'Sup /cm/. I have a bunch of handguns but nothing particularly powerful. Originally was thinking of maybe a Ruger in .44mag but then I saw Glock came out with a 10mm longslide. The softer shooting and extra capacity turns me on.

Yes/no/opinions?

Are you really supposed to believe there were people so stupid that walked into their deaths so easily?
They didnt shot, they didnt run into the battle, they just let half of the soldiers died. Why didnt they shoot? Why didnt they use metal shields or something to advance? What was the fucking point?

>after shooting rentals for a few weeks decide to buy a gun
>get a mauser
>go to range using PPU 8mm mauser
>hit the target but utterly lack consistency

I shot 57 bullets and god damn I just couldn't figure out where the gun was hitting when I was aiming down the sight. I used binoculars to figure out what the fuck was going on but even then I could never compensate properly to know exactly where the bullet was going.

Knights would beat both vikings and samurai.

Vikings are just tard barbarians.
Steel from nips was trash and too brittle and to make matters worse, they mostly fought with bows so melee knight vs melee samurai = dead samurai.

I don't even know why someone would make a shitty youtube video about this kind of shit.
Maybe he can make a stone vs knife vs glock video one day too.

Not to mention the fact that after contact with Europeans armor from Europe was highly sought after by samurai because it was of higher quality than lamellar

Game theory is and always has been retarded.

I'm probably retarded but how to laser sights work? I mean they have to be angled for the beam to intersect the path of the bullet but then they go on forever on that line so really isn't there only a small range at which they're accurate?

Best advice I could give you would be not to run with a rucksack on, unless it's more backpack sort've shape/size than a proper, large ruck.

If you want to, beat suggestion would be to strap to fucker up tight as fuck and sort've shuffle rather than running, as in lift your feet the minimum distance, almost sort've scraping them along the floor. This minimises overall movement so your pack isn't pulling you rearwards and side to side.

All that said, I'm gonna stress again, don't run with a pack on, especially if it's weighted. You'll fuck yourself and the pack up real quick. Even in the military, running with a pack is done for a couple of hundred meters at most. Best of luck my dude, if you have any questions just ask.

What is it with this trend of asking for recommendations without giving any details about what you want?

!!!Guy with the Glock 26 problems!!!
Someone started a thread about how his new Glock 26 wasn't ejecting and it 404'd before I could reply. (Naturally there were a dozen replies saying he was a little bitch and kept limp wristing but nothing productive)
There are 4 real reasons a new gun will have extraction issues, so listen up.
>limpwristing
Seriously, it's probably this. Get a better grip on the base of the gun with the ring finger/pinky of your support hand and get the web of your dominant hand as high up on the frame as possible.
>shit in the chamber
Thoroughly clean the barrel and chamber with a brass brush. See if a new round slides all the way in flush and drops out without resistance.
>extractor problems
A broken or incorrect extractor, or improperly installed extractor spring could keep the spent case from ejecting. Make sure your extractor can move back and forth without binding, and that there is spring tension holding it forward. You should be able to take the slide off and just hold a round to the breech with the extractor under it's own tension, but push out horizontally with your finger. Load a full mag, racking every round into the chamber and out by hand to see if the rounds are coming out smoothly.
>short-stroking
If everything else works when you run it by hand, and you use a proper, strong grip, the slide likely isn't coming all the way back during recoil. You can get some heavier ammo to increase the recoil impulse to the point it'll cycle, or swap the main recoil spring out for a lighter one.
Also, old-timer gunsmith AMA thread? I mostly work on competition guns, but have worked on just about every genre of commercially available firearm.

Funny coincidence this thread showed up. I went to the range today with a G26 and was about to ask about a similar situation. I'm not an avid shooter, but after about 60-70 rounds today, and the brass started ejecting all over the place. Straight back, occasionally, it'd fly to my left. I'm assuming your answer applies to my situation as.
>>
>>32961490
Do you pay the ITAR reg fee or ignore it?
>>
>>32961594
I don't let people ship to me, so I don't pay it. I've never ran into an issue.
>>32961551
It'll be the same components to look at, but it happens for a different reason.
If you're getting an erratic ejection pattern out of an older gun it probably just needs a good cleaning. Strip your slide down and toss it in an ultrasonic cleaner if you have one available. If not, give it a bath in your favorite flavor of bore cleaner to get the crap out of your extractor spring channel. After a few minutes spray off with denatured alcohol to get the solvent out and dry it off with compressed or canned air. In my experience, a light coat of oil on the spring is more than enough to lube the channel, DO NOT over lubricate the spring or channel. Same goes for the striker channel.

I hate the people who say you're not a real gun owner if you don't have a 1911, or a Hi-Power, or an AR15, or a .308 battle rifle, or an AK, or a pump shotgun, or a bolt rifle, and on and on and on. Nigga fuck you.

Going to Wisconsin for a while.
Your conceal carry laws seem pretty legit but do they have any weird quirks?
I'll be in Madison and Milwaukee mostly but also more rural.
Any cool /k/ related megastores like ridiculously awesome bass pro shop in Memphis Tennessee?
Any place to avoid?
Any sights must be seen?

Madisonfag here.
Carry laws a pretty easy, being Wisconsin, you can carry in the bar.

No real 'megastore' around here. Generally if I want to go to a gunshop, I hit up the Midwest Industries showroom. And I can hit up lake

Be careful in Milwaukee, I've heard if you're on the wrong side you'll get shot if you're not black. Outside of that theres not much to be concerned about. Also try cheese curds if you havent had them yet
>>
Not aware of any CC quirks. There's no place to shoot near Madison, other than a cleverly hidden DNR range in Yellowstone Park and Deerfield Pistol and Archery, both an hour or so away.

Eat at the Old Fashioned downtown. Get their cheese curds, and an Old Fashioned.

Looking for a decent lightweight combat boot for light packing, mountaineering, running and gunning, that sort of thing.

I was looking at the Lowa Zephyr GTXs, but was discouraged upon reading how poor their traction on wet or slick cement/rock. I plan on wearing them often.

Is there a boot out there offers the lightweight of the lowas with better wet traction for my oft-wet clime?
