Its shit
i want to get into watercolouring but with a macabre vibe, this is my first effort, what can i do to improve?
>>2700349
Everything. Start with not symbol drawing and learning how to properly draw planes of the head.
>>2700356
alright
Does anybody know what style of art this is and where I can learn more about the techniques?
>>2699784
pop culture.
moebius wannabe no.10054
>>2700222
Didn't think of Moebius at all when I saw this and I'm a huge Moebius fan.
This is a small thread I created for the anons so they can get quick answers for their doubts in their art studies; as opposed to making one thread on said doubt, that's gonna get two replies and then get archived.
I have a doubt then,
>Should I go to "Figure Drawing" by Loomis as opposed to Fun with a Pencil? The /ic/ guide suggests it but I feel its too basic and somewhat misconstructed in terms of giving actual advice. Used the book twice (one because my actual school made the class use it in 7th grade and another because my art school suggested it), its very basic and I learned a bit more from Bridgman as opposed to this book.
Anyone knows how to draw anything below the knees, my thighs are okay but everytime I try to draw legs, it ends up looking like the guy has elephantitis.

Also OP, you have to post all this shit that nobody reads otherwise it's not an og draw thread. Do you want society to break down? Because this how it starts.

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one and then hug a kitten for good luck.

What do you listen to while you draw?
Whatever song I'm into atm. rn it's Lucian ft. Kid Coyote "Down The Middle".
Doesn't matter, as long as it is familiar background noise.
>>2675512
Ambient game music. It makes me focus on stuff without getting distracted by words.
Or French house sometimes.
Strictly traditional graphite/pen/graphite drawing, no painting. A color here or there is okay, like if it's colored pencil. I'll start us off.
half-rendered processy stuff is top points btw
>>2696012
>half-rendered processy stuff is top points btw
that is, as long as it's real real GUD
Post music you're currently listening to/usually listen to while drawing

Why is Susumu Hirasawa so good?

Funny you should mention him, because I was going to post this anyway.

Such an amazing voice. Sometimes I forget it's a language I don't speak.
I've never experienced Berserk, but I've already been so influenced by it through its successors and predecessors. I think I'm ready to take the plunge and find my missing link. Any recommendations on where to start? The manga, the old anime or the new anime?
>>2695074
The manga, all the way.

anyone else remember vinnie veritas?
his art/animations haven't progressed in ten fucking years
>>2697278
Whats your point?
>>2697278
This is proof that talent exists, and if you don't have it you're never gonna make it no matter how long you practice.
Is there anybody even remotely close to Kim Jung Gi's level?
>>2700076
calm down, hes just a cartoonist.
At giant ink drawings? No
>>2700076
What's the overall composition supposed to be?
If it's just a bunch of smaller pictures thrown together then what's the point? What's being accomplished?
I need your help /ic/
For the last year i had drawing classes with this really cool guy, but the problem is that all of his paintings/drawings are just copies from photographs.
We never use guidelines or learn about any kind of proportions.
It really helped me to read shapes and is a really good method to work with models, but i don't know if i should keep learning with him, because creative drawing is basically a no-no.
Should i drop the classes and learn from Vilppu or do i keep having the classes?
Pic related, it's a quick drawing done through his methods
(I did this drawing btw)
>>2698030
Post his work.
>>2698030
Probably. Either way you've been with him for a year, if you don't feel like you're getting enough then it's time to try something different.
