Who needs a flamethrower when you have a machine gun?
Can we talk about the fact that this dude straight up killed someone in the street with a Coldsteel Gladius? I always thought they were gimmicky but holy fuck I guess they get the job done.

A sharp piece of steel is going to get the job done more often than not, especially if they thrusted with it as intended.
>>33399418
a sharped piece of rebar could ge tthe job done.
this isn't a testament of coldsteels strength so much as the frailty of the human body.
>>33399434
I just find it amazing someone went out and used a fucking gladius to commit a first degree murder

Well, according to the movie, if a giant monster is swatting your helicopters out of the sky, instead of having them shoot at him from half a mile away or a couple thousand feet above his head, you should fly all your helicopters within his arms' reach so he can rip them in half. Also, be sure not to send one of your helicopters back to the ship to get help - that's for pussies.
Used this thing in BF1 and looked it up a bit. Apparently this thing is one of the worse guns ever made as the the open magazine got a lot of mud in them.

the american ones were the bad ones, the french ones for its time it worked as well as one could expect from early 20th century automatic weapons

When did Anti Gun hollywood become a thing? It seems in the 70s a ton of celebrities and actors openly toted guns and yet these days Hollywood is one of the main sources of anti gun propaganda, What is so ironic though is the rise of action movies in light of this.
These same anti gun hollywood morons are basically part of the gun industry. They take real weapons, put them in the hands of imaginary heroes, and blow them the fuck up on the silver screen in front of everyone. Why does a Beretta 92 cost almost 100 dollars more than a Glock? I bet at least part of it has to do with it's large presence in 80s/90s action movies. John Wick 2 brought to light something that has most likely been going on for decades. Gun companies paying a pretty penny to make sure their products are put into the hands of big movie stars, and yet these same movie stars want to pipe up about how we shouldn't be able to have guns.
Why don't you use drainage pipes instead of real guns in your movies like they do in Uganda then.

Why don't modern wars end?
>>33396913
Ancient wars never seemed to end either. They also didn't have digital cameras or the accesses to globally viewable uploads.
>>33396913
Because total war is """""inhumane""""" and killing civilians/women/children is wrong
Because of unclear objectives.
Can we have a thread for discussing military/war memoirs? I recently finished Storm of Steel by ernst junger, and it was great. I picked up pic related but have been pretty disappointed with it so far. The author does nothing but constantly bitch and whine. What are some memoirs from modern conflicts that are actually worth reading?
>>33396381
Dunno. I tried reading 'Kill Bin Laden' by "Dalton Fury", and to be honest I couldn't make it more than 50 pages. I just couldn't go any further because it's nothing but this guy sucking himself off for being Delta. I get the feeling the author was the Delta's "that guy" of the unit. The writing is also terrible- very repetitive vocab and it jumps around and doesn't establish things well. Shame, I'd have loved to hear about the Tora Bora operation in a well told manner.
Not really a memoir but Relentless Strike is an amazing book about the history of JSOC.

Was this Chinese fuck wrong on anything he wrote about in "Art of War"?
his genius is overstated. he is famous for being the oldest surviving author of common fucking sense.
>>33395498
Look at it more as a guideline. Some times you won't be able to apply what he says, some times you can.
>>33395498
you mean the overly simplistic common sense shit, or did you find some lost chapter nobody knows about?

>Maj. Gen. Scott West, who is the Air Force director of current operations, told subcommittee members that the service is in the “pre-decisional stage” of potentially replacing the aircraft.
>“I don’t know if that’s formal, but I know we are discussing ways to maximize [the Air Force budget] and minimize the number of systems that we operate,” he said.
There's no way they'd actually do this, right?
Well why not?

It looks like they are going to make the charges stick.
What do you think will happen to Redjacket firearms without the CEOs leadership? Do you think quality will suffer? I have one of their ARs but i bought it when he was there so the quality is good
I am not sure how the liberal antiguns people are getting these charges to stick with zero evidence against him but i guess that's the world we liven in where Obama can run guns to mexico but goes after anyone of merit in the gun community
