You need to stop this obsession man.
>>>/int/
I'm generally sympathetic to the whole Rhodesia thing, but these incessant Rhodieboo threads have really gotten out of hand these last few months.
I'm actually Rhodesian and holy shit fuck off the country was never that great
Hi,/k/.
Not an weapon person so please ,no bully.
Dumb question.
Is pic 1&2 joke or a real thing, I guess if it is a thing, its probably like last resort kind of thing with really low% of success!?
This is totally for academicals of entertainment etc..
>>33737392
And OP here with pic2,but I guess you know what I'm asking.
>>33737392
It's real, yes. Though what exactly you mean by it is uncertain. By grabbing and holding onto the slide while the gun is fired, you can stop it from cycling correctly and firing again.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVtXPIjM3jQ
>>33737456
This
You can hold the slide with two fingers and stop the gun from cycling correctly
Furthermore: it is possible to activate the disconnecter by pushing the slide about two mm back. This disabels the firing mechanism in many guns.
I'm gonna buy my first gun soon, and I've narrowed it down to a CZ-75 P-01 Compact Omega and a Glock 19.
I've only gotten to shoot the G19, and I'm not sure if my range has a that CZ to rent.
What're your thoughts on each? Why should I get one over the other?
>>33737346
glock if you plan to ccw. p01 for range toy. though if you really wanted a range toy a sp01 is better.
>>33737356
There's no reason a Glock 19 is better to carry than a P-01.
>>33737356
I don't plan on CCW. But what makes a CZ worse than a Glock for CCW?
Drop the caliber to 6mm or 6.5mm and drop the bullet weight to 6g or 7g. Keep the overall length the same and all that.
Only thing that has to be changed for the rifles is the barrel and boom you've got a cartridge that recoils 3/4 of the amount that 7.62x51 recoils, has a flatter trajectory, and is lighter than the 7.62x51 while still delivering the same amount of power.
I'm a genius right? Where can i collect my prize money?
>measuring bullet weight in g
Not even eurofags do this. What are you?
>needing to reduce recoil
What are you, some kind of fucking shoulderlet?
Eat more fag
I can't tell why, but for some reason Momma Earth's atmosphere has always loved 6.5 mm bullets.
So almost 3 weeks after the strike the Russians finally admit that not a single Tomahawk was actually shot down.

Whats up with the grid pattern of tracks between the runways/taxiways? Lawnmower tracks?
Can someone who knows something about ballistics explain to me wtf actually happened in this video

>>33737023

Real niggaz clearly have trigger discipline.
>>33737033
Maybe it's the dried blood of his enemies?
The only range I have access to is a 25 meter range allowing handgun calibers. They allow both short and long guns though. Would it be a waste of time taking a .357 or .44 Mag rifle or carbine to such a short range?
>>33736972
if you already had the gun and nothing better to do yeah go shoot. you could have fun at 25. if you were going to purchase a rifle specifically to go shoot at this 25 yard range ehhh. just spend an hour or more driving somewhere else.
>>33737017
What this guy said. If it's already lying around, it's pistol caliber so why not?
Otherwise, if you really wanna buy a new one, I unironically love my HiPoint 995
>>33737017
>just spend an hour or more driving somewhere else.
Unfortunately, that's not an option currently
China's new carrier Shendong.
Building started in September 2016
Launch will happen in the next days
Ship commissioning somewhen in 2018
So China is capable of building an improved Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier in a 3 years timeframe.
Meanwhile the larger and more capable Ford class takes between 7-9 years.
Are we seeing a diminishing return in carrier building? China will be able to build 2-3 Shendongs for one Ford-class carrier.
>ramp
>>33736815
>Paper """carrier"""
>Actually floating
But really a Carrier is nothing without its Carrier Group - does China do that well? God bless.
What went wrong? What went right?
>What went wrong?
Heavy as fuck
Drums were shit
Expensive

Once the issues had been ironed out with the M1 and M1A1, it was a fine weapon. In all practical terms the grease gun was better though
While the original 1928 was a horrible soldiers weapon, the "auto-rifle" concept that Thompson was trying to achieve with it was quite prescient
>>33736701
>What went right
That atheistic
The weight make it more stable
Foregrip
Shoots fast as fuck
>What went wrong
Timely to manufacture
Mags have to slide through a weird rail(Not as simple as a pistol mag)

it looks badass
This summer I am being tasked with delivering a car to Washington state from Florida for a relative. I live in Florida so after the drive, I will be flying back.
Now my concern is that i wanted to CC while crossing the states and Washington is the only state that doesnt honor my CC. That being said, how would be the best way to either A) get my firearm back home or B)destroy my firearm. I was considering going and getting an old .38 for cheap from the flea market or pawn shop and then when i get to Washington, buying a grinder and cutting it up or something. However, I have read that airlines can be a Total Hassle to deal with, but I would consider them if it meant I could bring a firearm that I prefer over some SNS. Have any anons flown with a gun? Can someone help me with advice?
>>33736632
Just buy a hard sided pistol case that can lock and put it into your checked bag on the way home. That's what I do and I fly back and forth to Florida with guns all the time. It only costs like 15 bucks for a cheap hard sided pistol case.
>>33736692
What airline do you typically fly with though? I hear theyre all different
>>33736692
Here's a better idea: just take a train instead.
What is the current state of Western volunteers going to fight alongside the Kurds or Assyrians? There doesn't seem to be much in the press these days about it.
Has anyone in /k/ ventured?
>fighting alongside k*rds and ass-of-syrians
no
also, you won't even see any real combat since they don't like foreign fighters dying for them, it hurts their reputation/propaganda
>>33736629
>volunteers
They are called military advisors and basically are leading the troops.
>>33736783
retard
dont talk about stuff you know nothing about, plenty of foreigners have died in "real combat"
Looking to get a nice smg to pair with my M1a EBR. I would prefer something a little smaller and more portable/mobile but I'm open to whatever.
Any suggestions?
Depends what game.
