or just scrap the whole thing and draw a monkey on a yellow bg
there are no rules really
I love it as it is.
Good job, anon.

We usually just call that a collab thread.
how do I start colouring like this?
I use paint tool sai so I was wondering if I needed to set me brushes up so I can get this kind of effect the image has.
>>2591434
master study.
>>2591434
does a pantyhose like garment for the full arm/hand/presumably torso area and maybe lower body like in this piece exist in real life... or is this just fantasy?
>>2591459
they are real
Well?
>>2555449
Really shit, I grew right during the transition period were schools stop caring about penmanship and more towards typing.

Anyone live in any 3rd world countries here doing commissions? I was considering visiting family in Africa and to live comfortably I'd only need to make $300 a month.
I'm not making any money on commissions now, just asking for future reference.
>>2587919
That solely depends on your skill level, it doesn't matter where you're taking commissions from, as long as you have internet to be able to upload your work. $300 a month is very achievable; but again it depends on your current work.
>family in Africa
>>2587919
Just a heads up.
Not sure if it applies to you, but starting up a commission business has shown to be a lot slower than I though it would be, so you might wanna start ahead and get to a stable work flow before you consider moving.
I have a small fanbase and though the commissions would be flowing in once I opened, but apart from friends, it's very dead, getting enough exposure can take some time and work I guess.
Best of luck to you though, 300 a month seems like it would be a breeze once you get you name out there if you are an ok artist.

Lol thanks for fucking up my squidman
Speaking of squid porn I'm looking for advice to help me make this skin-tight anti-gravity geek-boy shota the best request art anyone's ever gotten.
Any pointers, comments, or noticed flaws?
Just started a short comic. I don't know what I'm doing but I'm gonna do it any way. Crit would be nice. Thank you.
If you were someone who commissions other artists, who would you pick?
you can pick anyone, but price would still apply if they are famous.

How dead I am?
you bad very are
The arm looks so thin, even if the arm blade is doing downwards its still to thin
>>2583371
Disagree. I think the thin arms give it more character than the photo would have otherwise. Very generic with """"correct"""" proportions.

Hey lads, do you think this sort of style would work for a comic?
How can I further improve my lines? (I plan to add some easy colours later)
>>2590095
Very cute anon, reminds me a bit of some of Bones' stuff for some reason. Looks pretty solid to me, I like your lines too.
>>2590104
forgot to add, work on your fucking hands please.
Tattoo artists say that if you want to tattoo you need years of practice and need to make a career out of it.
I am more interested in painting canvases and working as a graphic designer and I am not convinced.

Looks like a Honda CRX.
Is there any advantage in going to art school if you are a heavily motivated and productive learner on your own? I'm 25 already. :/
I want to know if I should shell out $40,000 over 4 years or just learn it all by myself online, likely still paying a few grand for the premium stuff and tools.
Do you have a good free museum near you? If so, you could go there very often and study there instead.

I didnt go to art school til I was 26... I don't regret a day of it. You'd be surprised how many older students there are. That being said, my answer is yes, go to art school
Are there any stories of artists who worked hard, I mean really putting their heads to the grindstone type stuff? I want to be inspired by hearing about people busting their asses to make it. Pic not related

Read Bakuman, its a loosely biographical piece of the authors of Death Note.

Kakukaku Shikajika
An autobiography by a successful mangaka. There's some "nose to the grindstone" stuff in later chapters, but it's mainly a cautionary tale of the mistakes you make early in life. Lots of inspiring stuff.
Hi I'm a total newbie here just got myself a used Wacom Bamboo CTH-470.
I probably already said something to piss everyone off, but oh well.
I'm just gonna take some time to see what kind of drawings I can do with little to no instruction. So I'm not asking for tips on getting started. I know there is a sticky that probably has all of that.
My question is: When drawing with the tablet it won't start creating the line or move the cursor until I have moved a minimum amount. Is there a way to fix this or is that just how digital drawing is/because its a cheap tablet? Because it makes fine details pretty fucking difficult.
I had that same problem before but I don't remember how I solved it. However I did find something relevant.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_BYCcX0CuM
I'd recommend googling "wacom tablet pen delay" and poking around there to see what works for you.
Best of luck
>>2590487
>he could have paid like $60 more and got a Huion Giano (i.e. easily the second best conventional tablet currently available) instead of Wacom's shittiest
Could what you're describing be a software problem? I have something like the opposite of that happen in Krita for example. After I am done making a stroke the cursor pauses for a second and then snaps to where it's supposed to be. Consider trying out a different brand of trial software (you did say "when drawing" though so that implies that it isn't happening outside of whatever software you're using) and make sure you disable all of windows' touch bullshit.

>>2588664
>Realize I could have learned it all in two days
I really doubt that
How do I develop my discipline /ic/?
do two hours next 12 days
push yourself
>>2588675
That was the plan.
I was going to do 1:30
Then 2 hours after that
The main issue is keeping my sanity between working in construction and drawing 2 hours a day.
>>2588675
I really don't want to burn out, but I don't want to limit myself and progress slowly.
I'm looking to have a tattoo done(around 8 inches tall), but the image I want doesn't exist.
I want an image of a female angel in metal armor, with an hourglass in her hand.
She could either be sitting like the middle right pose, or standing with a spear in her opposite hand.
I don't want to comission an artist before the work is made, because I don't want to pay for something I may hate. If anyone know of an image, or wants to make one, I'd love them forever. I'd be willing to pay for it provided I get to see it first
not that i am proposing that i indulge you in your degenerate attention whoring activities.
>I'd be willing to pay for it provided I get to see it first
what stops you from runing off with my hard labor ?
>>2586089
>i want free shit
sure bro ill get right on it
Why would I pay for something that could turn out complete garbage? I guess you'd just have to trust me. If I wanted to pay ahead of time, I'd go to a real artist who've I've already talked to, not ask random strangers on the internet.
>>2586151
And if I pay first, what stops you from running off with my money? Same question, equally stupid
>>2586170
I'll pay for it if I use it, but why would I pre pay for garbage? I already know an artist who would want me to prepay, and I know her work is good. Thing is, she doesn't charge by the job, she charges by the indivual drawing, meaning I'd have to pay for any I didn't like.
