Were women even allowed to be infantry when m16s were issued? This tag makes no sense.
If you're in the armed service and haven't been trained to shoot BAKA/10
M16s are still standard issue in the Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

What is the best looking .22?
Which .22 do you own?
Should a beginner get a .22 to train?
I just got a buckmark and i think it looks amazing.
My only regret is that I live in CA so no Ruger mark IV for me
>Best looking
I'd vote for the Ruger MKII Slabside
I really want this. Do I start the process of waiting for a suppressor? or wait for the HPA?

I am considering purchasing an SKS from a private selller. This SKS is not in great condition but has all the serial numbers on it. Im not sure how I would go about finding out if this gun is stolen or not besides taking it into a police station or a gun store, but I know my state has a database for stolen guns that can be sifted through by serial number. The SKS has two serial numbers and I'm not sure if I have to include one, or both. Can anyone provide some advice?
Pic unrelated

It's a private sale, fuck it.
As long as the guy isn't a cop, Just don't give too much info about yourself, and the guy will effectively act as a proxy.
Good murder weapon to use
Not that I'm advocating murder,
(unless it's on minorities, of course.)
Same situation,
my friend got an SKS-D and he had it for a while and then was selling it, but because it had no papers and didnt know the history, he ended up selling it for $200
I thought about buying it cause its a steal at that price but could have been stolen, or used as a murder weapon, so idk id rather not get into legal trouble with my firearms
>>33093042
Let's say it's stolen, there is no way to return it to it's owner.
Let's say it's been used in a murder. Ballistic forensics are a meme that are used to trick juries, it can only legitimately associate a bullet with a barrel length and twist rate.
Either way, it impacts you in absolutely zero way.

Good shit about the jogger though lol.

Hey /k/, I've been poking around the internet for a few days trying to find a reputable guide on making 12 gauge ammo for a homemade slamfire shotgun. I figure birdshot is best for my purposes (defense and bird hunting), do any of you happen to have a "how-to" or know a good place for me to narrow my search?

Its blackpowder tho, dont know if smokeless powder would work for that
Literally Google.
Do you have a press? Hornady makes/made a plastic cheapie that will load a few rounds. Craigslist/garage sales will have old single stage presses for cheap.
From there, you need hulls, primers, powder, wads, and shot.
Deprime, prime, add powder, add wad, add shot, crimp, shoot.
Done.
European 12 Ga. Reloader here, firstly you don't really need a press. A cheap press drill will let you load any shotshell both with star crimp or round roll crimp.
Powder burning rates are among those for pistol/revolver ranges.
You can pick literally shit tons of hulls at clay range, look for the most recently shot without rust.
Also AMA I guess

Nogunz here, planning on buying an SKS this summer, what are some useful accessories for it? What ammo types should I avoid? What are some important things I should know before buying one?
Dovetail mounts for scopes, or a scout mount would be good choices, Tapco or archangel stocks are great. You can always get Tapco 20 round mags, or just get an AK mag adapter. People say bad things about the Tapco mags, but in all honestly they feed steel case really well and I've never had problems with them. After the mag, you could always file the lips on the bolt down so you can remover the magazine even with the bolt forward. A few things to out for corrosion in the barrel and previous modifications, and really just general misuse. Make sure to clean the bolt assembly out good to avoid a slamfire as well. You may have to do some manual fitting as not all sks's are built quite the same, so get a filing kit and que up podcasts.

Yeah. I don't... You fucking pleb.
Hey, /k/.
I daily carry my Ruger LCP gen II, which has abysmal sights. This isn't the LCP II, but rather an updated version of the first with slightly taller sights.
Anyway, I bought some Testor's Enamel and I painted some little fluorescent green dots on the rear sights, and covered the front sight and the top of the hammer with fluorescent orange. The orange is pretty good, but the green sucks.
Would I go about drilling small divits in the slide just like any other piece of metal, or is there a trick to it? Will the hammer be damaged if I make a divit in it? Would you guys reccomend a different method or product?
Pic somewhat rated, not mine.
I painted my sights with Tamiya acrylic paint, one layer of gray primer followed by sky blue and finally a gloss clear coat. The primer helps the blue pop and the gloss helps more light to bounce off. You could use matte if you want, since a clear coat also protects the paint. I think the primer is the most important since it helps the color pop more than painting directly on black.
>>33090206
consider this: for proper aiming you need to be focusing on your front sight. green in the brightest color to the human eye. the way you've painted your sights is counter productive.
secondly, the LCP just sucks. I advise upgrading.
>>33090206
I paint all my front posts with glow in the dark fluorescent green paint. Works great in the day time and works great at night (if you're able to charge the paint with a flashlight or you're going from bright to low light areas). Simple and cheap is often the best solution for mods like this, just don't be a nigger about it. Do it right and do it well.
Is 3-gun fun? I kind of want to get into it, but is it worth the cost (ammo, gear, guns)?
I have the guns, but they're not the best options.

Would like to know this as well, I got the same set up as you. Except it's a 1911.
From what I've looked online, your set up doesn't matter early on, and you should just focus on the fundamentals before worrying about gear. 3 gun seems to be like the auto-cross of guns.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo1njGJOlJM
>>33090015
I own an A2 clone and it's probably a bad choice for use in a 3 gun competition.
It doesn't like to transition from target to target because of how fucking long it is.
Also, iron sights aren't very efficient time wise.
>>33090015
I'm sure there is a division you can enter in that your gear wouldn't be a handicap in. Not every 3 gun competition is open class only.
