Do you consider colouring pencils to be childish?
What do you use?
To me it doesn't matter what they say on the box it still feels like I'm a little kid drawing with crayon and it'll be stuck up on the fridge
Nothing I do with them feels correct
I don't know any alternative
>>2665352
drawing with colored pencils is very pleasant
Of course not.
I like them for quick sketches. A more opaque pencil like Derwent's Drawing goes great on toned paper. Build a small color palette out of individual pencils rather than a fuckhueg tin and see what you can do with them.

I use a black pencil crayon to draw instead of a regular pencil sometimes. It goes to a deeper and richer black, it doesn't smudge as much, it doesn't have that silvery shininess that pencil has, and it has a waxy smoothness that feels nice as you draw with it. It's exceptionally nice on moleskine paper but I use it in regular sketchbooks too.
Do you ever reconsider your goal to become and artist?
>>2665080
not gonna make it
>>2665080
Nope, it's my biggest passion and i wont stop until I can make a living doing what i love.
No, i have nothing to lose
I'm not sure what kind of style I'm going for, but I like this one a lot, any Critiques ? (I know I suck at drawing Beanies, and other hats)
I like the colors, man.

it's not a meme, it's a fact

Give her big gigantic titties, thicker lips, some buckteeth and braces and you've got something good
When did the magic die for you, /ic/?
I've been fucking its corpse for three years, hoping it will do something.
Every time I try to draw for more than 1 hour.
luckily never .
What does /ic/ think of GIMP?
>>2666245
bare bones photoshop. It's biggest sin is not having good brushes, if you are going to use it you need to customize the shit out of it
> https://www.gimp.org/tutorials/
> http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10283 (Topic: pressure sensitive in gimp)
> docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-using-brushes.html (Adding New Brushes)
> deviantart.com/browse/all/resources/applications/gimpbrushes/?order=9&offset=0 (GIMP brushes)
But unless you are /g/, you are not going to enjoy doing it. Go for krita if you want a free/open-source alternative, go for photoshop if you just want photoshop, go for gimp id you enjoy your /g/ niche experimenting with shit, go for one of the 471264246 programs for drawing if you just want a drawing software (sketch autodesk, corel painter, etc)
>>2666245
Krita is better for painting and drawing than GIMP.
Can this shit get popularity?
if you post it enough anything can happen
>>2668727
Can you anons reshare it?
also i got it from here https://plus.google.com/communities/105591524939580607518
General graffiti thread. Ill start with my favorite
Critique please (wip)
It's nice. The colors are epic. I gotta say man, I like it, I like it a lot.
>>2668566
Do you really? Thanks! (:
Does the bottom half read okay? Like can you tell what the charcoal drawing is of? Or do I need to re-approach it if I want it to be readily identifiable?
>>2668577
It's a pair of smoked sausages and some greens, right, anon?

I made some things editing photos. What do you think?

LMAOing at your lives, Conceptart.org was the promised land, Elysium. Legitimately good professional artists would critique your work and have god tier discussions about every single aspect of art and it's creation, there is LITERALLY nothing even comparable nowadays.
random smug thread?
Really good, notorious artists didn't post that much. In fact I don't think I ever saw a triple A artist give an in depth criticism on there. You just thought they were top tier because you were young and easily impressionable.
>ca
>not being around sijun during the early years when spoogedemon gave you indepth crits
Best places to put up my art for others to see? I used DeviantArt a few years ago but that website has gone to shit so I'm looking at alternatives.
Being able to upload NSFW stuff would be great too, thanks.
It's the only worthwhile use for tumblr
>>2667039
Lots of people use instagram now. Only active decent sites I've seen are geared toward furries so you can either intermingle (some allow normal art too) or hopefully someone here has a better suggestion. Conceptart is still active if you're serious but hard to get critiques if you're not a master already.

Lemme get this right. The best way to learn anatomy is to do a million drawings using reference/pose photos.
Anatomy books/etc don't seem to help me much. Why I don't know.
Also, should I be doing a still life every day?
I'm dead set on improving but for some reason proko/vilppu/etc don't seem to help for squat. Along with all of these other books/resources I have.
>>2666560
/ic/ recommends The Strucuture of Man by Riven Pheonix. Highly regarded study material by pros alike and for those completely clueless to anatomy.
>>2666564
lol, no

Even for trolling this is going too far. You can permanently fuck someone up.
