Really looking for a great shotgun for home defense, hunting, ect. I'm very attracted to the Remington 870. Any input on better shotties? Budget is around 500. Also, shotgun general thread.

Hey /k/unts, I was hoping you could give me some advice on how best to achieve my career goals. I'm wanting to be a firearms instructor. Not just as a side gig to make some extra cash, but as a primary source of income. I feel like I've got a decent plan, but could use some advice.
I'm currently an 11B stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. I get out close to 2020, and in that time I plan on getting as much chest candy and training courses in as possible. Figure the more shit I do while I'm in the better I look as an instructor. I also plan on taking advantage of all of the (very limited) private training options available on this island, and going ahead to start teaching some classes myself. I'm certified as an NRA pistol instructor, so I have done credentials to back me up. I was thinking of even starting a YouTube channel giving training tips and shit. I know it's not exactly original, but anything to build a bit of a name for myself.
After I get out, I plan on moving to a much more gun friendly area and getting a job as an LEO. Want to also buy a small plot of land to build my own range to teach on.
In addition, my uncle and cousin are big name sports trainers, that have trained hundreds of pros. When I get close to ending my service, I plan on talking to them about a possible business team up.
So, what are your thoughts? How can I improve on my plan? What would be some good states look into moving when I ETS?

well the main problem would be the actual legs
they would have to be insanely strong to take on simple rpg hits, up to high caliber weapons, or have a skirt of reactive armor around them
otherwise, they'd be sitting ducks after the legs get shot off or blown up by a landmine
plus, they'd have to be really powerful to carry all the armor, weaponry and possibly a pilot onboard, unless they're unmanned drones
still, i don't think they're feasible yet

I enjoy my USP40c and USP9c both equally. They don't have the same recoil impulse, but the .40 feels normal and the 9 feels soft to me. The Sig P239 is another pistol that feels great in .40, although it's hard to justify the weight for carry.

And close in dogfight missiles have gotten much better, capable of engaging targets at any angle, more consistent, more lethal warheads, better range/higher delta V.
BVR might be unviable but modern air combat would not look like a WW2/Korean dogfight.

So fellow autists i have an idea.
You know how those BM-59's cost a shitload to some. Well what if we took the FSB and spigot off a Yugo SKS with bayo or no bayo lug and pin it to a Mini -14 or 30 barrel. I think itd look pretty different and or awesome. Plus the fsb would be adjustable and able to be changed for different sight posts. Also if done correctly you can have the bayo on it as well or make a bayo lug for your standard M9 or AK bayo (glorious). They also make adjustable gas blocks for mini's so im wondering if the mini series would handle rifle grenade launching with minimal gas.

How do we survive a terrorist attack? Literally a terrorist uprising with people going door to door and killing civilians and barricading themselves inside towns.
Give links on how best to prepare for a terrorist attack and how to behave during the attack.
Extra points for doing this without needing guns or anything my government doesn't trust me to own.
My budget is $20 a week towards survival gear.
What i have to survive with so far:
>Two 9" chefs knifes (1 carbon steel, 1 Damascus)
>Two 3.5" chefs knifes (1 carbon,1 Damascus)
>18L brown Backpack
>Spray paint with a needle cap (Squirts 1.5m, use it like mace)
>Street wear running shoes and boots
>Dark blue jeans and leather jacket
So i know it's not alot but that's all i have towards surviving, most other people would have the same.
Any advice/weapon suggestions/tactics/youtube videos would be a big help.
