I still have a bit of trouble keeping my brushes clean painting with oil. I clean them with paint thinner and cold soap and water. Still, they don't look pristine like this.

The secret is to never paint!
This drawmixpaint guy on Youtube suggests to never clean them at all. He coats them with linseed oil and makes sure they never dry out in his studio.

i get my brushes from the dollar store. spend the money on paint and boards/ canvas
