Would you hug the Lambdadelta?
I'd rather pat Bern's head, but hell yes I would.
Her dress is like Erika's, in the universal catbox of indeterminate superposition of all the quantum state in the Dress possibility space.
As long as no red has been given to collapse the wave function, she can have all the dresses, and you can't do anything about it.
I never post, so I'll post now just to post Bern.
All modest posting guys please.
I can't accept canon Bern honestly I always think of her mostly like the first appearances on the novel and heavily related to Higurashi Frederica and a part of Rika herself. Calm, emotionally detached and intelligent thinker etc.
She's broken. She's the Rika who never got to experience the final timeline, who lived through the penultimate timeline and realized that no matter what, the Rika who would finally be free to live a normal life with her friends would never be her. She was trained in torture and suffering by Featherine, and she compulsively rejects any companionship and attachment as a self defensive measure. The only reason she's as close to Lambdadelta is she is is because of Lambda's incredible stubbornness, loneliness, and Bernka-sexuality. Bernkastel is FUCKED UP.
Bern and Lambda are a pair. Both wonderfully complete each others. Bern without Lambda is a lonely, friendless, pathetic broken failure of a witch. Lambda without Bern is a broken, delusional, suicidal witch. Both are perfect.
I want for them to troll all the worlds together for all eternity.
Imagine a meta-meta hypothesis where Bern developed beyond her broken state. What do you think it could be? I mean to be closer to Featherine or similar.
Bern unbroken can't be Bern. Bern is a selfish, violent, apathetic, murderous troll. She stems from her wonderful imperfections. Lambdadelta keeps her on a loose leash and defines somewhat vague limits for her. Both are perfect broken mirrors, shining into the void.
I wish Bern, Lambda were actual characters not just fake magic shit that didn't really happen. The real Battler is in a wheelchair and the real Ange is the one in the current day. Just because the story tried (and failed) to be moral and intellectual didn't mean it had to be so bland and boring.
So we can say if Bern wasn't broken would just be Rika no more or less?
But then that would kill the Bern. Rika is Rika. Bern is Bern. 'Fixing' Bern would only kill her.
I can only think of a Rika-acting Bern as an elaborate ruse of her to troll a lot of people simultaneously.
For the love of Featherine, I want a WtC 5 so much. I want to see her. i want to read about her new antics. I want to protect that smile so, so much.
now we are talking.
There's nothing really likeable about Bern. She's fun to despise, but actually "liking" her is pretty silly.
That's just one fragment in the sea of fragments, and the metaworld is above all of them. Besides, the 'real' Battler is in the metaworld. The dude in a wheelchair is just the person in his mortal body.
Yes, it's a constant struggle.
At first, I was bitching at the air for years and now she's materialized to laugh at me. It's horrible.
I was walking with a friend last weekend and they pointed out a sticker on a streetlamp post that said "Bern," and said "I bet I know what that's referring to!" And I was like, "lol, but it's probably not the Umineko character." They looked at me oddly and pointed out that they were referring to Bernie Sanders. Durr.
My, what a social disaster you are. I feel embarrassed in your place.
Do you think lambda actually cared about them and their fate or she just did that to piss off bernkastel because fuck you that's why?
Do people really believe this? She made it painfully clear that she was doing it because she has a soft spot for people with iron determination who work hard. That's her whole thing.
It's her thing after all.
She represents human determination, the idea that no matter what, people will push through whatever they're facing.
As long as people do just that she is perfectly willing to give out her blessing.
It's also why she loves Bern so much.
But Bernkastel is the breaking of fate, the slight sliver of chance that could change everything, and more importantly, the denial that this will ever happen. By her wilful absence, there is only fate. Bernkastel defines chance and fate equally, and she's far more liberal with the second than with the first one.
That is why she likes Lambdadelta too. Lambdadelta is the certainty that something will happen and Bern knows miracles won't happen.
>But Bernkastel is the breaking of fate, the slight sliver of chance that could change everything, and more importantly, the denial that this will ever happen
Yes, but at the cost of Bern's own will, her own determination. Bern needs to search the sea of fragments near endlessly to avert a certain fate.
>Lambdadelta is the certainty that something will happen and Bern knows miracles won't happen
Not at all.
Their relationship is not an equal one.
Lambda is the idea that determination can make uncertain events certain and Bern needs to have even far stronger will to make even impossible events certain.
