Does anyone have this book in .pdf can share it?

artbook thread has it.
>>2754582
I'm reading it now, it resonates deeply with me.
What are your thoughts?
>Tutoring art-book
>lesson: Basically do pic related
What do /ic/, is not giving me enough instructions but it doesn't feel right to just skip it.
>>2752689
Stop looking for step by step instructions to symbol draw your way through a portfolio and draw from life you fucking wuss.
What's the book?
Also most of the time when you see stuff like pic related it just cuts out the "render it", because if you detailed every part of the rendering it'd take fucking forever and if you don't understand construction and skip to renedering it'll look shit anyway.
Honestly of this one the first four are all you need for you to comprehend how to get an owl on paper, the rest is rendering.
just draw you stupid shit
do you think artists had step by step instructions 400 years ago
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new (and cleaner) sticky in town! You can see it at:

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
OLD THREAD: >>2750747
Explain me this:
You learn to draw, which is very tedious, frustrating and requires a lot of time. You have to pay a lot of money if you want any significant support and teaching. Then you still have to do a lot of job yourself if you want to improve to the point where it matters.
And after all of this there's still a huge risk that you won't get any work and you will starve.
So why do people draw again for money? I don't honestly believe you put your life on stake just because you like to draw. Passion is fun and cool but it's just too much man. It's seems like a shady kind of a business.
>You learn to draw, which is very tedious, frustrating
Well that's just like, your opinion
With that said, no one should go into it expecting to sustain themselves from art alone
The reason people do it anyway is because they are young and naive
>>2756015
Learning to draw is not hard. Learning to make good pieces is.
everything good takes effort. Or else I would be sitting on my life for eternity
>>2756015
Anon, dedicating yourself to learning anything to a degree to where you can make money off of it is taking a risk, some being more or less risky than others. If it's something that you don't wanna pursue then just don't do it.
I have no pen pressure in MangaStudio/Photoshop. However, if I open the Wacom panel to configure the tablet, pressure is detected correctly.
I have checked some workaround to get pen pressure in Mangastudio, but it did not change anything.
What's happening there? How are you supposed to debug this sort of shit on Windows 7? (it's an Intuos 3, but I doubt it changes anything)
i used to eat sardines for dinner
>>2755422
Go to your services from the task manager. Restart the "Wacom Consumer Service" thing with all your drawing programs closed. It should work, and if it doesn't, unplug and replug your tablet after restarting the service. Just mess with the services.
>>2755425
you think? it's not a one time thing, this behaviour is consistent across reboots.
If I do a reverse image search on google, is there any way I can edit the image code in a way that google doesn't recognize it and doesn't show and suggested images?
pic related
>>2754967
I don't think so, because it's not like searching through code, it uses some algorithm to analyze the actual pixels, which is how it can find similar images and make all those suggestions to you
>>2754972
>applications
can you distort the image so that it fucks with their algorithm?
>>2754982
Well sure if you put an image that doesn't exist online then it won't be able to find that exact image. It will still find images that are visually similar at least in the thumbnail though.
What software lets you create a watercolor style painting
i tried downloading some watercolor brushes for photoshop but that didnt work, then again maybe i just didnt get a good set of brushes.
>>2754905
Honestly no digital program can emulate watercolours very well. You're better off trying to use actual watercolours or painting digitally in a way that is not trying to mimic it entirely.
>>2754905
It's like $20 for brushes and watercolours, dude.
>>2754924
but then he wouldn't be able to rely on ctrl+z
At big animation studios, are visual development artists 'ranked' higher than background painters/designers and other artists brought on when a show is in production?
What's the hierarchy, if there is one?
>>2753621
i have no idea
>>2753621
I don't imagine there is much of a hierarchy beyond the art director being at the top. My experience in studios is limited and not at a big animation studio, but it seemed that I was equal as a 2d artist to the animators and other artists involved.
>>2753621
bg artists get no attention despite being the most important imo.
I saw this earlier today and it's been bothering me for a bit so I was hoping other Anons could share their insight. I don't know if this is just envy at the fact that this guy's work was seen by thousands of people in a day, but something about it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Am I just being envious or is my concern justified? Is this guy being applauded for repetitive practice or does he truly deserve the praise for improving?
If this question belongs on another thread, please redirect me to that one.
>>2755034
Just sounds like jealousy. Don't worry so much about what this kid's doing or how much he's getting applauded, just keep improving yourself.
>>2755034
You know what you have to do
>>2755034
Jealously is natural, anon. You have to consciously fight against it.
Much easier when you fighting against it from a position of strength and skill. But we've all been jealous.
You must let go. It will only hold you back. Keep your disagreements academic and your ambition positive.
Anybody thinking about buying the Wacom Companion that is on sale this black friday?
I remember seeing a quote saying "you get what you pay on Black Friday" and makes me worried if Wacom would sell a wonky product during this time. I'm just being paranoid, aren't I?
Anyone else see this deal though?

You never said where
Why does all of FZD's student's work look like they were drawn by the same person? They're nice in a technical sense but there's no depth in terms of personality.
>>2752860
Because it is a 1-2 year program that focuses on developing the student's technical skills. Personality is something artists develop with experience naturally, it's not something that can or should be taught at a school.
>>2752872
this, FZD only makes you grind fundamentals to take you to the starting line, once they have that they can start actually developping their art and take it in the direction they want to
>>2752873
>>2752872
definitely is a factor, however I think the point is that it's a design school more than an art school. In one of his videos he mentions that himself and many other concept artists and designers have an extremely similar look to their sketches because they're really just there to communicate a design or idea, they don't need individual flair in the sketch or artwork itself, the individual is more likely to come across in the design.
How do I start out getting good at art. And not do this shit.
>>2752166
consult the sticky, faggot

Stupid faggots need to stop making new threads about their kindergarden scribbles. If you need to ask these questions, I can guarantee you haven't looked hard enough for yourself.
What's the trick for making lolis look like lolis and not children? I just don't get what I'm missing.
Absolutely depraved. End yourself.
