I'm not sure how often /k/ checks Palmetto State Armory's website, but they have a deal going on right now for a PSA AR-15 with full MOE furniture AND a Springfield XDS with the Extra Gear Package all for $799. I ordered it a week and a half ago and picked it up today. Very satisfied.

Probably, but get a guarantee that you can return it if your gas port is damaged from corrosive ammo.
They have a gas shut-off valve there, and if not cleaned, it can cause your gun to be single shot.

I'm trying to figure out what the metal bit on the scabbard of a jian sword is called. Figure out why it's there. Most people say you put a belt through it, but it seems to me this would loosen the wrap that keeps it attached to the scabbard. Some people tell me that unlike samurai, Chinese warlords did not have their swords on a belt, but carried it. If I could find the name of the piece maybe I could dispel my confusion. Or maybe there are people here who know for sure if and how it would be worn.

Hello fellow /k/ommandos. Lately we’ve had several Manurhin threads.
Excellent finish, really nice, accurate, may be Best Revolver blah blah. Etc..
But how accurate are they really?
We’ve seen the pictures of the GIGN guys with their scoped Manurhins with bipods. Is this really worthwhile? The proof is in the pudding I guess.

A 6 inch Manurhin MR73, with the barrel factory drilled for scope mounting.
A rail CNC machined by my local gunsmith.
Warne 1 inch permanent scope rings.

Due to lack of ammo, only this was shot:
.357 magnum 158 grain FMJ, Sellier & Bellot, ten shot groups
Range: 100 meters, indoor range, with a sandbag as a rest. No Ransom Rest.
Result: Last and best group of the day: 5 inch at 100 meters.
