it, and spare mags.
>>32754705
I want one. I think their a hidden gem. It sucks they don't come with at least two mags. Remind me op, do they use their own mags or is anyone else producing mags?
>>32754740
>>32754740
not OP but from what i could find CZ mags
>>32754705
Don't get the Turk gun. The witness p is a good gun a $250.
I fucking love nunchaku.
Who else loves nunchaku?
Ask a master anything
>>32754681
Do you become more dangerous when you hold a baby, are near a ladder, and/or don't want trabble?
>>32754692
A nunchaku master is not dangerous

Isn't he a german migrant?
Hasn't it been confirmed that he's on the spectrum
My old range used to have a pretty sweet setup with metal targets at 100yds, but my new one doesn't. I was thinking of getting one of pic-related and setting it up on a wooden post, anything else I should know?
I'm planning on using it for up to .308, which it is apparently rated for, could I just use a bolt screw instead of pic-related to hang it, or is there a good reason to buy one of these?
If you can it's better to angle it facing downwards at about a 45 degree angle and let it swing when getting shot.
I prefer hanging my targets via bolts and chains. I have used shooting targets 7 for my order and they even sell mounting material that will angle the target in that way.
My target is set up bolted to a welded frame made of cheap metal.
i'm planning on getting one soon similar to OP
I'm gonna get a 1/2" rod and bend it like pic related, except straight at the bottom to stick in the ground
Name guns you think should be melted down. I'll start.
>Mosin Nagant
Crude, communist manufacturing even before the war. Decades of corrosive ammo use has turned even the good ones into rusty pieces of garbage.
>DAO revolvers and double action automatic pistols
Solution is search of a problem.
>Remington 700
No further explanation needed.
>>32754480
AR15's, AK-47's, and all other automatic assault weapons.
They are way too dangerous to allow on our streets.
>>32754480
>rossi lever actions
Brazilian trash
>>32754480
I hope you are banned from this board for wanting any gun to be melted down.
Is this a good first salt rifle?
>>32754302
Yes, either this or the DDM4V11. But I recently got the V7 instead and I like it better than the V11
>>32754302
Yes, just don't forget sights or an optic, I saw a guy at the range once with an AR he just bought at the store there.
>No sights
>Cargo shorts
>Mouth breathing
>Fat
Made me think of all you chuckle fucks here.
>>32754302
It's not good it's fantastic.
What have you picked up lately?
I finally got my Ruger American Predator in .308
Put a Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 scope on it.
Out the door, I was at 717. The rifle was 379 and the optic was 169. It has some leupold rings that cost 50 bucks, and I grabbed 60 rounds of ammo.
I've been wanting a .308 bolt gun for some time now, and the Predator was at the top of my list because I really do like Ruger.
Nice boiiiii
You buy match grade rounds or just whatever
>>32754325
Just what ever for now. I need to get it at least close to zero before I start shooting specifically for accuracy.
I just got myself a Shield 45. No pictures though.
Your job is to protect your home land...
..your town, your home, your community, your family
on a budget.
how would you spend funds on developing an adequate home defense / personal arms cache to do so?
Glass.
>>32754180
im looking more for budget friendly arsenals that can protect home, protect person, and go on offensive
>>32754125
first thing i do is run out all the niggers and spics. alot of protection value in not having them around.
So /k/ what's the difference between the two and which is considered the superior rifle of WW1?
IMO the 1917. It was replaced due to political bullshit, not because the rifle had any particular failings.

Cock on open 1903 mauser action.
Cock on close 1917 enfield action.

As long as it isn't the POS ross rifle.
Well, it's time to see how good PSAs customer service is. I recently bought a lower parts kit from them, and inspecting it today I realized it has no springs. Well, no spiral springs, minus the Buffer spring. Just shot them an email.
Anyone have any experience with their customer service?
>>32753987
Slowish but it'll get you there, took like a week and a half to replace my dad's bent buffer tube
>>32753987
>>32755840
Seconded. Keep in mind the insane volume of stuff they send out. If the problem persists, get BBB involved, but don't be surprised if it takes up to a week to get a reply.
>>32755840
this sounds about right slow to respond but once they get things moving they will do all they can to resolve the issue and set things right.
