Its like you want your guns to rust
have you ever seen the inside of a fryer? its filthy as shit and you want your gun to look like that
>>33556358
you know theres no such thing as "french fry oil", right anon?
>>33556358

What's /k/s take on side plates for a plate carrier?
Worth the extra weight? A meme?
>>33556321
>get arm shot off because you are so slow because you're packing around underarm retard squares
>at least it didn't go into my side
>>33556337
This. Fuck side plates, armored and extended epaulets are where it's at.
Seriously though, im kind of curious myself.
Only reason I got them is because a cousin of mine who was a marine was killed from the side over in Iraq
Why does anyone think they can fight off a swat team? don't they know that they can just get turn off water and power? Even then , don't they know that they won't just give up?

You're not being raided because you're smart.
Most people do surrender.

they don't - they are suicidal and just want to die and kill other people while getting killed themselves
So what are the bad laws Colorado has? Is the magazine limit still in effect? How hard is it to get a Carry permit if I already have one from another state?
is Colorado a good place for /k/ommandos?
>>33556270
Mag limit is "in effect" but not enforced by anybody and is probably on the way out soon with how hard LE is pushing against it.
Carry permits are pretty straightforward so I wouldn't imagine it being hard if you had an existing one.
It's decently /k/ as long as you're outside the Denver/Boulder area.
Someone will probably say something about how it's shit because muh California invasion, but it's overblown and they're mostly concentrated in the Denver area.
>>33556395
Adding to this: Denver has an actual, no-shit AWB in effect. No other cities are allowed to have one though.
Regarding the magazine laws: Governor's getting sued by pretty much every sheriff over it, gun stores will usually just disassemble 15+ rd mags and give you the parts. Most online retailers won't ship them though, so that's a pain. Zero people charged with these laws, cops know it'll fall flat in court, even after they repealed a bunch of it (removable floorplates, transfer of mags are okay now)
>>33556441
Also can't OC in Denver, but just denver, they are almost treated like a separate state as far as laws go
/firstgun/fag here. Looking for all the above in a single package. Recomendations? I like pic related aesthetic: Wood on steel/nickel. I think Rock Island GI has an amazing aesthetic but a friend told me they are junk.
>>33556253
holy shit that didn't look like a kahr from the thumbnail
>>33556253
and no I bought by friend a Rock Island GI model for his birthday and it works great
>>33556253
It looks like someone smeared it in photoshop. Like they smeared the while gun slightly downwards around the trigger gaurd.
Anyone else get the impression it's warped?
This is going to kill the F-35 program. The eurocanards are all overpriced and showing their age. This new fighter looks like it could take over arms sales and completely wipe out F-35 export prospects. Now with Brexit, UK arms sales is no longer part of the EU economy so it looks like Germany is ready to step up, glad to see that Germany is ready to make a strong EU.

>was sent to present day zanzibar
>to stop war leader and to rescue elite soilders that were captured by the war leader
>as i went through the mission i was ambushed and there were lots of traps set for me
>i manage to get passed every single one of them
>i also manage to save all of the elite soilders and met this beautiful woman
>i found out the base was housing a new experimental weapon
>Latter on i found out the base leader was non other then my own CO the one i was talking to in the radio and was knew were i was so was setting traps for me
>I faught him to death with just a can of spray and a lighter making a make shift flame thrower
Okay, I know I'm going to catch a load of bullshit for this, but I'm sure plenty of you guys are on here lurking. I'm new to the USAF, just stationed in Japan, and working the flightline. I thought I'd ask because I know a lot of you are experienced military and I'd rather not go to my supervision just yet.
>never work with tools before
>barely glide through tech school as a jet mechanic
>stationed here, but tech school was more shop-oriented ad I'm out on the runway
>all new shit, and the thing that's supposed to be easy, B-manning, is fucking IMPOSSIBLE to get right
>all I have to do is put brakes down, pin some different parts and ground, but I can't remember the orders to do stuff in and usually get anxious and almost do something stupid or too soon
How do I overcome this? It's a small obstacle but it feels like a mountain to me. Other maintenance isn't hard at all, but when the jet's on I get psyched out. I'm studying CDCs and feel confident but honestly my other performance is bringing that down, and I just found out they'll be switching my shift.
Any advice at all for overcoming fear and being timid at this job would help. Don't know where to turn so I came here, I don't want to look incompetent around other Airmen
>>33555819
Just tough it out for a while and eventually you will get a feel for things, until it will come naturally. If you're a 3-level, you should have somebody overseeing you anyway, so nothing to worry about.
If you need to take it slow, take it slow. Don't get signed off on TBA items unless you're actually comfortable with it, and don't agree to do a PE unless you're actually confident with it. It's better to look incompetent than to speed and actually fuck something up.
Also, if you're straight out of tech school, it's normal to struggle. Things will smooth out eventually. This is the stage where people are supposed to work through their problems. This is why there are supposed to be 5- and 7-levels following up and making sure shit is done right.
As long as you don't do anything stupid like crash a bomblift into something or leave the pitot cover on with power on, you'll be fine.
>>33555994
This is really good advice, I got a PE today and signed off on it but that was for some legit easy stuff. I guess I'm 10/10 at washing planes. It's just frustrating, the other day I knew I had the process down; Walk under, immediately get pulled back because of a miscommunication (I figured later that I knew what I was doing that time.)
I was told I'm improving but also given the option to opt to back shop. That's what I wanted originally but now I have something to prove and sort of want the challenge of flight line. And so far I haven't fucked up badly enough to be put on Maintainer Humor, which is good. Even getting out there and volunteering on base programs so they know I'm not a dirtbag.
It's a weird feeling, joining the military. I wanted to be an out-standing, ace-every-test, gung ho maintainer machine, but I'm barely scraping I feel like. I'm getting better but holy shit it's slow
>>33556098
>It's a weird feeling, joining the military. I wanted to be an out-standing, ace-every-test, gung ho maintainer machine
Don't worry. They'll beat that morale right out of you.
Is there a company that makes a 7.62X39 piston upper for ARs? If so, how much are they? Would I be able to just buy the piston kit and use a regular 7.62X39 barrel?
>>33555695
You need a different lower
>>33555695
Why not just buy an ak?ars in 7.62x39 are garbage.
>>33555708
this. nobody has come up with a good one yet. anything passable is way overpriced for what it is.
This is a shotgun general. Anything goes and anyone can talk anything shotty. I'm interested in what you guys have to say, me and a friend are looking into buying ones for ourselves and thinking we're going to go with the Mossberg 500. Thoughts?
>>33555190
I love my mossy. For general shotgunning, either a m500/590 or an OLDER 870. Nova's aren't bad either. Go with a bead sight no matter what. Ghost rings may look cooler, but they aren't as practical.
>>33555245
I had to turn my bud off from Remington he was really liking their prices but I told him how they're newer models are really worth it. Will Remington make a comeback and make qaulity firearms once again?
>>33555245
Why are bead sights superior?

Kek, not shilling frump any more are you Turkish rape baby
Im fucking sick of "women in the army" threads, so i want to ask a different question.
Are women better pilots?
>>33555101
lol god no, women don't have the same reflexes as men. They make good caretakers though, raise mens morale, so I think they fit quite alright as nurses and medical personnel, not much else
Manlets generally make the best pilots, but GeForce tolerance takes core strength. In helos and transports I don't imagine it matters much

A classic
You think if you had been in charge of either side in WWI (and given you have the knowledge you do now) do you think you could've brought about an end to the war earlier than November, 1918?
No because for all the things written about the general staff during that war, they were (in regard to Germany, the UK and France) competent, experienced and intelligent commanders who fully understood and appreciate the limitations of their assets.
>>33554919
The bottleneck for WWI was not really strategy or tactics (after the first few months, that is), but technology. A modern general wouldn't be able to do any better because the technology required for infantry at the time to function as non-trench dependent squads had yet to be perfected until the tail-end of the conflict, such as radios portable at the squad level needed to properly coordinate artillery.
>>33554919
Not so hard
http://defence-blog.com/news/boeing-to-convert-f-16-jet-fighters-into-full-scale-aerial-targets.html
Is Boeing tries to screw Lockmart? It's like how Bell made an electric chair using AC current to give Tesla bad name
>>33554159
Why not convert them into autonomous fighters? I think they would make an ideal testbed when the time comes.
>>33554159
There's literally nothing wrong with any of this, the F-16s are already made, they're just being converted into targets, which we need.
Are you retarded?
>>33554159
It's a right of passage you dumbass. The F-4 Phantom went this way and now it's the F-16's turn.
