Love this one

Can someone explain to me why these never caught on?

Imagine if in WW1 they had these with 6 round capacity and still used the normal 8mm and 303. rounds. Would they not he easier and cheaper than bolt actions?

They seem like they could've been better than bolt actions since you could reload and fire it a lot quicker plus it would be lighter. Why didn't they catch on,/k/?

How the fuck is that better or quicker than a bolt action with clips?

I'm talking about if they improved the guns so that it would work similar to a revolver only with larger ammo and, of course, a larger gun.

(((Fags))) from a British tabloid decided that the slingshot Channel promotes terrorism since they found a vídeo where a "stab proof" vest is pierced by a home made knife. THEY WANT TO TAKE DOWN THE SLINGSHOT CHANNEL. As it happens the Channel has nothing to do with terrorism, it is just about legal home made slingshots of very high power. Please, help the guy out by giving him likes and deniying the anti weapon Fags this victory.

what's your experience with yours?
any advice?

I bought a simmons x20-x60 spotting scope for 70 bucks from cabellas. It's really nice for the price. Came with a hard plastic case but no tripod. I bought a shitty tripod and it sucks... no much wobble. A decent tripod is like 200 bucks.

Hey /k/, so for a while I was set on the idea of getting a 9mm shield for my first carry gun (though not my first pistol, I have an XD-40) though as I got to thinking, I thought I'd be better with it if it was more gun to shoot, so I thought up a Sig P239. Does anyone have one of these? Thoughts on it? Additionally thoughts on getting it in .40 because I already have .40 dies, and it's only 3oz lighter than my low recoil XD?

If you are thinking about a single stack I have had a much better experience with the Walther PPS over the shield. My EDC is a USP Compact in 9mm. I've had a lot of guns but this one has personally been the best to me.

I've heard great things about the P239. I've owned a number of Sigs and only had one negative experience (I think I got a lemon P226). That being said my nightstand gun is a P320 full-size in 357 Sig.

I personally like 9mm over 40 for capacity but its your call. I only have 9mm and 357 Sig. 9mm is common but 357 Sig is always around even when panic buying happens.

One of the coolest current production ones I've seen is the Lutel Zweihander with the flame blade. And, all things considered, $700ish is not too expensive.

Problem is, it's one of the few swords they will not ship to the US.

Been wanting an ak for a long time now and have been looking at the really nice rifles by arsenal. I was thinking about getting this:

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=2213&virtuemart_category_id=23&Itemid=765

What do you guys think? What would you recommend as a first ak? 7.62 or 5.45, doesn't really matter to me as I've shot both and don't mind if the ak is either or. What are the best ak's for the money? Is the SLR-104 a bad choice as a first ak? Post some recommendations and I'll take a look, would be really appreciated.

SLRs are going to be one of the best AKs you can get. Most people will suggest to get a WASR-10 as your first, but you cannot go wrong with Vepr, SGL, or SLRs.

I was reading about the quality of arsenal rifles. Even though they are about a grand each, I think it would be a good investment, I just wanted to hear what /k/ thought before i bought one.

If there are other aks with similar quality at same or lower/high price I'm more than willing to listen.

Hi there /k/, and good morning from the east coast.

I find myself drawn to the design and history of bowie knives. There's something fun about using a big blade, and apparently something "right" about it, as it's been integrated (more or less) into a lot of modern combat knives/camp knives.

I've seen someone say that bowie knives are even a piece of Americana, which sounds super fucking pretentious.

Personally I enjoy them, but what are your thoughts on them? As fighting knives, as tools, or whatever?

>>33518154

They're ok.

A cultural thing just like kukris etc... only more commercial because jim bowie's knife didnt look like that and "bowie knife" was basically a marketing catch for people to buy big british knives manufactured in Sheffield and imported to the US.

I dont particularly see any avantage to bowies, since daggers pierce better and spear points chop better.

Seriously, look at that sexy ass action

I've almost got a grand saved up, and I'm thinking about getting another AR, but I live in Washington State and I'm worried about our stupid Attorney General passing an "Assault Weapons Ban" for our state, he tries every year. A part of me wants to go and buy up 10 lowers, I've already got 4. What do you guys think? Wise investment as they are very cheap right now?

yeah I'm kinda leaning heavily towards that.

Hi /k/ i need your help on this.
The short of it is: my company sergeant said we had to fashion wooden galil silhouettes to take on patrol exercises because they can't take the real ones out of the armory for this purpose.
So in order to get this done properly i need the exact measurements for the rifle, can /k/ hook a fellow recruit up?

I didn't feel like this belongs in BRG because it's not and PSG or precision rigs would imply I already have it, so I'd like to solicit your ctiticism on my idea of a future precision AR-10 build. So here's what I wanted to do.
>Aero precision M5E1 receiver set, prebuilt upper in 6.5 creedmoor with a 22 inch barrel
>Manganese phosphate or nitride BCG
>A2 style stock
>M-Lok M5E1 handguard
>Lower built with a spare lower parts kit save for the trigger
>Hypertouch 24C for the trigger
>45 degree selector
>SWFA SS 10X42 optic
Is there anything in particular I'm getting wrong? Is there a better receiver set I should be looking at? a different trigger like a two stage? I was thinking also maybe paint it with some nice non-camo/black colors like red or blue, maybe do a two tone or three tone on it. is there anything GLARINGLY wrong with this build? tell me how you would do it.
Pic related but not fully representative.

Free float barrel, trigger, glass. That's all that matters when it comes to AR performance.

I'm not going to pretend I know shit about fuck because I don't, but have you considered the Magpul PRS stock? Heard it's pretty good and sounds like it would fit perfectly with what you are trying to build.

Just something to think about.

Reciever set with prebuilt upper?
You mean like it's one of those OEM style things?

Your list sounds like a budget build that should go over pretty well.
