So my BA freefloat 16" AR barrel is stupid out of accuracy. It shoots excellent groups (2-3 inches at 100 yards) I've maxed out the elevation and the the windage, but I just can't get the fucker to fire dead on.
Could my barrel be perhaps not seated correctly or it might have been somehow bent?
That is not my rifle- just a picture for emphasis.
>>35052960
FYI 2-3 inches at 100 yards from an ar-15 is miserable accuracy. I'm going to guess you have either a super worn barrel or something is wrong with the barrel.
Even mil spec ar can shoot 1-1.5 inch groups at 100
>>35053012
2-3 inch group at 100 is within milspec
most ars will shoot better groups but what hes getting isnt unexpected.
OP check your scope mounts. are you sure you have a real scope not some amazon pos?
so realistically how hard is it to order a 20+ round mag online and have it shipped continental to a country where theyre not allowed?
>>35052819
basically impossible
Order it and have it sent to an accomplice. Accomplice guts a radio and put mag in there, then sends you the radio. You maybe pay imports on a radio.

In parts.

Crazy weapon attachments thread

I actually have one of those scopes, it's a heavy old bitch and it makes a more than a little spooky whine when it's powered up but it's neat. An AN/PVS-1 Starlight scope, mine came straight from SAC where it lived it's life staring at coyotes humpin' in the darkness.
I'd say my favorite weird attachment had to the M16 RAW, a rocket propelled demolition charge that looked like a damn bowling ball. Never adopted but they dicked around with it. The 1960's-70's had some damn weird stuff cobbled together, shit like the Childer's SOW and Gordon CSWS, the Remington 7188 and China Lake 40mm. All the way to the SPIW program which was like a proto-OICW.
are the SAS/SBS deserving of their borderline mythical status?
They haven't fought a top tier opponent in 70 years. The Iraqis kicked their ass in the 90s
ask this dog about them
>>35052106
wat.
they've been in all the same fights we have.
SBS were heavily involved in afghanistan, and still are. SAS were the spearhead of Task Force Black in Iraq.
The subject of today's round of Kim Jong Un Looking At Things is this metal canister, that North Korea says is a Hydrogen Bomb designed to fit in an ICBM. It looks something like the shape of a staged nuclear weapon, but authenticity probably won't be verified without a test.
And one more for posterity.

Clinton should have taken out North Korea in the 1990s. Since he didn't, George Bush should have done it instead of dicking around in Iraq.

We wont be waiting long.
I recently acquired a rifle that fires 5.56 nato/.223. Where does /k/ buy bulk ammo and reasonable pmags? What's the difference, if any, between the rounds?
T. Former no guns
>>35051935
They're the same dimensions essentially. The only difference is that 5.56 is a higher load than the .223. You can shoot a .223 out of a 5.56 barrel, but not a 5.56 out of a .223 barrel
http://www.gunbot.net/
This or your local gun store, depending on which is cheaper.
556 are generally hotter, if you have a 556 gun don't worry about the difference too much. You can google why you never use 556 in a 223 marked gun, I'm too lazy to explain, and I forgot most of it other than throat size differences.

Theres your problem right there. It was made by japs.
Houston resident here, I came home recently to find that my guns have a layer of rust from the humidity because my power went out so there was no AC.
How worried should I be about the inside of the barrels rusting and affecting the accuracy?
Depends on a multitude of factors; whats the coating in the barrel? Who made the gun? More importantly, why keep a rusty receiver?
Start by spraying WD-40 on and in the guns then wiping off. follow that with axel grease, lots of axel grease everywhere!
>>35051713
>>35051737
this. What kind of AK is that? You dont have any CLP on hand? Motor oil?
What went wrong?
>>35051693
Wonder if it'd be possible to cut the barrel back without fucking it all up.

It's not bad, just can be finicky with certain rounds and the mag springs can lose tension after a while
