Does any d/ic/k have refs of obese people from a slightly lower angle?

<< Like this

I ll start with my question, should you reblog other people's artwork on your own art blog? Even if they are 100x better than yours and makes your stuff look like shite?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>2714659
I think it depends of what you want from your blog
Do you want it to be more like a portfolio so that people who saw one of your pics were able to browse your other works quickly? Then no, don't reblog anything ever there. Keep reblogs and everything that is not your art for your personal blog.

If you want to keep it more casual and personal? Then sure, reblog, answer questions and do text posts.
>>
>>2714659
if it´s used to make a point, sure.

but always comparing yourself to best of the best is tiring, unfair and they didnt get there in the time you´ve been doing content so its just wrong to think "am i official blizzard concept artist level good yet"

hell it took years for them so give yourself a chance
>>
make two tumbly, one art only, one with regular reblogs and more social things on top of reblogging your own posts from your art only blog

the people who only want the art an nothing else get what they want, the people who want your reblogs and etc on top of your art posts only have to follow one blog, bingo bango bongo, everyone wins

(also put obvious links back n forth between them on the side bar so they know what's up)

Drawing what you like.
Stop doing 100% studies and do like 50% studies 50% drawing what you like.

You can even do study by copying good artists you like, if you don't copy it mindlessly, you will learn a lot of thing and you will have more fun. You like Eva so DL an artbook from Sadamoto or Yoshinari and study their drawings, just do the same thing you would do with a photo reference, and try to think what they are doing as artists themselves, what do they do that you don't do the same way. "Did Sadamoto make the arm that long? I wouldn't do that, but it seems better"

Good luck.

What's the best way to take a pencil sketch, and "fill it out" so that it doesn't look like a pencil sketch anymore?

I'm having a bitch of a time with GIMP working on this crap (no tablet... fml).
9 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
im not expert on this but i think a tool called vector tool and using stabilizers
>>
i would also be interested in hearing about this if anyone has ideas on it. usually i keep the original pencil lines if they are nice enough, or go over them in pen.i usually do a few cleanup runs before being done with the pencil/inked line, then scan in and just darkening the pencil lines with the level adjust to be solid black.my scanner makes the resolution of the picture very large so then i re-size the pixels to lower which makes them look like a solid line again.. then converting it to a multiply layer and making all the filling in under the multiply layer.
>>
>>2709643
Actually, the original of this is full body and is over 200mb because I used the highest setting on our scanner. The one I'm editing is only 500kb :p

Hello there.
Im here to offer you guys an opportunity. Im an enthustiastic writer, and im looking for someone to illustrate a comic book. I have the whole thing written off, and im willing to pay 10 U.S dollars for page.
BUT, I need someone who can draw detailed backgrounds. It doesnt need to be that much realistic, since its a comic, but it needs to be clean.
Leave a email or some way to contact you, and a picture of some work you did(something that has a background, please).
Thanks.

No, that would get me too much spam from people not good enough for what I want.
You leave your email, I see if you fit what I need and if you do I email you.
It can be a 10 minute mail or something like that.

We regulars like to call that "practice". Spruce it up with fancy millennial talk all you want, there's no "get gud fast in 3 easy steps" in the real world.

What kind? Like the on in the comic? Yes, nobody cares about my shitty art. I do it because it makes me happy, and I feel that I am actually doing something productive with my life. Even though in the end it is a road leading nowhere.
>>
That logic litterally works for anything in the world.
>>
>>2714815
If you mean perspective as in not making your drawings look like the average medieval paintings then no, but I would appreciate it if you set me on the right foot to practice perspective
