So apparently there has been taken an initiative to start a militia in Norway. It's called "VON" or Vern om Norge", pretty much means protection of Norway. Initiative was taken because people are recognizing that shit will not always not stink here, and one day the shit might hit the fan and our military isn't ready for that.
Someone published a PDF detailing how to set up a group and its roles and stuff. Here's a few of the things I found interesting about it:
>targeted at exmils and hunters
>pretty flat group structure, based on individual cells who report to noone
>cells are all to be cold with none to minimal amounts of training, thus only experienced people are wanted but anyone can create one really
>no communication whatsoever over electronic communications, TIGHT OPSEC is key
>cells are to be activated in SHTF situations, such as terror attacks, large natural disasters, accidents with nukes or whatnot, stopping of pre-invasion saboteurs when it becomes obvious S is about to HTF, and in case of all out invasion.
>Predicted role is mainly roadblocks and guarding of vital targets, intelligence gathering, and when shit really hits the fan full on guerrilla warfare if possible/desired by the participating parts
I think the most important point that was brought up in the text, was how important a roadblock on the E6 motorway between Oslo and Sandvika could have been on July 22'nd 2011. A lot of kids lives could have been saved if there was a local group with quick reaction time and high knowledge of the local area that day. History would have been different.

By the organizational structure laid out in the PDF that seems unlikely, unless PST (Norways FBI sort of) has *a lot* of resources to throw around on HUMINT I don't see how they could possibly find out about these groups.
How OPSEC is laid out according to the PDF:

What is your budget, and what is your specific purpose? If its just costume, you can get a nice repro in 16g mild steel. If you want combat weight for ACL/SCA etc, then you'll be looking at a good deal more.
