I don't use a pistol grip shotgun for home defense I use it for drunk rednecks after I leave the bar, and it fits under the back seat of my truck
Its not my fault yer sister was hitting on me
>>
It's kind of autistic to take Mossberg hyping the Shockwave at Shot Show literal and make a whole video on it when they don't even have the gun they're bitching about.
>>
>>32872649
They weren't bitching about that one in particular, just pistol grip shotguns in general for home defense

I have small hands, I'am a lady, and no you do not get to see tits and I will not GTFO.

I got my CC permit today. I'm looking for a perfect handgun to carry.

I really like this gun, but before I buy it. I would like to know if anyone can recommend something that would be better but looks similar and feels similar. The store that I have to get it shipped to will not do refunds. So I need to be 100% sure this is the one.

I have held this gun, and shot several rounds. It felt good. But if there is something better for 450-500 price range for LOWER price would even be better, please let me know.

I like 124 (not +p) in my carry guns and compacts, 147 or 124 +p in my full sized 9mms.

What is the most pain free (and cost effective) way of getting into shooting bp? I'm looking at replicas of either the 1851 Navy or a 1962 police.

Piettas are cheap and a good way to learn the craft. Its fun as hell, but man does it suck cleaning them afterwards. I own like six of the fucking things but I hate shooting them because of how long it takes to clean.

The biggest problem is the lack of full missile configuration F-35s ever taken into account. Harassment AMRAAMs could be used, then the F-35 could drop in stealth mode. It's also very pessimistic when it comes to stealth in general. To be honest I'm curious as to what Mr Dragon would say about this.

How long till the current president decided to build new capital ships for the US Navy?

I don't think anyone would know what a modern battleship would be like, it would need to have a strong emphasis on AA, Missile, Guns and Anit Sub equipment.

Armor is optional as battlecrusiers are a thing and are cheaper to build.

It's got the same problem as carriers, you've gotta design ships with defenses to defend a single ship however WW2 period designs don't have the ability to launch massive fighters.

Unless you count battlecarriers, I don't know who had the idea to merge a battleship with a carrier but they did.

I think they should take lessons from this but instead design it to overwhelm enemy ships with massive swarms of missiles, larger than any carrier could ever launch.
>>
>>32871437
If by "capital ship" you mean some sort of battleship, not even Trump is that completely removed from reality and retarded about naval procurement.

Just watched the Joe Rogan Experience and heard Alex Jones talking about weather weapons. How viable of weapon system would it be to be able to manipulate the weather? What would be the tactical and strategic applications of such a system? How could such a system be countered?

Discuss.

>>32871374
you couldn't really weaponize them like we would think, like bombs or something, but you could probably cause a few tsunamis and hurricanes to force a country to mobilize its defense forces for humanitarian shit, causing a lowered readiness, and then invade in that weakened, fucked up state.
If someone invaded Haiti during the clusterfuck post-earthquake, they would steamroll all the forces there and own that shithole.

Yeah, that makes sense. I also think that it could have lots of naval applications. Conducting combat operations at sea while in a storm in very difficult. It could be as an area denial system to force enemy fleets to change coarse or be used like a smoke screen to cover a retreat.

Although this is about a /fit/ topic, I am interested in what /k/ommandoes see as their minimum fitness standards that can be trained for. I know you can never be too /fit/ but what would be a decent fitness goal to train for? This is for SHTF/short term firefight.

I'd say the ability to run 6 miles without stopping, in PT kit, is a good baseline. This should be completed in less than 50 minutes. 1.5 mile in less than ten minutes. The ability to walk, with a small amount of carried weight, for every hour that the sun is up is a good indicator.

A good, well rounded physique is necessary. Boxing or wrestling for the conditioning, then a cardio intensive team sport. You should play a team sport, even if it's just five a side football or casual basketball, once a week. Learning to swim is also absolutely vital, it isn't just good exercise but a useful tool. Road cycling, too, is something that will bring your base level of fitness higher. For those wanting to go that bit extra, orienteering or fell running will get you to levels of fitness you thought impossible. Skiing, especially back country work, is something that is good fun and physically demanding. If you have the time and the access then mountaineering is a good option too.

That running ability is the first thing you should sort out though. You won't be having any firefights if you're unable to run a few miles at the very least.

>run 1 mile in everyday street clothes in under 9 minutes (nobody really cares what you can run in running shoes and track shorts since you'll never actually be wearing running shoes and track shorts when you need to run)
>Traverse a 6' tall vertical wall in everyday street clothes 5x in 2 minutes, any technique (yes, technique is every bit as important as strength or flexibility--work smarter, not harder)
>pick up and carry a person similar in size/weight to yourself 200 yards without stopping, any way you can
>dead-drag 500lbs, 100 yards across level grass
Those are real-world-applicable bare minimums that even the poorest dorm/apartment dweller should be able to train for without a gym membership or significant risk of injury, and represent functional fitness in combat/SHTF/natural disaster scenarios.

>>32871306
Good thread.

Any suggestions on training for the wall climb and 500lbs drag?Is it worth training carrying a pack? Thanks Anons.
