are you sure you're not logged into some tumblr? because when i open my tumblr with an incognito chrome tab, i get the screen saying 'this tumblr may cointain sensitive material'. and by clicking 'safe search is on' right below that i get the login prompt asking for email and password.

but you certainly will be able to find plenty of adult tumblrs that haven't been flagged yet. i can't think of one other than mine that i know to be flagged sadly.

twitter has a complicated way of saving pictures on your PC if there's multiple ones, and also it's boring to scroll through their twitter ignoring any other posts they've made. i guess i haven't just seen a proper art blog on twitter.

i'm somewhat curious of how exhentai and boorus would work in this case. i always got the image that they're meant for other people to post your works, so communicating to your fanbase on those sites and directing them to your patreon or other blogs seems unusual.

you post to social media to expand your fanbase, so you want to have as many of these sites as possible. for porn artists twitter and tumblr are the best choices as they allow uncensored nsfw (on pixiv you have to censor it according to japanese standards). for sfw artists there are also deviantart and instagram that work just fine.
if you want to have a gallery to showcase, then that's different. you can use imgur, e(x)-hentai, boorus, a custom made site, whatever you want.

12. type "g"
13. press the enter key

You don't know how page traffic works, do you? Everyone is a "random person" when they first come to your site or blog, you need to convert them into a follower, which is why things like web design are so crucial for building your brand.
The difference between people who visit and the people who hit that follow button is called conversion rate and things like page load time or even an extra click lower it significantly, which is why Tumblr has always been much better to showcase your art than deviantArt, for example.

You're looking at it wrong. Tumblr isn't trying to decrease viewers to you, they're trying to increase registered user base. The majority of people who rely on tumblr for niche porn will sign up for an account.

If you didn't label your social media sites as adult before, you're doing a disservice to yourself. The few general audience browsers you'd miss out on are outweighed by the number of people specifically looking for porn accounts.

On Tumblr, ideally you should keep your main blog SFW, and keep you porn on an adult sub-blog. You can create 10 sub blogs per day, 99 max. If you want to game the system, you can keep retweeting yourself. As long as you do not post adult content directly on your main blog, it doesn't have to be marked as adult.
