Why is 9mm considered useless? I know its more deadlier than a lot of rounds out there, but since when did 9mm of all things become the primary target? Why not the 38 special or something?
Why do /k/ommandos hate 9mm so much? Ballistics don't seem to show that its impact is worse than 45...
redpill me on why 9mm is the butt of all /k/ jokes
its not, its pretty damn good
BUT
it dose not have secret powers like a certain other type of caliber, ima spill the beans and blow the lid off a huge secret.
>.22lr is the best round in the world
The real answer to this question would belong on /pol/.
>>33900372
the 9mm vs .45 fight goes back decades
>ww2-vietnam era GIs swear by their 1911s
>get pissed when they are phased out for 9mm berettas
>at that time, cops had started switching from service revolvers to automatics
>the miami shootout fueled the debate
>the .40 is born
9mm has come a long way, but for a while it was pretty weak, like most pistol rounds. Its biggest advantage was it had capacity
What's the cheapest firearm and or knife you own, /k/?
Richfags need not apply
Mossberg 185D. 20 gauge bolt action. Bought it for 40 bucks.
you realize a thread died for this, right?

Let's have the /ak/ fuckers go back to /a/ too while we're at it then, aye?
Should I carry with a round in the chamber? I know that doing so will let me shoot faster, but I'm worried it could go off and hit an major artery in my thigh, and if that happens I'm fucked.
>>33899797
If that happens it's natural selection. I advise everyone carries one in the chamber aiwb because if you can't handle that hopefully you die before you reproduce.
>>33899797
Don't carry appendix like some try hard and it'll only hit your foot if you carry 3 o clock on the waist.
In all seriousness, with a quality firearm and good holster carrying with a loaded chamber is good to go.
Depends on your lifestyle/need. Do you live a life where you'll need that weapon the very instant it comes out of the holster?

>The Navy’s decision to slow down its LCS frigate program is “reassuring,” the chairman of the House seapower subcommittee said yesterday evening. Delaying contract award from 2019 to 2020 gives the service more time to do “due diligence” on the designs, Rep. Rob Wittman told reporters after a hearing on the Littoral Combat Ship.
>The extra time not only reduces the risk of mistakes that would require costly rework, Wittman went on: It also gives the Navy and the shipyards to fully explore options such as heavier armament — potentially including heavy-duty Vertical Launch System missile tubes. While there are other launchers, VLS accommodates not only the Navy’s largest missiles but also the widest variety of weapons, from anti-aircraft to anti-submarine, from missile defense to land attack.
>Distributed Lethality envisions LCS — and indeed every vessel from aircraft carriers to cargo ships — as armed nodes in a fleet-wide network. Under DL, a ship should be able to take targeting data from aircraft, satellites, and other ships in order to strike targets its own radar cannot see. That kind of high-tech, high-intensity battle is considerably more complex and lethal than the auxiliary roles for which the original LCS was built: hunting submarines, clearing mines, and defeating fast attack boats.

LCS frigate = bad
anything else = good

If F-35 chan can pull off the whole distributed lethality thing then maybe this piece of shit can do it too one day!

Lately in my city there has been an outbreak of machete-wielding thugs robbing and attacking people, due to how hard methamphetamine is hitting the city. Since last Monday, there have been 10 reported cases of people either being threatened or attacked with machetes. So I'm wondering, what is the best defense against these types of slashing weapons? It's bullshit that one can't even walk to the convenience store without the threat of being attacked with a machete. What type of homemade shield would work? Or any YouTube channels you guys might refer me to? Thanks

If American get gun.
If not, that's just what life is like for you
>>33899279
Where are you, Lon Gisland?
>>33899279
Gun.
How big of a meme is the Desert Eagle in .50AE?
I'm thinking of getting one
>>33899185
It's a good hunting/sporting pistol.
Fun range toy. Expensive-ish to feed, but if you can afford it, you can afford to run it usually.
Take good care of it and you'll have a fine gat indeed.
>>33899212
>>33899193
So it's not an ''absolute shit, why did you buy this POS abomination'' gun?
Because I would only use it as a range toy from time to time,so the Fun factor is the most important part to me
>Slavaboos and poorfags will defend this
>>33898467
It's a cheap piece of shit, and ammo costs too much now.
I don't own a nugget, but if it gets more newfriends/poorfriends shooting, I would call it a good gun in spite of it's operational flaws
>>33898467
Defend that it exists? I mean. It served the victors of a pretty serious war...

That's not the point, You moron.
It simply depicts m-lok rail
>>33897673
Why is SOCOM so fucking dumb?
>14.5 with mid length gas.
WHY carbine is fine, it's worked for 60+ years.
>Full length rail.
WHY? it's just added weight.
If SOCOM was smart, they run bullpups with 18" to 20" barrels, use HK32's for spooky shit and use 10mm as their handgun.
