>i wanted this gun to feel special, but all i got was a pair of socks
a thread like this please.

Responding to OP's threads is like masturbating to a man in colorful knee socks. You know it's gay but something keeps drawing you in.
>the glock 42 was like your sexually conservative girlfriend
>doing a poor job at talking dirty to you for the first time

The belt fed m60 is like a BBW model in a world of 120lb sports illustrated bikini models
sure the sports illustrated girls are great but sometimes i need a girl to lay naked on me and suffocate me, and they just cant do the job.

Is .22 lr the greatest cartridge ever created?
>>32959636
>significant rate of rimfire failure to fire
No.
>inb4 fpbp
That's a funny way of saying 5.56x45 mm NATO.
>>32959636
No. It's literally the most antiquated round still in common use in the US.
Is .223 a good caliber for beginners or I should buy a .22 first?
.22lr is a great cheap practice round. Stay away from .223. Its completely obsolete now that 6.5 grendel has like twice the ballistic coefficient with around the same recoil and ppl are already moving to it..pluss u can get cheap wolf 6.5 grendel for about/less than .223 or 5.56
.22 is cheap cheap cheap if you can find a good deal on it (I've found it at 5 cents per but if you want ok quality and actual availability there's Federal Automatch at 7 cents per round)
.223 is much more expensive.
>>32959562
.223 is great for a first rifle, I only use .22 when I'm screwing around
You are at a private tour of Lockheed Skunkworks in 1988 when your tour guide turns around and says to you, "This is your A-10 Warthog for tonight."
Thoughts?

>...when your tour guide turns around and says to you, "This is your A-10 Warthog for tonight."
No thanks, I've already got one!
>>32959223
Just shrug and continue on with the tour. I don't know how to pilot that thing.

He'll convince other NATO countries to supply the troop deficit. Or he'll just ignore it.
One of the main things that Frontline documentary talks about is how no one in America gives a shit about Afghanistan. Once it was no longer an Al Qaeda training front, it ceased to be worth spending blood and treasure on.
Just the other day Assad said he'd welcome American troops in Syria as long as they were strictly there to fight ISIS. There are a lot of demands on us at a time when the American public has no taste for war.

What's the best <$600 workhorse shotgun?
I'm helping my girlfriend's mom go gun shopping tomorrow; she owns a farm and wants a general purpose gun to help protect her animals/home, so I recommended a 12ga because of versatility. Unfortunately, I don't know a hell of a lot about shotguns.

Mossberg 500 with new old/refinished wood furniture, sling mount, light, replace trigger housing with metal trigger housing, replace safety with enhanced metal safety, be able to use any Mossman 500 length barrels you want.
>>32959145
Just get an AR. Less unwieldy for an older woman.
>>32959145
Cheapest? Second hand Mossberg 500, most likely.
My opinion? Low to mid 20"-ish smooth barrel 12ga with slug type sights. Any brand, really.
Pic related.

Hello /k
Could you please suggest me some movies with guns/k related. I don't really like absolutely pure gun fiction, something with a bit of real life gun logic would be appreciated, but feel free to suggest away.
Thanks.

A belated answer to 82a? All of the US up gunned versions of 8x armor were already done by the Europeans. There's dozen better AAVs in production, all cost less money than the cost just to upgun the Stryker.
If I was planning for US Army, I would be focusing more on the Russian artillery operations in recent times than purely their armored forces
>>32958672
Turrets in the back, should be as close to the front as possible.
What's the minimum caliber to use for a whale? Pic semi related
>>32958606
I would say anything with significant penatration. Like you mean landwhale yes? If walrus hunting is a thing whatever they use for that. I would trust my 357 mag to take out a ultra fatty.
Calling all cuckmmandos, how's it hanging? Follow any state laws lately?
#DONOTCOMPLY
Seriously though, I shoot at a range (in CA) where LEO frequent and all I hear them discussing is how they refuse to enforce shitty laws and the RO's concur and say they refuse to narc on people who have "evil" features on their rifles. Never comply with unconstitutional laws! Period!
I don't even follow nfa laws
I've only ever met one cop who says he'd enforce mag laws purely because his brother in law scalps them, which I'm calling bullshit on because it's impossible for one cop to go around confiscating magazines and then somehow directing them to someone who can sell them back
>>32958541
I would recommend anyone living in a shithole like CA buy a 3d printer and learn to use it.
For totally legal purposes and absolutely nothing else, of course.
>>32958541
Personally I don't mind since life is good and 90% of the guns I want I already own and are compliant with the laws anyways.
Could a double action striker fire be an actual thing?
>>32958528
It is.
>>32958528
A glock striker is kind of a double action...I mean it's partially cocked when the slide returns, and then you finish the whole shebang of cocking and firing with the trigger pull...pretty much a double action.
>>32958528
Kahr basically uses a double action striker
>>32958575
Well one of the huge benefits of DA is being able to actuate the hammer (or striker) with the trigger after a light primer strike
Really can't do that with a glock
Where did I fuck up /k/?

tabs are in canteen pouch and ammo didn't quite make it into the screenshot.

There is plenty of websites that are dedicated to bug out bags, shit like that. Dunno why you'd come here over one of those places. Nothing but trolling fags mostly.
Build the bag for the needs of your own. Just cause some one else or I suggest some thing. Doesn't mean that you yourself would need it.
