WHEN
>>
>>51097041
I'm going to Argentina tomorrow. Are there any protests I have to avoid, or are people pretty happy with him?
>>
>>51097432
were full
>>
>>51097461
Too bad Rodrigo
Also is there much violent crime?
I'm pretty fucking keen to visit your beautiful country.

I'd change Paraguay for the northern Chile provinces. We have to keep Bolivia away from the sea at any costs.
>>
>>51097432
protests are already part of the argentinian culture, some people will protest no matter what, i suggest to avoid them and if possible stay away from the big cities.
>>
>>51097432

where are you staying?
i would say that if macri wins many argentinians (K are going to casa rosada to protest against him (same if scioli wins but less likely)
just stay away from casa rosada and everything will be ok
>>

where are you going?

this is my 8th year living in buenos aires city and i've never been robbed
>>
>>51097623
I'll be in Buenos Aires for a while, would that be safe if I stay out of any demonstration?
>>51097722
Buenos Aires for the first week, then tracking my way south to Patagonia. My plans are pretty fluid though and I've got about a month set for it.
>>
>>51097870
>I'll be in Buenos Aires for a while, would that be safe if I stay out of any demonstration?
yeah you'll be fine. Which neighbourhhod are you staying at?
>>
>>51097849
That's good to see. I'm far more worried about Brazil tbqh, although getting mugged isn't the end of the world and my insurance is fairly comprehensive. I just don't want my passport stolen which I'll have in a money belt.
I look like a total gringo so maybe I'll be more of a target.
>>
>>51097953
Just make sure to stay away from all the slums and not to roam alone at night in some places. Since you'll be in Buenos Aires, avoid Villa 31 at all costs.
>>
>>51097939
San Telmo. Is it nice there?
>>
he looks like tony blair
>>
>>51097870
This is the BA starter pack

red= avoid
yellow= be careful

cheers
>>
>>51098045
i second this
>>
>>51098008
I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
I'm not one of those people who wants to help or interact with impoverished so I'd prefer to stay away from areas like that.
>>
>>51098045
I'm within the yellow bit, I have an opportunity to change my hostel after a few days so I will if there is too much trouble
Thanks senpai
>>
>>51098182
Yea. San telmo isnt bad. Its filled with tourists and youre close to Puerto Madero/9 de Julio. Still, some streets are kinda shady.
>>
>>51097573

Volve a tu campo de concentración Ana :DDD

>160 million

lol wtf

Argentina has 42 million
Chile has like 17 million
Paraguay and Uruguay around 3-5 million

That doesn't make even half of that number
>>
>>51098182
san telmo ist bad at all, lots of tourist and i literally go there every day. but becouse its full of tourist argentinans thiefs are likely to go there, just stay alert and everything is gonna be ok
also if you have the chance to change the hostel i would recomend you palermo or recoleta, places you MUST visit
>>
>>51098182
i don't like san telmo. the buildings are ugly and the sidewalks are too small. also at night you should be careful (probably nothing will happen anyway). always there are many tourists there though.
the map that the guy posted is accurate.
to me, the best neighbourhood to stay is palermo. really better. but it's surely more expensive than san telmo
