What is wrong with Wh*te Americans?
>you will never be a Puma who kills white people in the mountains
why even live?
I think that's incredibly sweet.
I wish I had a dad that'd take me hunting.
We just cut down trees instead. It's certainly more economically viable and a good skill to have when I take over but hunting seems a lot more fun.
He thinks it's a waste of time though.
My grandfather taught me how to hunt when I was just a bit older than her. She's way more excited than I was after my first kill, but I do remember feeling the adrenaline rush. My face went completely numb and my cheeks were tingling. Shooting a buck, watching my grandfather butcher it, helping my grandmother cook it, and then eating it with the family; this really changed my understanding of food. I still eat store-bought beef, but it feels disrespectful to the animal in a way that eating wild venison does not.
>but it feels disrespectful to the animal
If you see the conditions of the animals in your standard store bought meat, disrespect to it doesn't even begin to cover it. I don't give a fuck on my side but for you, im not sure what is your deal.
You have to get a hunting license. Go to courses. Then you need a hunting permit from a land owner. Which wouldn't be a problem in my case but they're recently in high demand and often quite expensive. Making it a lot more expensive than just buying meat naturally.
It's not that big a time investment to get to the point where you can go and hunt I think. I've just briefly looked at it though.
