How do you guys like it? Scale of 1-10. Any criticism? Would love to hear feedback.

I want summer to end.
I've been doing Loomis exercises for a little over six months. When I compare how I began to my stuff right now I see no difference whatsoever; both of them look like they were made by a child-like retard and blunder the point of the exercise in the exact same way. And these are simple exercises like the blook stuff.
I don't comprehend how to improve. What do I do when my ability to learn is this bad?
>>2546062
Maybe Loomis isn't for you then. Please don't fall for the meme, his exercises don't work for everyone.
Have you tried drawing from life? Or tried copying your favourite artists style?
>>2546065
>copying your favourite artists style
I can copy stuff alright, but it comes out warped and not anything like the original. Sometimes it's so bad that I can't possibly make it look like the original and I try turning it into something else.
>>2546069
maybe it's a problem of you not being able to see ratios right yet.
the basic drawing videos here might help you:

Wait, people actually have jobs? I thought it was just a meme

I am the Art Critic. Come forth and show me your art and I'll tell you what's shit about it and what you should improve on.

Prove it.
>>2526905
ok show me what you've been working on and I'll tell you what's shit and what you should improve on
>>2526906
Not that guy, but I'm always open to some criticism. I'm aware of my skills and the lack of it, so I'd appreciate if you wouldn't be an asshole about it and be straigh.
Let's see what you can do in max 10 minutes
This is awful
>>2545823
Quit your bitching and draw.
>>2545808
At least set a topic or theme for these type of threads. If I knew what to draw right now I wouldn't be wasting time on /ic/.
Let me see what you got

While I don't support the 'hurr durr ur gey if u dnt loomis gud enuff' garbage this place idolizes, you're gonna need to go Loomis for a bit. B[[

You're OK, but try to keep improving.

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, rock on more shoujos!

WHY ARE THESE SKINNY LINES SO HARD
>>2537449
i'm just a beginner but in reality is a shit ton of short strokes and CTRL+Z
I learned by watching live streams of artists on nico live
>>2537449
also i personally prefer using a soft point brush for lineart
your lines are far too neat imho
If it's in your sketchbook, it belongs in this thread.

Requesting interesting fashion designs for inspiration and reference.
I considered asking /fa/, but they're even bigger dicks than, well, d/ic/ks.
If someone's interested I can dump my fashion folder as well, it's really unorganized though.

Maybe? If google can't help you out, neither can I, since I got it from a previous reference thread as well. I'll dump for you what I have though,

I backed it. Hope the PDF doesn't have DRM baked in.
I would keep looking, but the flea market that I can order custom prints from is about to close soon so I'm here asking if anyone knows the art I'm looking for and if I don't order it by today it won't get here on time before the birthday of whom I'm planning to gift this to. I would just get a similar one, but she fell in love with this specific one. Any help would be much appreciated.
Been trying to find a specific print of their faces. It's very similar to this image, but the difference is, the only thing you can see is their faces with no bodies in a black background.
If I recall correctly, I don't believe you can see any of their hair either, just their faces in a geometric pattern in different colors.
Also, they all seem to be looking to the side rather than at the camera.
All of their signatures are next to their respective faces.
Haven't had any luck in Google, etc. searching for related terms so far.
I'm still looking, this one seems more similar to it. Just not in boxes, all black background and their faces are made out of triangles of different colors.
>>2545221
Getting closer
>>2545221
Found it, this is it, except the version of it I'm looking for is all artifacts into medium triangles to form their faces and all of their signatures are next to their faces.
What do you guys think of Manga studio 5?
>>2544621
Been using it for 3 years, pretty good PS alternative. Not as comprehensive as PS in terms of image editing/manipulation, but it's a solid art program. Pic related done in MS5.
>>2544621
I think manga studio's brush engine allows crisper and finer lineart than photoshop does. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
Hey I'm looking for puristic landscape drawings, preferably jungle setting, with alot of depth but without much details
I'm want to learn how I can abstract faraway trees, hills and mountains with only two colors
Two colors? Fuck, but you lose out in a lot of atmospheric depth.
Just by looking at the pic you uploaded, the artist used line weight. More detail in the front, less in the background. Emphasize what is in the foreground.
>>2544473
yes, but I dont like texturising with crosshatch, so I'm actually looking for little bit cleaner approaches.
not implying pic related is that but b&w forest sceneries are hard to find
>>2544479
Yeah, I was going to ask what did you mean by two colors. Ballpoint could be easier but I don't that's what you want to work with.
Honestly I hate to break it to you, but crosshatch and stippling might be the only two ways to go. The fact that the space between the lines create a tone; the more distance between the lines vs. the less distance and the cloudier it looks.
Did you want to work with grey scale? Or I mean a value scale? You could also try to outline with a thing white outline to keep the shapes in the distance.
