Well lads, I went trap shooting for the first time yesterday.
I got a 3/25 the first time, and 8/25 the second time, a 15/25 and finished up with a 19/25.
I'm planning on going in two weeks when the range holds novice trap night again. Anyone here like trap shooting? I had a blast.
>>34201640
Yeah man, I play an average of 4 games a week. Trap is my shit.
I run a Browning Citori and Consistently shoot 23-25.
Be sure to try all of the different shotgun sports. Doubles, Sporting clays, skeet...
>>34201640
Trap is fun as fuck. I use a 1976 wingmaster with the 30" full choke tube. I haven't been in a while, that needs to change.
>>34201640
I suck shit at trap except for the one time I shot with knowledgeable people who had trap guns instead of tactical (don't own a working shotgun).
I just bought a Stoeger coach gun, so I guess we'll see how that goes...
I'm looking for something like a (preferably wood stock)
.223 or 7.62x39 lever or bolt action rifle that has a total length no greater than 36 or so inches and weighs somewhere in the 6 pound range. So far I've had no luck.
Something like the Marlin 336Y, but with cheaper ammunition would be the best way to describe what I'm looking for.
CZ-527
>>34201649
Same guy that said this, but literally this gun is exactly what you describe that you want. It's 37 inches, comes in either .223 or 7.62x39, uses a mauser bolt, and is just under 6 pounds. It's really sweet.
>>34201632
Kimber Montana, and hack about 5" off the barrel.
Not mine, but love to see other anon's comp guns.
>>34201594
You have to love how the tactical guys have been low key bootlegging the 3 gun crowd for decades now.
The Rowland Special is the latest example
>>34202486
What ate you talking about.
>>34202523
The new tactical Glock flavor is the "Rowland Special" but anyone who ever shot USPSA or IPSC can see that it's just a shortened competition pistol.

I have a friend who thinks that he can manufacture a working c93 replica. He plans to use a cheap dermal, $50 drill press, a $150 stick welder and, cheap steal. My question is. can this work?. also he claims it will be super easy. (I almost forgot to mention he has no experience welding, using a drill press or even putting together a parts kit).
>>34201506
hardest part will be the barrel if he plans to go all the way.
Where are the blueprints he's building from?
>>34201506
It can work. The question is, can it work well or safely? The answer is no.
How does he plan to making the leaf spring for that mecanism, it is very difficult.
I've never done it before. What do you wear. The fudds on hunting forums say that ghillie suits are best, but my asshole state requires a shitton of solid hunter orange.
What's a good alternative?
>>34200873
Some animals don't even see orange that we'll.
Don't look like a human, don't smell like a human, and don't make noises.
Every state requires orange. But if you camouflaged well who will know? Just carry it with you and wear it when you leave in case deputy bumpkin sees you
>>34200873
Deer don't see the orange, best pattern probably orange with so.e sort of break up or forest pattern on it.
Also, have come across deer several times just walking slowly and taking a 5 minute break near a log every 50 steps or so. Being calm and slow is important
ITT: Argue about why wood is better than polymer or vice versa
For fun:
https://strawpoll.com/wfx3ww1
ones better for using and ones better for looking at.
>>34200870
I think wood is fine to use, I don't see much of a difference on my polymer gun besides weight and wood guns soak recoil a little better
>>34200870
This to be honest
Polymer if you care about function or being tacticool
Wood if you care about classic aesthetics
I'd probably just take a metal folding stock over anything though
What does /k think of the 20" Vepr in 7.62x54r? Thoughts, analysis, critiques, links etc welcome. Thanks.
>>34200471
Get it in .308
depends what you want to use it for
alright /k/ i've had enough
The ongoing war between me and the beavers in my backyard has escalated.
For some time now a bunch of beavers have been damming up the large creek (or small river?) in my backyard and flooding my garden.
I must have destroyed thier dam maybe 4 or 5 times by now hoping they would find someplace else but they just keep rebuilding.
But this time...They cut down my young apple tree my mother gave me. Ive held off killing them because frankly they are damn adorable and cute to watch swim and walk around. But ive had enough.
I need a battle plan /k/
A) continue the conventional warfare of destroying thier damn
B) Chemical warfare, i'm not sure how to go about doing this or if it's possible to poison the oversized rats but if there is a way let me know
C) go nuclear and shoot the damn bastards
D) Shock and Awe. Feign a retreat and allow them to complete thier damn dam and start construction of thier homes in the newly created pond. Maybe start a family. Then flood the place with flammable liquids and burn the whole place. A beaver holocaust if u will. give them ptsd so they run away and never come back.
E) call a professional to get them relocated
i will be doing some intelligence gathering later on /an/ about beavers (what they eat, behaviors, etc) but if u guys have any tips or ideas lemme know
>>34200340
You should snipe them with a 50/cal kek
>>34200360
i dont own one sadly
what would be a sufficient boolet to deal with a beaver?
would a 10/22 work just fine or do i have to bust out the 7.62x64r vepr/and or nugget
Follow the goose ied guys example.
Let em build, apply tannerite, remove canuk rat.
Title related.
>open up a 12ga shell
>empty out the buckshot
>tightly pack in dog shit
>reseal the shell
>load, cycle, fire
Would it work? Has anyone ever tried this?
I assume the blast would atomize it into a sort of spray rather than solid chunks so how far does /k/ reckon the shit would fly?
It would just disintigrate and burn. Probably cause your shotgun to forever smell like dog shit.
>>34200223
A weapon to surpass metal gear. Do it OP and show us the results
>>34200223
Your shotgun would forever smell like seared dog shit, and you couldn't do anything about it lmao
what is the most impractical firearm you can think of
but you still want it?
mine would e pic related
>7.62x39
>full auto
>super short barrel
>flimsy as hell stock
>with the stock folded, it is smaller then a fullsize UZI
>proprietary magazine
>>34200193
An UZI in 10mm
>>34200193
simple really
>>34200193
I don't remember the folding stock being flimsy at all anon
Why don't you own a scoped revolver yet /k/?
Too self conscious? Afraid your friends' moms will make fun of you?
>>34200076
Because I'm not ready to be a pirate.
>>34200076
I prefer to have as few extra features as possible. All but 1 of my guns are iron sights because the 1 doesn't have any. Also just got a scope mount for my garand so that'll have glass shortly too.

Aren't prices a little high? what do you think of these deals?
and I heard they will be getting the F-35, more money for the program
>>34200060
>Aren't prices a little high? what do you think of these deals?
>questioning the man who wrote the art of the deal
fucking kill yourself
>Hand sandniggers as much weaponry as they can handle
>Agitate them into war with each other
>Build a wall and pass a travel ban to keep them out of our country
>Wait until they've all wiped each other out
Trrump is a genius.
>>34200082
idk man, 3.7 Billion $ for fucking Bradleys?
Just little weapon like things, that you can make at home, like a modified pens that shoots BBs,or something like that.
>>34199860
Drop a gatorade bottle works bomb into a post pounder and toss a tennisball in on top. Can launch the ball over 500ft
>>34199860
Nice try
>>34199876
My god,I have to try that at some point.
Looking to buy a revolver but im looking for suggestions
Must be
>357 magnum (want to use for targets and smaller game)
>6 shot minimum although 8 is preffered
>both DA/SA
>relatively affordable
Not looking for a carry piece
The EAA windicator can be had for around $300 if you seek and affordable .357.
>not trying to carry
>8 shots
S&W 627
S&W TRR8
Ruger Redhawk
Sup /k/ I was able to pick one of these boys up recently. Already had their 15 from the same series of rifles and liked it so decided to just stick with it.
Now I'm not a huge fan of the 16" barrel but figured I can always swap it eventually for a 20". What are some good aftermarket barrels for the AR10A? Also want handguards would fit this bitch? I definitely want to mimic something like the Super SASS.
Bizump
>railed gas block
anon....
all else is alright but damn...
>>34200213
>railed gas block
Came stock anon I'm sorry I failed you. I'll be replacing it when I swap barrels out for sure as I hope to get something with rifle length/mid length gas system.
Know anywhere that stocks barrels for the 10A?
