FINALLY, got the rest of the ammo I bought with my Mle 1936. This is some interesting repacked ammo. The guys on gunboards think it was repacked by an importer, but I have some doubts. It's interesting nonetheless. I've seen some 1940, 1946, and 1948 dated cases on the few I pulled out of the tears in the packaging.

What do you think of the claim that in WWII only 15 to 20 percent of (American) soldiers who faced frontline combat actually fired their weapons (As claimed in Dave Grossman's book, On Killing)
I find it somewhat hard to believe.
If you're in a foxhole and a regiment of Japs are rushing your position in a banzi and you're the only fucker in your squad of five firing, I think you'd be pretty fucking pissed and do whatever it took to get your comrades to join you in saving your own lives.

A military police captain that said the book was golden.
