Let's have a French military thread

Here is a popular weapon.

bump
Since it turned out that his daughter had been 'dun befo' and the show got taken off the air, let's talk about the most retarded moments.
A very simple one: when they made a rapid entry rifle/shotgun, they decided to use a fucking saiga 12 underneath. This made it massively clunky, and guaranteed it would never be adopted by any American police forces ever due to it being Russian.
Will was a fucking retard, and I miss talking about how retarded he was.
When they tried to make a Gatling gun from scratch in like a week and just opted to slap 3 Saigas together and made it spin using a handheld drill motor.
>>34990345
Lmao, forgot about that one. I like saiga's, but why the fuck did they use them constantly on the show?
When they tried to make a mounted GPMG for police patrol boats and bolted two M16s together and put Beta mags on them...
Lets have a bush war blaster thread, G3 vs FAL also welcome
What kind of accuracy can I expect from a ptr?
>>34989436
2.5-3 moa.
They are not inherently accurate rifles, although the "my PTR shoots .5 inch groups at 100 yards!" crew will chime in shortly.
Remember that to get the G3 to 1 MOA, HK reworked the barrel, trunnion, receiver, bolt head, rollers, trigger, and more.

>>34978469
Guns dogfight it's neck and neck, anything else the F-22 wins.
>>34978469
F-22 has better sensors, pilot, engine, maneuverability, stealth, cockpit, and weapons.
The Su-35 failed to attract orders from India or Brazil.

It's that time again! Getting an early start to give new shooters time to get to the range
Let's get out to the range and actually use our guns.
Thread premise
>Drill threads will be posted regularly for one month, in this case until the end of September
>Post your targets ITT and we will talk about shooting tips, stance, etc...
>At the end of the month we will organize the targets by score and you can compete for bragging rights
Last time we did this was all good natured fun and it motivated a hand full to get out and shoot, let's do it again!
>>34963170
This month will be a repeat of the first DOTM, the FBI bullseye qualifications test
>Rules in OP
>Target is a B-8 25yd pistol target
>Pic related is a printer friendly target if you can't get a B-8
>Holes cutting a scoring ring receive the higher score
>It is encouraged you shoot your carry gun, however, we saw some goofy shit last time
>>34963170
Example of a target, this would be a 283/300
Easiest way to score is subtraction, 10 is a zero subtraction from score, 9 is -1, 8 is -2, etc...
200 is passing, 260 is 'instructor'
>>34963843
Coworkers target (we're on the range now)
This would be a 204/300. Still passing.
I'm looking for a revolver for /out/door carry because I need something bigger than lol9mm. I don't know what to look for in revolvers other than stay away from taurus. Preferably a DA but SA is too easy if the price is worth it
>.44mag vs .357mag or .38 special?
>What brands are best for the lowest cost?
>What models are /k/ approved?
I got a taurus in 357 mag. I haven't had any issues out of it other than feeling a tad bit of gas hit my left cheek when I fire. Ran probably 200 rounds through it so far.
>>34960293
honestly, probably the only one here who likes it.. but the ruger blackhawk convertible in 45lc/45acp is bretty neat
>>34960293
Ruger GP100 in .357 with a 4" barrel is the best new mfg general use revolver for the money. If you want to save a few bucks buy used. Most people don't shoot their guns much. Read link below on evaluating revolvers for proper function.

Knife thread, wooden handle scales are best handle scales edition
>>34950205
>wooden handle scales
they generally look nice, but i'd be concerned about cracking.
especially on a cheaper knife
>>34950205
do you guys like my knive?
>>34950861
No.
It wants to look like a collector's knife but is a CNC abomination made of aluminium and cheap knife steel. The recurve in the blade and air vent holes in the handle for fat hands qualify it for the title of gourmet class mall ninja knife.

Is that a Sten Mk II?
Alright /k/omrades I got this zt0350bw from amazon, and being the paranoid cunt that I am, I looked it up to see if it's fake...
All the videos I saw, the scales were milled out differently and the pocket clips were engraved, not painted like mine.
So my question is: has ZT changed this or did I get shafted?
Also share your bamboozled knife/gear stories
