IF you are the right person for it, you will find semingly endless amount of pleasure in a dakimakura.

I bought my first casing in June 2011. It was peach skin, in october that year I switched to the infamous two way tricot material. It is the best feeling ever. I have slept with my pillow almost every single day, bought super expensive backups just because the casing wears over time.

Sometimes its just a really comfortable pillow and sometimes I feel like she is really there. It feels great to go to sleep and great to wake up, cuddeling with her has led me to a overall healthier life. It relieves stress, strengthens the immune system, BUILDS SELF ESTEEM (!) and basicly kills depression. I can prevent you from getting sick while everybody else catches the flu. - I experienced all of this IRL.

My life took very positive turns. I got a job and my own car, found new friends and got shit together and lost weigth. Nobody knows of my secret and they don't need to, though I believe sometimes in the future people like us will ask for acceptance just like gay people do now - making fun of us will be looked down upon by society at some point.

The only thing I have that would be close enough would be pic related since it came with a game, but it's the size of your average pillow. I don't sleep with it, as you can see it still has the factory folds, but I like it on my bed as a decorative piece

Ive bought secondhand from Mandarake, Surugaya, and YJA; Mandarake has the most stringent checks and all the opened/used ones are noted and their value depreciates considerably. All of them have their original clear packaging. Surugaya may come repackaged. Both Manda and Surugaya are 100% legit.

There's a lot floating on YJA and there's often bootlegs, so be careful if it's not described as 100% legit.

When you fluff your dakimakura do you take the cover off each time or do you ever get lazy and fluff it with it still on? Would this significantly detrimental to the integrity of the cover or am I worrying too much? I take it off each time, but it is such a pain in the ass to get back on I am tempted to just leave it on the next time I have to fluff it up.

Yes, I am that lazy that spending 5 min pulling it off and putting it back on is considered too effort. I'm a burger and got a 20" x 60" cluster fiber pillow from royalpillow, it should be fluffed about twice a month to maintain maximum comfiness in my opinion, otherwise it flattens somewhat and the cover slides around. I think i am going to have to get a DHR5000 at some point as my offical cover hangs off slightly at the bottom and I hear that the DHR5000 is as good as it gets when it comes to the pillow itself.

I don't know the 5000, but I recently got the A&J MH2000, which is a smaller (63x43cm) version of the 6000 in the same "Hi Class" material, to fill a Shanghai cover I got (pic related) and in the meantime test it out without breaking the bank. I tested it with a Lyctron daki cover, just to feel the result. Which was awesome, enough to guarantee I'll replace the cheap filling in my daki with a 6000. No need to bother with the 5000 or similar, especially since the price difference (including the shipping cost, which would be the same) is negligible.

2WT is just a generic descriptor of (mostly) polyester material that's woven to be able to stretch 2 ways. There's many levels of 2WT and even legit Chinese circle ones can be much thinner than A&J. Just because it's 2WT doesn't guarantee quality. Even amongst Fules/Seiren/P80/A&J their 2WT materials vary slightly. For example P80 is coarser but more durable, but A&J is smooth with almost sheen-like quality.

For size, unless you get the original digital file at original resolutions, you're not going to go anywhere near the quality of the original. You'll lose detail on anything that's scanned/photographed then postprocessed.

Yes. I once bought something like "scent of girl" from tamatoys? Was 1k yen for a small bottle in akihabara. It was very nice combined with a daki, but it fades away quite fast. I also didn't notice any stains left from it at all. Worth a try i guess.

You could also try a regular womens perfume and apply it on a piece of cloth. That might leave a stain if applied directly on a daki.
