shoo shoo gains goblin
Actually this is about it
about 2-3 years ago there used to be a web site called CGHub and it held (I think weekly) challenges where people voted for a topic to draw/paint and then drew it and then there was a poll to decide who wins.
Is there still something like that going on somewhere on the internets? I searched on google but I didnt find much. Except for one or two forums where the quality of the contributors was on a really professional level. Im looking for something more beginner oriented. CGHub was really good at this. Pity they shut it down.
Does anybody know some good alternatives?
>>2712290
Start a strawpoll, make a thread, ban all dragons and space marines, and you've got yourself a start.
>>2712290
I think most of those challenges switched over to facebook groups. There's a bunch that are daily, some are weekly or monthly though. I don't really take part or pay attention to them though so maybe some other anon can chime in with specific names of groups.
>>2712297
that would be great.. i was actually thinking about FB being a good potential platform for this kinda shit.
Gyrostasis (1968) by Robert Smithson
that's stupid as shit, its literally two different spirals
>>2712063
that's not really a riddle, it just comes down to being a pedantic fuck about it
I bought one of these for $95 when they were new. It's a 3D total male planar model. I wanted to sell it. If anyone's interested please email me at rdnin98 at gmail for half of the price I paid.
Do you guys use models? Are they helpful for you?
It looks kind of cool but it seems silly that a planar model is as expensive as a highly detailed ecorche which otherwise serves basically the same function. I don't know man, I'd almost rather have the ecorche at full price than this at half. Also to be honest I'd highly recommend selling this face to face with someone on craigslist. There's no oversight here and you could easily get screwed or conversely could screw someone else. It's not worth it.
I'll give you $4.
>>2711770
Isn't the poit of ecorche to make it yourself?
>when someone gives you a redline thats so good they pretty much did all the work for you
>all thats left now is to trace over it
>>2711261
>here's how you catch a fish, hopefully you can do it on your own now
>thanks I'll just eat that fish you caught to show me, I wasn't really paying attention when you did it
>>2711263
Its hard to concentrate when youre hongree

If you can't draw, draw twice as much.
>its about the idea mannnnnn
why arent you spray painting a color onto a canvas, saying its about global capitalism, then selling it to some jew so he can launder his money yet?
I'm not famous.

Bring us your roughs, your storyboards, your pencil tests etc. Talk about industry, schools, the hopelessness of it all, how we all gonna make it etc.
If you're gonna post animation that isn't yours give source or state that it isn't yours.
Keep shitposting to a minimum. Don't feed the trolls.

Simpsons isn't animu
>>2701247
Nothing wrong with that, animu has the best animation after all
Are you up to the challenge /ic/? Pick one or do them all, but you must try to do your best figure invention using these as a base.
Test your skills in construction and anatomy!
>>2687360
I realized people may be confused on how to do this, so I did one as an example. There's also that image by Krenz that is in the OP of another thread that was the inspiration for this.
Don't be scared to participate, it should be fairly quick to do each one, maybe 5 to 20 minutes, and all skill levels are welcome.
>>2687360
I'm a new cunt but I tried anyway.
>>2687390
I like your brush work and lines! Nice pic!

Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (also images shouldn't come out accidentally sideways with this method)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
