It's not the barrel length so much as it's that bullpups have major ergonomic issues, poor performance at longer ranges, shitty iron sights and both the controls and trigger are linked (ie. instead of pulling a trigger and releasing the hammer/striker you pull the trigger and it moves another piece of metal which moves another piece of metal that moves ANOTHER piece of metal that releases the hammer/striker - this dramatically worsens the activity of the trigger). Pretty much the only advantage - at all - that bullpups offer over conventional configurations is a reduced OAL for the same barrel length, but why reinvent the wheel?
