Here's the reference
>>
>>2618489
Step 1-Look at the image
Step 2-Replicate it

It's not that hard. You're not going to get the hair right using that brush btw but it's okay.

Your painting isn't bad at all it just needs more work, you're doing good.

Hey /ic/! What do you guys use to share/showcase/promote your artwork?

Tumblr? DeviantArt? Some other stuff I never heard of?
I really been out of touch with the community since I been focused on coding/learning the software but want to be able start getting my name out there as I get better

I use tumblr, but I don't really have much of a following. I do the drawing for fun mainly.

You're drawings are awesome, + I like the starwars background. Got any tips for tumblr?

Using tags can be handy. If your drawings are related to a popular series, tag the series in your posts and people are bound to find them. Submitting to fandom blogs is also helpful. Glad to hear you like my stuff, it means a lot.

(sorry if this comes out shitty, i'll try my best to be coherent)

so i have been interested in /ic/ and /gd/ related things since high-school but lately there seems to be a shift in passions. I'm fulled invested in trying to git gud with my art but i'm starting to shun graphic design related stuff (you know that kid in your highschool class who would ask the teacher ''when am i going to use this in real life'' when ever the math would get to much for him/her?, thats how i feel when i attempt to practice any graphic design these days) the thing is that i can't drop /gd/ completely. i have an ominous feeling inside me that i'm going to need it in the future but i don't know if i'm paranoid or justified. when i git gud enough i know i'll switch to digital art, and i'm planning on hosting a website in the future and that will probably need some /gd/, but is that it? can someone on /ic/ tell me how much /gd/ an artist needs in, or at what times and in what situations an artist would have to use it, or am i just stupid and wasting a thread?

When someone says they work 40 hours a week they don't account for breaks, plus Feng says some students study for 16 hours or more a lnd they have to take breaks at least a few times a day

Why is it so fucking hard to find references for clothing drapery? There are dozens of books you can get with people in the nude or tight-fitting clothing in a huge variety of poses, but there doesn't seem to be any serious resources for more substantial costumes. Why can't I find a book of people photographed in costume? There has to be a market for such a thing.

Hi everyone, I'm in a huge lack of inspiration right now. I just made an acrylic background, and I absolutly don't know what to put on it...
Anybody's got an idea of what I could paint?

idk if anyone here can help you with that
i would say go see a movie youve been wanting to see, or read a book, or play a game
you wont get inspired by sitting waiting for inspiration

Well, what do you usually paint?

The tanks looks ok but the forest in the background looks like garbage and the mud under the tanks could also do some work. How do you draw a good forest while still following the rules of a polandball comic?

>>
Keep it abstract. Don't draw trunks and trees, just a vague lumpy shape along the horizon.

Show the surface of the road with round blobs getting smaller with distance.

Fade things in the background. The further away they are, the paler and less saturated they should be.

Make the tanks themselves look more like the polandball style. Use outlines and lose details. You don't need to see the engine vents or turret brackets.
>>
>>2616739
Dont think of trees as contours, think of them as different assortments of values.
