I'm very interested in weapons but I can barely pay rent and car insurance with my current income. How do I get/make a weapon with like 10 dollars and shit laying around the house?

It's one of those things were an observant group sees a distressed group so they ask you to donate some info to pass along.
/k/ says fuck off because that's what happened when /k/ needed help only to be left in agony by its bros.
You created this monster not me.
>>34153712
stop paying for car insurance
Ok /k/, /frenchfag/ here
I dont own any guns because of my country's law but I was wondering something that I thought only /k/ could answer :
A couple days back, one of my friend told me he went to LA and shot some guns in a shooting range and he was like
>"there are very strict rules, if you turn around with the gun in your hand you can get shot and it'll be self defense" and shit like that
So I wanted to know if this was true ? If I go at a shooting range, shoot a gun, then turn around while it's still loaded, could I get in trouble/even get shot by others users ?
>>34153706
Probably. So don't do it. You're all square.
>>34153711
Like even If I just turn around to talk to my buddy behind me ? While posing from little to no threat, not raising the gun or anything ?
>>34153706
>point loaded gun at someone else
>expect to not get shot
lol fucking europoors gtfo
Esteemed gentlemen of /k/, I come to you with the results of some research I have been conducting regarding Glock magazines.
As a man who strives for moderation, I have tried out several leading brands of Glock magazines, noting their strengths and weaknesses.
The significant findings:
1. ETS and Magpul magazines seem to be made of higher friction polymers than Glock factory mags. I have come to this conclusion because ETS and Magpul magazines have consistently had issues feeding full loads of steel case ammunition. This goes for both plain steel case and laquered ammunition (Brown Bear, etc.) I HAVE DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING WORKAROUND TO THIS SIGNIFICANT FLAW: Staggering the loading of these magazines with 1 round of aluminum case ammunition to every 2 rounds of steel case ammunition will restore full reliability of feeding. Presumably this reduces the net friction of the loaded cases to a level the magazine springs can reliably deal with.
2. ETS magazine followers are SUPER fragile. When I first built my 9mm AR it had a high-power spring in it. This broke three ETS followers; I chose to sacrifice several Magpul magazines to keep those particular magazines in action. No other magazines suffered follower breakages.
3. Swapping followers between the brands will not impact feeding reliability but they will fail to lock the slide back on the last round.
>>34153595
So what is your final conclusion
>>34153608
ETS and Magpul mags are suitable for mass purchasing to meet range practice needs, however only Glock factory mags should be depended on for life-or-death purposes.
The off brand mags have a significant price advantage otherwise though, and being much easier to disassemble, should logically be the mainstay of your training mag fleet.
>>34153595
What lower? Also pic of full build
discuss
>>34153569
What? It's an el cheapo fitty BMG inspired by a guy who welds metal turds together and makes pipe shotguns.
It's 2017, what do you fucking expect? Quality? Sanity? Get the fuck outta here.
>>34153684
did i give you permission to reply in a meanie fashion you fucking amoeba? ill buy this and make a motor that full autos the breech loader and then spray it at your goldfish.
>>34153696
Good luck, my goldfish already commit suicide
Hey /k/,
I'm a Marine Corps vet with 5 years of service under my belt, and I'm thinking about trying to go the officer route as I near the completion of my bachelors degree. I don't have any serious maladies or surgeries, however, I do collect a nominal percentage of VA disability for lower back pain and minor insomnia. Can I waive this in an attempt to go active duty again? Will my disability rating immediately disqualify me? I feel like I still have more to give
>>34153554
Just go for it. The worst they can do is say no. And then you will know that you gave it a shot and won't regret not trying.
>>34153667
I guess I will then. Thanks broski
If you have a rating with the VA and receive payment then you are not allowed to come back in. In Army regulation 601-210 which covers entrance for enlistment and commissioning, anyone who recoeved a disability severance or a rating through the va is not authorized to come back in. You told the VA that you are unable to function and performe daily tasks. Why would the DOD give you a job again if you claimed you are physically unable to get through the day? Sorry man its the way it is.
What are some of the oldest arms still in active service, or taken out of reserve in a recent conflict?
I was gonna mention the Maxim but you got to it first.
K98 still being used today by extreme poorfags in the middle east.
>>34153330
Same goes for Mosins
A nugget maybe
Well?
One has a shitty barrel profile that only exists because Marines should never be tasked with anything more complex than trigger pulling, let alone engineering a whole rifle...
And the other one doesn't.
>>34153129
Almost everything in the A2 project was a marked downgrade from the A1. The only improvement was the round handguards. Even then, the A2 handguards manage to look uglier, despite being logistically superior.
>Annoying knob on the pistol grip
>Grip is too skinny
>Stock optimized for prone
>Over complicated sights, that just add cost
>Shitty barrel profile (who the fuck approved this shit?)
>>34153196
One has been found in the hands of dead GI's jammed with cleaning rods down the barrel, and the other has not so....
/k/ newfag here. I've been to the shooting range a few times and had some fun with a few handguns, but I want to buy one eventually and use that instead.
What would be a good, reliable and not so expensive handgun that is fun to shoot at the range but also has enough stopping power to fuck with intruders?
>>34153021
Makarov
Also, use QTDDTOT
Glock 21.
>>34153064
This
Makarov is the best poorfag gun you can get for right now
Cheap, cheap ammo, simple as all hell, and nigh indestructible
Also benis grips :DDDD
I'm not a gun nerd, I can identify some guns from sight alone but I cannot identify these.
are they simply just fictional guns?
I want them
>>34152989
looks like a short barreled g36 and a vepr 12 or some other ak style variant.
>>34153017
/thread
>>34153017
yeah I was thinking the left hand weapon might be some form of ak variant
thanks nonny
What era of soldier was the best anon?
I'm thinking late medieval plate armor with sword, axe and spear.
And you???
>>34152841
the era of drone pilot where your enemy is miles away and you go home at night
>>34152841
Do you have those pictures separate from each other? I have the Falklands one right here.

/k/ommandos, the F-35 makes me sad.
the fact that we are soliciting the industry for 7.62x51mm service rifles makes me feel like I am taking crazy pills.
Post aircraft, weapons, tanks, whatever that should have happened.

EXTRA
Genuine question. Why aren't they used more by the military?
>>34152552
generally they aren't ambidextrous
minimal benefits with a lot of issues
countries that don't currently field bullpups don't really want them
the cost and training time associated with switching over to a brand new weapons platform, especially in the era of endless war known as the war on terror
>>34152552
my dream is to design a bullpup that isn't shit
>>34152552
>Genuine question. Why aren't they used more by the military?
Because they're fucking garbage. Every one of them. Yes, every of them.
>b-but what about...
NO! They're all fucking garbage.
ok /k/ which martial arts is better for self defence if you are not carrying a gun, judo or boxing?
Knife fighting
>>34152528
who or what is attacking you?
>>34152541
an asshole picks up a fight with me and doesnt leave me alone, what do?
When power armor is invented, will melee weapons be back, anon?
>>34152390
No, everyone will just carry heavier firearms and/or more ammo.
Imagine, every US soldier being able to hold a m240 like it was a 1911, laying waste to kebab.
We just had this thread last night...
>>34152442
At some points it's going to be counter-intuitive, no?
Post weapons that have ridiculous fire rates that isn't a minigun
This one has 3000 RPM
It's called the Villar Perosa
>>34152287
>This one has 3000 RPM
only if you count the collective firerate of both guns together
This is the XM556, it uses a 5.56 round instead of a 7.62 round, therefore, it's not a minigun.
It is listed to have 6000 max RPM.
Say hello.
>>34152510
that's because you do count both, you dumbass.
