Does anyone here attend an atelier, has anyone here. General opinions on the atelier education system itt.
its great so worth it!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX0MrnzBJ8M This video talks a lot about ateliers, and it's just good to watch
I take classes here & there, but I love it. I have been with my teachers for years & I still try out new ones. Also, way cheaper with less bullshit.
Hey, I've been messing around with digital art? Critique? I'll spam a few of my newest stuff.
I am interested in buying a pack of tutorials from a website (pic related) but don't want to pay the full price.
I want to share the cost but there's no one in my class interested in footwear design (it's a generalist product design degree).
Where can I gather some people who want to do it? CGPersia has group buys from time to time, but I'm not an active user and apparently you have to be approved by a mod to start a group buy thread.
If any of you is interested in it, I am open to share the cost with at least 3 other people and share it with them via some file hosting site, but finding a well known place to do a group buy would be ideal.
The tutorials are the footwear design combo pack from Renderdemo. The total runtime is more than 21 hours, which is great, but I don't have that kind of money.
why not try requesting the pack on cgpeers, maybe someone already bought it.
Ask your mother and her husband to buy it for you
My college blows and none of my peers are interesting so I don't have any inspiration. I'm finishing up my third year. I'm being starved artistically.

Why is your new work worse than your old work? What is this face collage shit even?
>none of my peers are interesting
What does this mean? Do you think you're some kind of a special snowflake?
>>2518002
Judging by the content of his gallery I would say he really does
I've been using PRO for a while and CSP has been great. Played around with animation just now and loved the feature, I'm thinking of purchasing the EX upgrade so there is no frame limit. I've never used other animation softwares so I don't know how good CSP is compared to them. What are your thoughts of CSP-EX as an animation tool, and if you own CSP-EX, how regularly do you use the EX-exclusive features?
I think this program is worth, it one of the drawing app I have ever used.

its not supposed to be holding the spear at that angle
how the hell is the spear handle in front of her if the angle of her hand would have it be behind her?
Battle station thread.
I'm thinking about getting a small desk to use instead of my shitty hand me down computer desk.

Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Any recommendations for a quality, cost efficient light table? I'm trying not to go near the $100 range, but it seems like everything with good brightness and a decently sized screen is gonna cost me.
I found a $30ish light table on amazon from AGPtek with good reviews, but it seems suspicious.
You could always make one of your own if you have the supplies. All you need is some glass (real or plexi). To get the opaque light use a white sheet underneath or shave the glass with sand paper. Lights are dirt cheap. The frame itself can be as simple or as advanced as you like.

Shit man bump for interest, I was just looking this up. I don't think that it could be that complicated to make one. All it is is a piece of glass with a light bulb behind it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maZ--40ZA60 Here's a pretty cool one.
I have this. Super bright. Itsa verah goud.
Maybe a bit expensive - and I couldn't seem to find it on amazon.com so idk

Hi /ic/, How about you think this character?
something that can do better?
no it's perfect
>>2516211
Really good character 10/10
>>2516211
Yo, I just started drawing and look for any sites where people could rate my drawings and give me tips. I know ratemydrawings.com but there are fancy artsy works, I need something more basic lol, anyone?
picrel
>>2519558
How about /ic/?
Also how about you look at the sticky first before you post, then you'd know this stuff belongs in the beginner thread.
The perspective in your drawing is off and there are some inconsistencies. At least you have an idea about values, which is good, but I'd advise you to go even darker. What pencils are you using?
>>2519722
this thread is bait
>>2519827
why do you think so?
When does design go overboard and into fetish territory?
