How is this? Is it a piece of shit?
Worried about the plastic upper in a gun that's over 300 bucks. I hear accuracy is bad but how bad? Like 2-3 moa or worse?
>>33640341
its fun but if your in it for a 22 rifle a marlin or ruger is a better gun at half the price
>>33640356
I have a cz 452 so I've got heirloom quality .22 LR covered. I just thought it might be something fun.
The takedown 10/22 I was looking at was about 300 all said and done and the 15-22 would be about 350 all said and done.
>>33640372
if yoyu want it cause you want it just get one. the mossberg is the pos in a plastic shell. the s&w is ok.
What books are you boys reading?
Anyone read Way of Men?
>>33640291
I read a bit of it. Not bad, he grasps for straws a bit for his idealistic romantic masculinity but in general is a decent read
Next up are The Jungle is Neutral and Congo Mercenary, both of which were recommended by /k/omrades in previous threads.
I'm looking for a milsurp rifle.
My choice are between a mosin, a m48 and a k11/k31 schmidt.
Which one is the best ?
note : 7,5x55 surplus is widely available in my country
>>33640238
They're all pretty equal. K31 has a great trigger though.
>>33640244
K31 are great but K11 are pretty cheap around 290 euros.
>>33640244
You are comparing k31 to mosin and m48? I know you are a trip but that's just fucking insane.
Also op how much is 7.55 in France?

SLR104FR in factory furniture with sling

OD Drago bag
400 rounds of silver bear
Ammo can

Thing was basically new when I got it
>Walther P1

>M1 Garand
$650
There's not a gun I own that isn't worth more than what I paid, but those are the highlights.

no, that's a a houthi weapons depot being blown up by Saudi fighter in Yemen. It happened last year.
I got these in a hippy dippy store, aren't these those knives that were "used in the ritualistic slaughter of goats, and other warm blooded mammals"? Wasn't that an old meme? Tranchete, I think.
Those are gardening billhooks
>>33639931

>>33639956
>billhook ≠billhook
there isn't a proper term for those in English, but it is still a billhook, not a big one forestry, but for gardening

Name a downside.

I hate the trigger but that's just a personal preference. I still shot good groups with it, and it seemed like a fine gun. Some Atlanta police departments are issued the big version and my buddy ankle carried pic related as a backup.
>>33639841
It's an M&P Shield
>>33639841
The slide stop/release is kinda hard to use, but it's still a good gat.

Bootcamp: Had a friend put a stick of big red in a letter once. That was nice. Had my dad send me White Dwarf magazines to read on Sundays.
Deployed.: SOOOOOOOOCKSSSSSS!. I asked for socks once and a church group sent me and my friends like 100 pair. I was wearing them once and then throwing them out at one point. So comfy.
Cigarretes. Nice if you smoke, I guess.
Those little sugar-free drink mix tubes for water bottles.
My Mom somehow got the impression the seasons were reversed in Iraq and sent me hot-hands pocket warmers in July.
A rice cooker and a bunch of Knorr pasta and rice sides.
Snacks. Just lots of rice-crispy treats, candy, and nutrigrain bar/granola things.
Cinnamon bears. I said I liked them once and everyone in my family bulk bought them at BigLots. I still like em.

>My Mom somehow got the impression the seasons were reversed in Iraq and sent me hot-hands pocket warmers in July.
holy shit that sounds exactly like something my mom would do
I'm planning on buying my first bolt-action in .308. I pretty much only plan to shoot it at the range or at steel targets on BLM land. Around 100-300 yards. Maybe 500 max. It's only my second gun, I currently own one revolver. I live in California and bolt actions have the least restrictions. 4chan thinks my post is spam so I can't paste links to everything
Here are the parts I plan on buying:
>$470 Howa 1500 barreled action 24" in .308 threaded and blued
http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/receivers/barreled-receivers/barreled-action-var-hvy-blue-308-24-6-threaded-sku100023948-103532-198907.aspx
>$400 MDT LSS chassis for the Howa 1500 short action
http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-parts/rifle-stocks/howa-1500-lss-chassis-short-action-black-sku100019730-85245-181161.aspx
>$64 Claymore muzzle brake. To direct concussion forward, I don't care for recoil compensation.
>$57 AR15 CTR stock. I might buy a cheek riser for it later.
>$22 Hogue grips
>$43 0 MOA scope rail for the Howa 1500
>$368 Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm scope ($265), plus the mounting rings ($22) and a pair of flip covers ($81)
>I have an atlas bipod from my friend who no longer needs it.
Is there anything else I should buy or any parts I should change?
I've heard that the Howa 1500 can't take 10 round steel aics mags because of an extra bit of metal on the receiver. Are there any steel 10 round mags that are compatible with it, or can I file away a bit of the mags and make them fit? There's a guide online that shows you how to file away bits of the receiver to make them fit, but I'd rather not do that.
I should also mention that I plan on taking up reloading eventually, but not anytime soon.
Bumping because i too am in your position wanting a pretty decent bolt action in either .308 or 5.56.
Ive been looking at the howa as well but was wondering if there was maybe a 16" model for running around in the bush with. The claymore sounds like a good idea. Might i throw in a suggestion. Get a folding stock piece to make it easier for transport. Just a suggestion
>>33638597
Yeah I might get a folding stock adapter, depends how unwieldy a case feels once I actually get my hands on it. If I were going hunting I would definitely go for it, but I live in an urban area so bringing it into the woods isn't really an option.
>>33638652
Ahh i see. kinda makes me sad that the .308 or .223 versions wont shoot the nato loadings.
around here in southern Appalachia its hills and mtns with very few areas to get a shot thats 400 yrds or more without dense as fuck tree cover.
Other things that are on my lists is having decent buis on the rifle. Always loved my no.4 mk1 siggts but would like something in the .308 or .223 range
Excuse me for this faggy question.
But is there any real life equivalent to someone like Solid Snake/Big Boss? Of course there are multiple special forces, but is a person like this even possible to exist in real life? Without the cloning, genetic diseases and video games physics etc
No, and if there were you can be damn sure it'd be covered up in red tape thick enough to build a bridge out of.
Reality defies simple answers, there is no one man army behind the scenes of any given military conflict or era
>>33638377
No.
>>33638377
No. There is not some government super soldier that brought down the russians in afghanistan, Rhodesians in Africa, A giant mechanical doomsday t rex, built his own base in the ocean, then got some more mechanical t rexs, and did stuff in Zanzibar.
How many medals have you got /k/
>>33638339
A handful

Just end it.
Just one because I wasn't in a military that gave out medals for everything.
