My nanny state of a government is not going to like me posting this, but it's ok I'm probably already on a watch list already.

>Sydney has joined many of the great cities in the world in having police on patrols armed with assault rifles.

>The Colt M4 that will be issued to 100 officers from the NSW Public Order and Riot Squads is a combat weapon, with an effective range of 600m, firing up to 800 rounds per minute. Standard magazines hold 15 rounds.

Surely that was Port Arthur? I mean, their cherry got popped so catastrophically they banned everything up to and including keyring laser pointers. By comparison, giving a couple of special riot teams ARs is kind of weasel piss.

Anything about Florida I suppose.

Are there any good places to go innawoods and shoot, or just anywhere in particular to shoot at? Alachua county is full of cucks so it's hard to find anywhere to shoot in the North-Central region.

The one decent range near me is expensive as fuck, and I'd rather not have to struggle to find some empty property.

P.S. fuck UF

Say I buy a Galil AR in the near future. How would I go about sticking my dick in it in the safest way possible?

>>34204007
Right down the muzzle. Might be a bit loose for you though, OP. A better alternative would be to stick the muzzle up your ass, fully loaded and ready to bust its hot load into you.
>>
>>34204019
Any dick is too big for a muzzle that size and I don't like putting things in my ass.
Serious replies only please
>>
>>34204007

The only familiarity I have with the Galileo AR is Counter Strike. Is there a way to lock the bolt open/BCG in back position?

Post your old gear ITT

Starting off with the nylon rucksacks of the 60s and 70s.

I love the Lightweight rucksack. Indeed it was very "space age" for it's time when it was first produced in 1962. It is without a doubt symbolic of the vietnam war, but some people will say that it's low center of gravity and lack of waist support makes it impractical and uncomfortable. These people are pussies, however they are not entirely wrong.

The tropical rucksack was introduced in 1968. It has a spring steel X frame, and much larger storage capacity compared to the LW ruck. These were much better at navigating through thick jungle, but also lacked proper waist support.

The alice pack is a combination of these two packs and is without a doubt the most functionally superior and aesthetic rucksack design of the 20th century.

Durr rifle: Savage Avis II or Ruger American Rifle.
Hand-me-down .22: Henry Golden Boy or Classic Lever Action.

Naval thread

I visited pear harbor today, I went aboard a WW2 submarine, went to the USS Arizona memorial, and my favorite part, the USS Missouri. It is an incredibly amazing sight, seeing the thing bristle with 5 inch and 16 inch guns.

Anyway, post any and all things naval.

>I moved cautiously, feeling my way with ungloved hands toward the starboard bulkhead in the compartment, which was my starting point. What I would find I had no inkling. Eventually, it would severely draw on every ounce of courage I possessed. As I looked up, I saw a light that glowed dimly, flickered, and disappeared. It must have been phosphorescence in the water, I thought as the blackness enveloped me once again. I shrugged as I thought: I would settle for just enough light to be able to see the end of my nose.

>Suddenly, I felt that something was wrong. I tried to suppress the strange feeling that I was not alone. I reached out to feel my way and touched what seemed to be a large inflated bag floating on the overhead. As I pushed it away, my bare hand plunged through what felt like a mass of rotted sponge. I realized with horror that the “bag” was a body without a head.

>Gritting my teeth, I shoved the corpse as hard as I could. As it drifted away, its fleshless fingers raked across my rubberized suit, almost as if the dead sailor were reaching out to me in a silent cry for help.

>I fought to choke down the bile that rose in my throat. That bloated torso had once contained viscera, muscle, and firm tissue. It had been a man. I could hear the quickening thump of my pulse.

>For the first time I felt confined in the suffocating darkness and had to suppress the desire to escape. “Breathe slowly, breathe deeply,” I commanded myself. I must stay calm, professional, detached. The dangers from falling wreckage, holes in the deck, and knife-sharp jagged edges were real, formidable hazards. I must not succumb to terror over something that could not harm me.

Hey guys, I bought this from http://www.nihonzashi.com/japanese_weapons_tetsubo.aspx

It's a Japanese Anti-Armor/Cavalry war club.

This one is made of laminate oak and has 144 5/8 inch steel rivets, and it weighs 14lbs. (Or as I remember, from the shipping order)

What do you guys think? I spent 219.99$ on it... I'm pretty happy with it, it'll make for a nice art piece. I love blunt weaponry, so that stuff interests me.

I'm under the concealed carry age in my state so my main areas of interest are self defense and recreational use. Never been hunting but if I ever did take it up the Winchester 1894 should do just fine. I feel like .22 isn't enough for defending my property but what do I know.

An AR-15 or an AK. Doesn't matter which, but I'm not sure if Russia still has obamgos on it. Get an AR in wood furniture if you can, it'll make it more comfy.

Help me /k/, I'm losing my mind here. I'm looking at getting a S&W 442, but having issues nailing down what model's what. I want the moonclip version, and their site lists a moonclip performance center version which sounds great.

Problem is, said version looks like pic related, "pro series" written on one side of the gun with the other side blank. But none of the listing on gunbroker or other sites that are advertising a moonclip version look like that, despite stating that they're the same model number as the moonclip and performance center version listed by S&W.

Is it just a difference in production year and all the moonclip versions are PC tuned? Or what?

Moonclip? For what purpose? What caliber are you using?
>>
>>34202291
>with the other side blank

Actually the other side as a key hole for you to safely lock the gun internally. This way the gun is safe when you are not shooting it.

The only company with such a brilliant idea is S&W that is why they are the best.

>>34202393
.38. Just figured that having it cut for moonclips just gives another speedload option than not.

The J frames thankfully don't have the cucklock, only modern smiths I'm willing to buy.

Hey everyone. I started getting interested in EDC knives (and EDC gear in general) recently. I'm looking for a nice folding pocket knife that isn't crazy expensive and is safe for someone who doesn't have much experience with folding knives.

I have been look around for awhile and found the Ontario Rat 1 knife in D2 steel. It's at a great price on Amazon and I've heard a lot of good things about it, and I was wondering what everyone thinks about the knife and whether I should buy it or not. Advice is appreciated.

It's crudely manufactured, inaccurate Slavshit?

Does Tactical Response or Valor Ridge offer anything in the way of something unique that would justify traveling to take their training? Or are they just really good at marketing themselves and I should just take the nearest gun fighting class?

They definitely don't teach how to drive a stickshift.
>>
I got to meet Jim Fuller when i visited.

The high risk civilian contractor is fairly unique. They offer a lot of classes
>>
>>34201986
All tactical training companies just teach you how to use thumb over bore grip and how to shoot at paper targets. But you'll look really cool doing it!

Everyone knows that true operators use thumb over bore in combat and scan after every shot they fire. Its neat stuff, I know many delta guys that actually fire 3 shoots with their AR platform their running, then fire 3 shots with their Glock platform their running, then scan.

Its definitely not a waste of money and its definitely the tactics that military and police use.

Looking for a first gun/CCW. Was thinking a 442 or LCR .38, but people have been saying the trigger would be too heavy? Only handgun I've ever shot was a full size 1911.
27 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
>>34201843
It's heavy but definitely not TOO heavy and it can be smoothed out and lightened if you take it to a gun smith.

In any case this is a close range defensive pistol, you don't need to be making 25 yard slow fire shots. 3 shots in 3 seconds at 3 feet away. That's how most defensive shootings go.
>>
>>34201946
Would you recommend the 442 or the LCR? Isnt there a trigger kit for the 442?
>>
Many people say that snubnose revolvers are extremely difficult guns to shoot well. Common complaints include short sight radius, heavy trigger pull, long trigger pull, and heavy recoil.

As someone who, like you, was considering picking a snubnose revolver and ended up picking one up, these complaints are either coming from people who are either exaggerating them or are bad at shooting pistols in general. A snubnose revolver is mechanically capable of shooting a 5 shot 2-3'' group at 25 yards, and it can easily do a 1-2'' group at 10 yards in the hands of an average shooter who isn't flinching or jerking the trigger.
