I tried one of those 20 rounder rem700 mags in my M14. It fits, but can only cycle 15 rounds somewhat reliably before the follower binds.

Is this legit, /k/?

if it is, then why isn't the military using full-colored NVGs?

Because thermal overlay is more important and we are busy changing over to that in the form of the PSQ-20.
>>
>>33957329
PSQ-20 is garbage
>>
>>33957349
Got asked why, I answered.
That said
, The A version really messed up the battery case. The first version had a way better mount for the case, and the case itself didn't do that cool tactical dismount as readily. My unit got a few of the first ones and I was very sad to see them go and get replaced with the 20a.

greetings to you. I was at cabbellas yesterday. Got pic related for $235 in .308 win.

The bolt felt like pure sex -- but here's the thing, it doesn't headspace. It'll cycle snapcaps fine, but the bolt will barely close on real rounds.

Clearly, i got a lemon. I've read about the way these guns are made, with the nut that holds the barrel in the correctly place.
> my question:
> can i send it? clearly, it's a lemon.
> if i can't send it in, do you think i could just readjust the headspace?

But the bolt does close on a real round ... what makes you thibk the head space is off then?.

Have you fired it?

Are you being to gingerly with the bolt?
>>
>>33957022
no ginger here at all. I haven't fired it yet, but it's stiff on SA surplus, PPU and brass-cased monarch.

It just doesn't feel right. Also it's shaving brass off the cartridge lip.
>>
>>33957010
just beat it open and closed on a round a few times and maybe it will loosen up

Thread from yesterday
>33952158
I know that when aircraft carriers first started to become a thing, there were arguments between admirals who favoured carriers, and older admirals who thought that battleships were still going to be the primary capital ships.
My question is, what arguments were there in favour of battleships over carriers?
It seems kind of obvious that a ship capable of carrying torpedo bombers is going to BTFO everything else, especially large, slow targets that cannot really dodge torpedoes.
What sort of arguments were used against carriers?

I said if the thread was still going I would post some pages from a book written by Vice Admiral J.E.T Harper in 1941, during ww2 entitled
>The Royal Navy at War

>You are in charge of weapons design for a survival horror game
>your boss gives you the direction, no semi auto (revolvers are fine), they don't want the player to have to deal with getting new magazines and want all bullets found to be loose or in boxes.
>player characters can only store bullets in holsters, bandoleers, pockets, or back packs
>no limit to how many guns can be carried at a given time, but they must have some way to carry them IE holster, pocket, or sling. And all weight is counted for encumbrance

What weapons do you include and what year do you set the game?

OK how about this. If you want to include a magazine system (or clips for the garand). How do you implement a system that realistically uses detachable mags and clips?
IE no I picked up a box of bullets so suddenly I have a full clip.
