I personally would skip 9mm, add .22LR and .308 and reloading supplies. I'm not a big PREPPER guy but if SHTF I don't see much use in a handgun, if you've got a pistol carbine then that would probly work fine anyway.

stock up on 22lr. lowest common denominator and due to its price and small size, it's the easiest to stockpile. makes a great currency after SHTF.

If it's not sporterized then $450 is a fantastic price for a Model 1898 Springfield. Rifle or carbine?

If it's a US gun, then it should have the best looking finish of any US service rifle you have ever seen... unless buba has sanded it down in the past.
the sling mounts tend to freeze in place.
extremely smooth bolt, would like to say because of the limited amount of locking surface (no idea why they are).
