Lineart Is unapealling
Coloring Is flat
Hiding Is an obvious sign that you have problems drawing them
>As you guys might be aware, Nintendo of America has been doing copyright claims on hentai fanart of their IPs here on tumblr. Nintendo has been stingy with copyright for a while on various places, that’s no news. So I’ll have to stop drawing Nintendo fanart. That means no more Metroid, Pokemon, Zelda, all that jazz. I removed any previous drawings I could find of those properties from my main blog (I’ll also be purging the tags and removing them from my side blogs soon). You can always find those works on Dan/Gelbooru, Sankaku or whatever – they are not gone from the Internet.
What the fuck Nintendo.

Doesn't Nintendo only have certain publishing right's to pokemon?
Since Pokemon Go isn't related to Nintendo, stockholders thought it was and invested before checking.

BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!
What do you think about this painting?
It's huge, it's from Mexico. Supposedly super expensive, done by one of the best painters in Mexico. At least that's what the rich guy told me about the painting.
So, what do you think?

Is there some website i can just browse through pictures of females (nude and non-nude) for the purpose of references?
Ive been using idol.sankakucomplex but 90% of the shit there isnt tagged properly so its not good for when im looking for specific stuff and i dont even mean very specfic, there are like 3 results for when you search for something as simple as "bending over"
Also used pinterest for a bit but its shit

Wow if only this board had a STICKY you could READ that had artist resources like this.
Get a gf.
How did the artists make energy affects look all bright and glowy? I remember watching it back in the 90s trying to figure out how they made things shiny but never figured it out.
It's true, they looked so fucking boss
No anime in the last 20 years has done this effect

Well I wouldn't be able to tell.
Looking for pictures/drawings of a spider crawling out from under the skin. For some reason can not find on the internet...
>>2618703
Simply because spiders don't do shit like that
>>2618710
Nobody has ever touched fingers with god either, but there's plenty of pics and drawings of it.
>>2618713
Maybe you're the only person in the history of humankind that have prejudice of that level towards spiders, thinking that they're capable of freaky nightmare stuff

My vote goes to Theo Prins.

Not his speciality but Ruan Jia
>>2617963
Would be cool to see him paint a naturalistic landscape without his trademark surrealistic stage lighting.
>>2617963
Is there anything he can't do?
Hey guys, I don't usually post here, so sorry if I did something wrong but can you guys tell me if I'm good enough for art school?
>>2618056
No because the jews that control art schools have rigged the system.
Go back to bed Adolf
I've seen your other stuff. Why not consider our architectural school?
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (also images shouldn't come out accidentally sideways with this method)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

What is your preference for drawing tablets?
I was looking at a Huion 680TF because of my price range, but I'm sure you experts here could give some good info on your own personal experience of different brands and models.
i've had an intuos 3 for a long ass time
pros:
- super sensitive. i get great lines
- best pen imo. good grip + weight and no battery required
- decent price if you get it pre-owned, probably around 100-200$
- good amount of buttons, not too many but not too little that it's like useless
cons:
- older model so some newer animation programs may not work like toonboom harmony 12
- annoying little touch sliders on both sides that i dont really use but you might find use in them idk

My bamboo broke :<
I recently bought an intous pro m and I like it a lot.
>>2570131
I've only tried the Wacom brands. I tried bamboo, Intuos, and Cintiq (I think 21ux).
Any of the Intuos are fine. They're much smoother and sensitive than Bamboo, but you shouldn't notice much different between the two lines if you're just painting. For lineart, I would get an Intuos. Any non-screen tablets beyond Intuos3 has negligible perks not worth paying extra for IMO, especially if you're not an industrial professional. If you're a decent artist the tool doesn't have to be extremely precise. A lot of great indie artists and animators use the cheap bamboo line. If you ever want to upgrade, do it when you get better and save up via commissions.
I sold all my tablets and stuck with a small Intuos2 for over ten years. It's definitely built to last and it works great. It didn't give me the "upgrades" (extra headache) that often come with newer models, just the basics.
