Where can I find good photos for figure drawing so I can emulate that atelier experience?

The sticky has all the resources you could ever possibly ask for. I recommend Croquis Cafe if you want an atelier experience.

I really like how this one doesn't look like a photograph, but I have no idea why it doesn't.

im brian, dont make me post my work. you already know its me.

>>3132027
yep its the hatching. all one direction, doesn't follow form, can't even continue a line down the whole figure. all choppy and crappy.

Brian, the way you like to apply hatching lines is not objectively the best way. It is simply the way you like to do it. I appreciate your opinion to the extent that it doesn't border dogma. This board is a little pond.
>>
>>3131921
incorrect.
>>
>>3131859
Pay few bucks to ugliest tramp you can find. They are excellent as models because there are so many things to hook on while drawing. I'm dead serious. Can't get better than that. Beautiful young chicks are hardest to draw.
>>
>>3131859
look for life drawing on facebook or ask at your local art shop or college if they know of meetings or groups. it's not atelier or bust unless you have literally no money, in which case carry on

Just go to atelier , I got into art college with full paid scholarship after being rejected last year , this year I went to atelier for 5 month and its life changing , from not being accepted at all to getting in fully paid , and when u learn fundamentals there , you can transition into digital art with no problem ( if you want to ) , pic related is my 5th digital drawing ever on my first tablet ever , fundamentals stay with you once you are being supervised for 5 months every single day

>>3131921
You must be blind or just be one of the usual retard contrarians
>>
>>3133233
Do you ever struggle with imagination? Seems like most of the atelier guys I follow on Tumblr and Instagram only draw from very close reference with very few additions or changes.
>>
>>3133260
Honestly ? No ... and I hate to say it but talent comes in many ways , including creativity , but talent is ever only a headstart nothing more , anyone can catch up to you with good work routine and even better if they have someone to supervise them. You have to want to do it , you have to love doing it and you have to have stories in your head , fill your head with stories, concepts , read comics or manga , watch movies , anime , cartoons , and if you take in even only 10% of what you saw and start playing with it in your head in a year you'll be golden .. oh and naked people , lots and lots of naked people , fast sketches 2 min max ,it will train your brain to only go for important muscles and when it comes to imagination if you know where to start ( only important muscles ) you'll get to details easly

serious question
can anyone explain why this is good?
>>
>>3133388
because it's better than what 90% of /ic/ can manage

There's a movement to the pose, you have a general sense of the light, line quality and selection of details don't detract from how you can read the form. It's presumably relatively accurate to the model.

It's nothing god-tier but compare it to the stuff in the /beg/ and draw threads, it's easily better than the vast majority of posts. It's not a high bar, but we manage to trip over it daily, so here we are.

do what I do.
take pictures through people's windows in the middle of the night
>>
>>3133344
That drawings better though
>>
>>3131859 this is an average piece with its pros and cons.
Overall proportions and outline line quality well done, nice hair treatment.
Odd tangent knee/armpit. Hand passable point finger too thick. Foot: heel/achilles poor. Calf shading fucked. Highlights do not follow set rule, some straight, some contour. Asscrack not believable and surface detail shes sitting on is poor.
The vertical shading starting points are darker than rest of the line which detracts from the style
