Are anti infantry missiles a thing?
>>33642761
i think the apache has missiles that cluster basically hundreds of hand grenades at a few miles distance to fuck infantry and mechanized infantry shit up.
>>33643093
>i think the apache has missiles that cluster basically hundreds of hand grenades at a few miles distance to fuck infantry and mechanized infantry shit up.
It doesn't.
This is the closest thing to "hundreds of hand grenades"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JP233
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MW-1
To answer OP, any missle with appropriate guidance and warheads can be anti infantry.
>>33643093
No, it doesn't. Fuck off, you don't know shit. If you can link to the thing in question, you can actually talk about it. Until then, you need to shut up and learn.
I'll start with an easy one
The Red Army
v
Randall's Grocer
>>33642732
What country is the grocery in?
>>33642751
look at the flags
>>33642756
The grocery wins
The red army cant touch US soil
Buying my first firearm, any tips/advice? Just looking for something thats good for home defense and SHTF and stuff. Cheap ammo is a plus too. Im thinking pic related, keep in mind im on a budget so dont suggest any top of the line pricey shit please.
First? You'll be invested more later so if you're on a budget I would say go for that plinkster, ammo and lastly a few magazines. Have fun anon, soon you'll want something bigger and better with more umph to sate your appetite.
>>33642724
I would, instead, buy a 10/22, there is a lot more aftermarket accessories and parts for it. It is only about $100 more, at most, and there are a lot more options should you want to add stuff to it.
If you take care of it, it will probably outlive you.
>>33642824
No. Any rifle you get if taken care of will outlive you, the only thing 10/22s have going for them is their after market. I would rather a marlin 795 but for 150 after tax that plinkster is OPs best bet.
Unless you plan on spending more time and money on accessories than you do shooting, do not get the 10/22.
What song is the 'It Ain't Me' of the Global War on Terror era? I always think of 'Teegage Dirtbag' because of Generation Kill.
https://youtu.be/FC3y9llDXuM
>>33642631
>haha I watched Genreation Kill too
Probably Limp Bizkit, Korn, Disturbed, any metal song that was popular at the time.
>>33642631
Probably some edgy metal.
>>33642669
literally this
All my seniors who went to fallujah tell me the psy op fags blasted metallica, ACDC, Iron Maiden and other early 00 metal none stop to fuck with the hajis
>Can't buy or own a shotgun or rifle without a license
>Shit you did as a minor counts for questions on your application
>Waiting 2 months to receive your license
>Neighbor asking why you would need anything that isn't for hunting
>Lots of brands banned by name for no reason so worried to buy anything off gunbroker
>Tavor is legal but AR15 isn't
>Friend refusing to be a reference on your application because "Not everyone should own a gun"
>Can only hunt deer with shotguns
>So many fucking deer that you see herds at the end of your street every sunset and they're constantly spreading lyme.
>Can't even own a musket with ammo without a License, can only own a musket without any ammo as ammo makes it a firearm, which you need an FID or LTC to own period.
>FUCKING TWO SHOT DERRINGERS AND CERTAIN BLACK POWDER REVOLVERS ARE ILLEGAL BECAUSE OF SOME HORSE SHIT WITH THE SAFETY/MANUFACTURERS
>tfw also no-gunz massfag
Are we a cucked state?
>>33642621
>tfw reading this shit as a Commiefornian
Maybe we don't have it so bad after all
This is making MD actually look like a free state.
lol /k/
>"i won't carry a .45 because muh capaciteh"
>"revolvers ftw tho, i'd totally carry a tree fiddy seven"
>>33642607
Revolvers can be smaller than most 7-8 round .45s
>>33642607
>/k/ is one person
its not like the round you carry really matters
>>33642607
That actually makes sense though. .45 isn't any more powerful than 9mm, so you don't get any stopping power advantage. In that case, you might as well go for a higher capacity gun, the 9mm. But the .357 is actually more powerful and thus the lower capacity is justifiable.
Hypothetically, if the US ever started drafting again, should people with STEM degrees/ in school for STEM degrees be exempt?
>inb4 draft dodging communist
Nope, I was just toying with the idea last night and was wondering what your opinion was.
>>33642550
Nope, the Military will always need those skills, just be thankful you will likely be an Officer rather than a conscript PFC.
>>33642577
/thread
>>33642550
>in school for STEM degrees be exempt?
You can't get drafted from school you dumb STEM elitist.
>Be me
>Privileges white american
>Didn't support iraq/afghan war
>Believed it was for Oil and resources and lies
>Actually met an Iraqi who lived there most of his life but immigrated to the US 5 years ago
>Took him four years to learn english well and this guy is living the american dream
He wanted to talk about his experience living there from early 2000s to 2010 etc.. and he has the most positive view of the american military I was shocked at the things he was saying
This guy believes the US in Iraq helped get rid of Saddam and his regime from power at a time when they really needed it. This guy also blames his own people for everything and doesn't think Americans did anything wrong in iraq
>>33642535
your haji friend is right.
What a great blogpost
Over half of the Iraqi people agree with him.
Doesn't necessarily make it right, but it does say something about the effects of the war.
Is Escape From Tarkov /k/ approved?
>>33642494
>is a $60+ early access pre-alpha with an NDA /k/ approved?
literally nobody knows or wants to spend that money til someone knows
>>33642521
I thought the NDA was lifted?
>>33642529
It was. Videos are kinda cool, but there's not much to do right now by the looks of it. Seems like it'll either be a pretty good game or just mind numingly boring.
why does /k/ hate on alien gear? got one as a gift and not sure what to expect.
Because there's better holster makers that actually have merit to their products other than a warranty.
That also include a warranty. And as far as I'm concerned, there's more people that like Aliengear more than people who dislike them on /k/. It's babby's first holster because wait times are for idiots and they have never seen the quality of a more expensive holster so they think Aliengear is good. Then with their limited knowledge, they push it onto someone who is interested in getting their first holster and the cycle continued.
>JM Custom
>Custom Carry Concepts
>Darkstar Gear
>Keeper's Concealment
>Raven Concealment
all make holsters that shit all over Aliengear.
>>33642385
>It's babby's first holster because wait times are for idiots and they have never seen the quality of a more expensive holster so they think Aliengear is good
Yep, this.
Also add KSG Armory and G-Code to the list.
>>33642385
No other post is needed. God job.
What's the point of divers putting on face camo? When they dived, wouldn't the camo wash off?
>>33642040
It's wax/petroleum based. So, no.
is that an XM8?
>>33642040
The real question is how did they keep that xm8 from swimming away?
Is a preemptive strike against The DPRK a viable option at this point? If they don't have full nuclear capabilities now, what's to say they won't have them 10 years from now?
They already have them. No point in attacking them.
>US has hundreds of nukes
>Nobody cares
>North Korea makes one
>Entire world gets upset
North Korea never attacked a country, the US attacked tons. This is why the world hates you guys.
>>33641998
>North Korea never attacked a country
Because who could they attack ? Weakness is not a virtue by itself
/RangeTimeGeneral/ ??
RTG thread, git in here, comment on your range performance.
I have a problem where I can't pull the trigger slowly. With my Glock brand Glock 17 I hold the trigger back after a pull, and release to the reset--only to quickly jerk it again without taking time to get a better aim.
Wasted 5 rounds in a row shooting at a small steel target with the same sight picture each time, no change, no hits.
pls help
Bad time of the day to start a thread about actual shooting, you will see a slight increase in posters in the evening.
If you are interested in shooting you should check in with us in DOTM once in a while: >>33570014
Best bet to get you not to slap the reset is the ball and dummy drill https://pistol-training.com/drills/ball-dummy-drill
Although it's worth noting that if you are doing timed or rapid fire shooting you should expect to exert counterforce timed with the ignition of the gasses.
Dry fire in general will do a lot to help you mitigate unwanted movement in the gun when repping the trigger.
>>33641926
>slap *after* the reset
>>33641926
okie, I have done a similar drill before.
the

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>33641883
You do know what close air support means, right? Close in relation to friendly forces on the ground, not flying close to the ground.
>>33641893
Hurr Durr I'm fucking retarded
>>33641912
We kinda guessed that
Why are ARs (Assault Rifles) so easy to obtain in the USA? They are basically military-grade weapons.
>>33641807
a populace is free only if it is as well armed as the law enforcers
>>33641807
Why are they so hard to obtain here in Europe? They are basically hunting rifles.
>>33641807
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
>Militia
>Arms
Because the constitution explicitly states "The people should be permitted to form their own militias to defend themselves and their rights, and must be permitted access to the weapons militias would use".
