I see people speak like OP all the time. You guys must stop seeing the "chance of being born somewhere" with a notion that you are sort of placed inside a body somewhere in the world when you're born, or whatever the hell you're imagining.

You are in fact just being replicated by your dad and mother's dna. The chances of you being born "as a...whatever" lies strictly within the fact of where your parents live, and what kind of nationality they have, etc.

This means you're likely to be born as whatever they are, or a mix of those and the cultural nationality of the country they live in.

Their chances lies in the same deal in relation to their parents, and same goes for all your ancestors, all back to where it becomes irrelevant to speak of nationalities at all. I don't think it makes sense to think of where "you" could be born until "you" exist at all, as a sperm cell in your father's balls, and equalent in your mother. Your dna, which is then slightly unique in relation to the other sperm cells, are then "you". Before that, your chances of being born anywhere would be zero, because "you" don't exist. You can't very well think of it as a large web of what if their ancestors went somewhere else and so on, because then their lives would be different and you're then speaking of "what if my ancestors gave birth to a child in usa" instead of "what if my ancestors gave birth to my mother/father. To further that conversation we'd have to speak of chaos theory, which none of us know much about I'm sure, but the gist of it as I see it, is that your mother and your father is the result of the very specific choices and events (not restricted to their own choices or the events surrounding themselves) made up until then. But they would never have come into being if those choices and events hadn't happened. So you can't talk about "what if my mother were born by a different version of my grandmother",because well it wouldn't be "your" grandmother nor mother then, the same dna don't come twice and there can't be alternative versions of them. It would be other people giving birth to different people. Your chances of being born came into the relm of reality when you started existing, not before.
