What's the most debatable/important historical topic in your country?
In Belgium it's WW1, becasue our poor cunt was bullied by Germany and we like to white about it a lot
WW1 topic usually overshadows WW2 here
What about your countries?
90% of historical discussions and 99% of our historical cinema are about our Civil War.
It makes sense tbdesu. Many families haven't been able to identify their murdered ancestors, to the present day. Also, we're probably the only European country with streets still dedicated to high-profile people of our previous dictatorial regime.

Why is every Jap have come across a bitter an resentful sack of flesh.
Seriously, they poke fun but then go full apeshit if you say anything remotely insulting about japan
I have two very kind and funny Japanese friends, but through the many Ï have encountered, they are all like this

Japanese are the Germans of Asia. It's not their fault. They simply don't have a proper sense of humor.
Anyone else sick and fucking tired of constructions at his/her(tips) place and all around it?
I am. Since 5-6 years everything is getting build. 10 projects end, 15 more start, it's traffic jams, closed streets, detours, crowds in bottlenecks on the streets, hundreds of building equipment/trucks on the streets.
I'm sick and tired of it, this is just too much. Airport, highways, beltways, trams, 2-3 lane streets in the city, apartment buildings, tourist infrastructure, economical area expansions, renovation of old areas, archaeological excavations, vienna tram stops, bikeways all at the same time.
I feel like I'm in this huge dustbowl and I can't even get out because even near my recently build flat, like in the 500 m radius, there's a few new ones getting build, some construction for tourists, renovation of old red brick barracks, reconstruction of a old alley etc.
I'm going crazy.
Pic related, every exit from my city looks like this, 10km traffic jams from 60 to 9 and 13 to 17 every day.

That's because you're living in a previously poor country given lots EU development money
In 10-15 years you will say thank you
Also if you have so much construction activity then why do your builders/workers come to here? I though the argument was that there were no jobs
>>76615128
From what I know our gdp growth fell after we joined EU but yes, some of the constructions are partly funded by the EU but it dosn't mean EU gets nothing out of this.
For example our airport is used by a lot of Michelin officials and they did a lot of lobbying so that they have a much faster travel home.
Same for the economical area expansion or the tourist infrastructure.
