Dear 4chan, I would like to pay money for a picture of my two cats as a loli and shota. The grey cat is a loli, and the orange cat is a shota. The loli is very modest, curious, and is a bit spacey. The shota is aggressive, but cute, knows what it wants, and will push to get it.

no it's against the rules to ask for free work
>Requests for free work of any sort are forbidden.
Basically this would be a thread dedicated to giving beginner tips on drawing. I'll start off:
When studying a specific thing like hands, make sure you start by drawing from imagination first, that way you immediately know what things you need to focus on when doing the study.

Don't have too many cooks in the kitchen.
>>3088983
Awesome thread, thanks for making it! Nice advice, OP! I've never thought of that. It'll be very useful in my future studies.
I only have beginner-level advice.
>With arms at sides: the elbows align with the waist, wrists align with the crotch, and fingertips align with the middle of the thigh.
>If you're having trouble with stiff poses, first draw the hands and feet where you want them to go and then draw the rest of the body.
>If you're having trouble with making up poses, pick an action for your character to do then make them do it (ex. making tea, writing a letter, etc.).
>If you're having trouble with drawing too-large heads, first draw the rest of the body, starting with the torso or hips.
Are there any people here that procrastinate due to high level of stress in their lives? How do you deal with that?
With food.
That habit made me fat though so I'm trying to change things using exercise instead. People say it's good for relieving stress however I don't think I'm fit enough yet for it to be that, for the time being it's just painful and not much else.
>>3090126
procrastination is, i find, a coping mechanism for stress but a really bad one
theres something you have to do but it stresses you out. your body and mind value itself so much that it sees this 'bad feeling' as a greater threat than anything. so to make the bad feeling go away, we do a number of things from masturbation to eating.
but the 'need to make it' can become a really good motivator too. use it to draw and to constantly improve your drawings, and know that you need to be making it right now. if youre not feeling that stress, youre either just doing it to feel good or youre here on 4chan reading my post to escape.
people live with that stress all the time. you think the greats fart out their works just so you can look at it and feel like killing yourself? no way, thats your problem. they do it because the need to make it stressed them the fuck out so they had to act on it. and they did. which is why you know their names.
sorry, im on break. just got my coffee. good luck.
>>3090126
I don't deal with my stress anymore, tried different shits - I tried so hard and got so far but in the end it doesn't even matter - still having nerves issue, shaking hands, dermatitis, lack of focus, shitty memory. Instead I'm currently changing my circumstances: most of my stress comes from my shitty work, so I'm searching for ways to automate my tasks as much as possible. Minimal goal is to free myself from the stress, high goal is to free at least an hour at work to read books on my Laptop. Next time please post in the General Questions&Answers thread instead of creating your own. This is one of the reasons why /ic/ catalog is a mess at the moment. Thanks and good luck.

Are there any websites with posable models similar to this? Preferably online programs
Try Photoshop
>>3089702
If you're looking to do sculpture use should use zbrush or poser
>>3089734
>>3089790
Are you actually making an effort to not understand what the OP asked for?
He is asking for something like design doll, usable online without any downloads, possibly more robust when...
>>3089702
Sadly I don't know about any online programs that do that (wish I did tho), but yeah, Poser and Daz3D is your go to for offline.
How do I get rich as an artist

Delete this thread. The Deletefairy will leave a penny in your bed tonight.
make porn. i dont mean draw porn i mean get yourself a dslr, a bottle of water based lube, a tripod and a thick bad dragon dildo. you WILL be needing to shove things up your ass if you want to make it big in this world, it's just the way it works. start with just a finger and work your way up to the dildo. best of luck, anon. dont give up.

Is this an artist you follow or a kind of art style you like?
I am a begginer and I was wondering when could I learn how to draw on youtube or other sites.Preferably something that could hold my hand from the very basic things to the more advanced.I tried to look for courses but there are none in my city.I am mostly interested in realism and for what I ve sow on yt most drawing channels are about manga. Also could you give me some basic tips or tricks? Thanks in advance

The sticky has everything you need.
Get to work anon
Hi, OP, >>3089715 is right. We have two Sticky explaining the situation you're in, OP. You'll find a link to them right here:

If you post in the Questions General Thread, we'll also answer your other questions if you have any.
Please take notice tha it's considered in bad taste here to make a single thread for a single basic question like yours - and I'm being much more polite on that subject that the average denizen of the board.
even a fuckin ghost can draw better anatomy than me
>>3089662
well the ghost would probably study some anatomy and not just thrown down random scribbles on a canvas and hope for it to turn out fine

Is one of the keys to great rendering to put an extreme amount of tiny details to things most people will not even see up close anyway? I've noticed artists like Ruan Jia and another chink i'm pretty fond of do this.. I was master studying one of their works and noted having to zoom in and add details to several things i would have given very little thought to. Pic related is the toes of a Bouguereau painting.
>>3088399
and here's the painting those toes came from.
is that all there is to it? probably not.
i think its best to still think of it as layers on layers of different processes. oversimplifying things before you actually achieve them can hurt your pride real bad
>>3088399
Those toes aren't even that detailed, but the little bit of information that is there is really precise
I cannot believe this is even acceptable in the art world, not only that but incredibly profitable! Shouldn't art have some standers relative to the quality of the craft? It seems now that all that matters is how good of an advertiser/huckster you are, convincing people that a literal blank canvas is something to be impressed by despite minimal to zero effort and or craftsmanship going into it.
>>3087555
>calls it modern art
Sounds like you've done your research
>>3087555
no, mind your own business.
>>3087555
welcome to post Warhol culture. actual art still exists but you have to actually know something to distinguish the fake Warhol/ abstracts from the real.
imo, art has fractured into some separate categories (note: i haven't put much effort into revising this list)
-design aesthetic/ advertising themes (logos, patterns, slashes of color on canvas incorrectly dubbed 'abstracts')
-positivism art (ppl that treat art creation as a mathematical process. identifiable by the value they place on realism, perspective, anatomical correctness.)
-expressive art (arguably the only true visual artform that ties together visual aspects like form and aesthetic within a coherent composition.)
-actual abstracts.
-illustration (comic drawings and mindless rendering, which overlap a bit with positivism art.)
Do any of you meditate before drawing? Shit's nice.
I'm assuming there are a lot of skeptics and to that I say do some reasearch you fucking normies.
>>3086344
If you don't meditate you're ngmi
>>3086344
I exhaust myself and try to stay awake for long as possible to keep away the bad thoughts, does that count?
>>3086358
Depends on if you're focusing on your breath as you relive your past traumas.
Let's say I hang this randomly into an art gallery, how many people would mistake it for actual art instead of my random waste of paint?
>>3084401
You're one of those "All art is bad so I make bad art" artists. Wow. Very meta. I'm sure you'll be very successful.
>>3084401
You'll get a few dipshits who will pass by and nod like they understand it. Nobody will buy it. Nobody will remember it.
Read a book.
