What's your country's best film /int/
One of the greatest films ever made anywhere in the world.
Channel 4 showed it one night, expected bollywood tat, was pretty impressed
India's parallel cinema (what you call 'indie') is a delight for the intellectually and culturally inclined. In the 70s there was a wave of socialist-leaning, progressive cinema that was way ahead of its time.
Well Nine Queens is about two con men who are chasing the big one, it almost got nominated for an Oscar and it got an american remake which sucked giant balls
Here have the one that won the Oscars in 2010 (and sadly is getting another american remake soon)
Shame we never hear about, channel 4 showed a few great Indians films over the course of a weeks years back, shame they don't show more on film4
>It's an awkward and absurd comedy about a 30-year old who still lives with his parents
It's about 4chan then?
cool thanks adding them to the imdb watchlist,
Latin america has some class cinema
>tfw Norway doesn't make any movies ;(
I watched Få meg på, for faen, but closed it after the guy touched the gilr with his penis
Also I've seen Arme Riddere, it was cool
And also Gaten Ragnarok, it was a pretty comfy movie
City of God, that literally has to be in the top 20 movies ever made
top taste m8
Yeah, well here's this anthology film which are just 6 standalone shorts about rage and revenge
Sadly, the guy who made it is a fucking asshole and he himself made a lot of fake pirated copies with clips that repeat over and over again so it will be impossible to pirate, at least for now
It's nominated for this years oscars and I guess it's good, I didn't liked it that much and only 3 shorts were good in my opinion, but it got praised and loved by foreign audiences so you might like it more than I did
Still, look forward to it because it's not available yet
As depressing as it is, probably this one. Although we have many great films, especially in the comedy/drama genre.
And this one for oldies
That has good m8 but as an american you kind of have alot better to chose from
Please brother, the pusher films are fucking amazing
I guess I could share some French films since half frogman
J'ai toujours rêvé d'être un gangster
Amour (by Michael Haneke)
Caché (Haneke again)
La grande vadrouille (lel)
then there's based Belgium:
Ex-Drummer (one of my favourite movies)
Fuuuck, this film has so many great scenes, notably the one in the supermarket and the one in the church (from which the poster still is derived)
Fun fact: That guy is actually a doctor and he writes medical/political opinion articles in Aftenposten
That was fucking class, it's not gay if its madds
>doesn't post la haine or the diving bell and the butterfly
Very good but bruges had better structure characters, sorta less unbelievable too, still good taste m6
and yes the posters suck donkeycock
Your country is so small, how many movies do you make per year?
I've been looking for a small country to escape to after I get my degree in cinematography. Maybe I'll come to yours.
It's OSS 117, based comedy. There are two of them, best one is the one in Rio imo. It's a very "French" humour tho, very absurd and they are playing with words a lot, i'm not sure how funny it can be for a foreigner watching in with subs. There's quite a lot of /int/ related banter tho.
What is the last non-native and non-anglo movie you have watched?
Mine was this, it was pretty fun.
True, all very good movies. Many of the ones with Gabin or e Funès are very good as well, but i have a thing for those old funny movies with Lino Ventura like Les tontons flingueurs or Les Barbouzes
Haneke is the balls, liking das weisse band helped me a handjob at uni
its not gay if its madds, honestly would/10
thanks on the watch list, not spains best but I like REC because of pic related
top top taste, but no la dolce vita?
this is england is savage not a huge amount of ppl like it though, you like once apon a time in anatolia m8?
That's about it for the Australian film industry
Anything that's even remotely related to this guy
I remember I laughed my ass off when they find that Nazi's son on the beach and Jean Dujardin tells him he shouldn't speak like that about his dad, lel
>/int/ ne comprendra jamais le génie de Michel Audiard
This one's pretty fun indeed
Once Upon a Time in Anatolia is probably the best Turkish film ever made. I think it was better than Tree of Life and deserved Palme d'Or but I cannot be objective on the matter.
looks good watchlisted
let the right one in
did pedro almodavar direct or just produce, didn't know he was an asshole
>Colombians and Mexicans
>bashing glorious Recep
SJW fag deceted, reported to republican guards
>tfw you share a common language with a much larger country so your film industry is undersized compared to similar sized European nations
Feels bad man
It was so much better than Tree of Life, fucking pretentious critics sucking mailiks cock
Blinkende Lygter (Flickering Lights)
>tfw Anders Thomas Jensen is back with a new comedy
Are you serious? Irish main actors, Irish writer director, Do you think Apocalypse now is a Vietnamese film?
ok good i like pedro
Theres a special atmosphere to it, i think its awfully nice
>What is the last non-native and non-anglo movie you have watched?
Pic related. Shit movie and I say that as someone with a scat fetish.
>so your film industry is undersized compared to similar sized European nations
you still have some fucking killer film m8, proper jealous like
idk if this movie is the best one, but i like it.
is that the salo 99 thing? I'm afraid to watch that shit, that and a serbian film
nope pans labyrinth was mexicos best
I'm going to post my opinions
Also BR cimena in the old days was apparently great but i haven't watched many old movies.
Ilha das Flores is a documentary about a place with the same name(Island of Flowers). It's has a tragic comedy tone about poverty and waste.
Is this the Italy's Lawrance of Arabia?
You probably heard about it or watched it
Posting on behalf of Japan
watchlisted but city of god is the best thing brazil has ever done at anything
Comedy movie based on a treatal piece.
probably the most Polish film ever
Kieślowski can suck my dick, the pretentious fuck filmed a shitload of "complex emotions" but never achieved what Koterski has achieved
Kek, i don't have the pacience to poorly describe every movie, sorry.
The second one is way better. It deals with a lot more than just the relation between the police and the drug traffic. I still prefer City of God, though
Italy has more disturbing movies than that tough
One is this
>mfw an australian has watched Ornen
noice. It was a bretty good show, if I remember correctly.
to kurwa or not to kurwa, kek, what's this about polish bro?
c'mon m8 get srs
It is waaaaay more fantasticaal though(as in fantasy). It has a story with political corruption plans and shit, the other one was less specific and more ''real'', imo.
The Wickerman, horror film but it could just as well be a documentary on the weirdo's that inhabit Scotland's islands.
The Nicholas Cage remake was hilariously shit though.
>no estonian posting Tangerines
fuck it ill do it, also no lives of others German bro?
the hill jesus died on or sutin
Yaaaaay, last one mothefuckers. Even though nobody cares.
This is a black comedie in mexico, about a kidnapping going wrong.
I'm genuinely dissapointed by this movie Ruski, it was completely "hurr durr evil reds"
It really improves on the original.
I was defending it from rehorics oh lord, have mercy, please,p-lease no NOO, LORD, NOOOOOOOO, NOT THE BEES
this is top notch quality french cinema
I care I've watch listed them all thanks brazil anon

Why are Italians good at horroer/gore
