How are you improving your life in 2017 fellas?

I'll start.
Fitness:
>I am going to do 30 minutes of cardio per day with my heart rate at 160-180bpm to improve my heart health
>Continue lifting weights
>Consuming less trans fats and be more mindful of getting my micronutrients
>Stick to a meme skin regiment I found on a Chinese dog-eating forum

Shekels:
>I am going to contribute at least another $30,000 to my portfolio in 2017
>Work at cultivating more shekels through freelancing in my spare time
>I will review my expenses every quarter and try to spot where I needlessly wasted money and how I can reduce my expenses without significantly affecting my quality of life
>I am going to maximize my time spent on productive activities

Social;
>I am going to start more conversations with people
>I am going to attend my University's toastmasters to improve my speech
>I am going to cut out people that don't benefit me out of my life by reviewing my contact list and who i spend most time with

>0.747 HDI on par with Algeria and Jordan

Just partition this territory between Poland and Russia already. Ukraine is a very definition of a failed state.

I'm genuinely curious about how trash Australia's internet actually is. I pay about $80 a month for uncapped and get this speed.

It used to be a lovely, albeit small city. Then Slovaks came and made it what it is today - a hideous abomination, the biggest town in Europe.

Do you have obscure minorities in your country that are almost forgotten? We have these:

>Rusyns
They live in the far Norteast. Language is related to Ukrainian, but they consider themselves a separate ethnicity. Many of them are assimilated and you can recognise them only by their religion, which is Greek Catholicism, whereas Slovaks are traditionally Roman Catholics or Lutherans.

>Gorals
You can find them in the mountainous border areas near Poland and Czech Republic. They live in the mountain valleys, language is related to Polish.

>Carpathian Germans
Came here in the Middle Ages to repopulate the land after plagues and Mongol invasion. Were concantrated in mining towns of Central Slovakia and big cities. They use dialects that are hard to understand for standard German speakers. Mostly Protestant. Only a few thousands left after the post-WWII expulsion.

>Croats
In the Southwest. Descendants of refugees from the Ottoman wars in the Balkans. Mostly assimilated.

>Valachs
Romance speakers, shepherds in the mountains, only speak Slovak for several centuries.

>Jews
Only a few thousands left. Even less of those who stayed observant. Mostly in big cities.

Except Britain(or football culture), the whole Europe doesn't have any influential popular culture.
Why?

I had a Korean Japanese classmate, who told me that his Japanese mothers side does not accept him since he's part Korean, and they've cut ties to their family, since the mother brought them shame by polluting their Japanese heritage. And he said, this racism against Koreans is pretty intrinsic to Japanese culture,even after Japan's WW2 brutality against the Korean people.


Its kind of ironic considering Japanese people are technically descendants of migrants from the Korea peninsula and colonised the island a thousand years ago, in a time when Japan was inhabited by Polynesian Aborigines. And there's a lot of linguistic and genetic studies that show Koreans and Japanese people are related. So what gives? Since the average Japanese nationalist is well versed in their own history, wouldn't they know that they all pretty much have Korean blood.
