What are the best and most extensive resources/websites/books you have for building visual library of clothing folds.

And I'm talking about things beyond just the 7 basic folds

Perhaps something like the resources for nude poses we have, but with clothes.

Any help will be appreciated

Sup /ic/

I'd like to have a serious discussion about adult/porn art and how it affects the artist and his relationship with society and other individuals.

tl;dr discussion points
>how has drawing porn affected you or artist you know of
>how society views erotic art(ists)
>steps to protect your identity
>general erotic art discussion

I'm very interested in erotic art, and eroticism is one of the top 3 themes I am looking to explore in my art.

However, I am hesitant to pursue my interest without being better informed of how it will affect me and how I can best go into the whole enterprise.

I'm not someone who fantasises on neeting on patreon porn for the rest of his life, and I'm not looking to turn a quick buck off of porn before fucking off to draw concept art professionally or whatever.

I would ideally like to operate under completely unconnected aliases, one of which would be concerned with nothing but pornography.

This is where the problem arises.
How do I remain nothing but an art handle on the internet and not be connected to my actual identity?

I don't want my name and/or photo to show up with a simple google search or have to pull a JJFrenchie and run at some point.

>commissions
Most obvious risk, I've pretty much written them off because it just looks like asking to get doxxed sooner or later.
Even Patreon had that huge account info leak, and it's supposedly the most anonymous way to monetize your porn.

>website
How can you ensure your real name does not come up with a bit of research on your domain?

>professional work as an erotic artist
Can it be done without your identity being revealed to the general public through other people, publishers, contracts, etc.?

>inb4 nobody cares what you do
I just really don't want to deal with someone raising dust about my degeneracy, but still don't want to be a tumblr hobo.

nah, in this day and age, you can't do anything without it being a political agenda, just do the porn art you want just observe the fundamentals and not do bullshit like this
>>
>>2757043
Drawing ero is a risk no matter how you do it if you're concerned about your reputation among normalfags.
Why would porn be such a profitable business if this weren't the case...

-Paetron is still the best way.
-Make a blogspot or tumblr linked to a dummy gmail. A custom website is overkill
-If you're involved with the community/release consistently on Hentai-Foundry or any of the other adult forums then you'll probably get connections with other users.
-If you're concerned about how others see you/judge you, making porn's not for you.
>>
making porn art mainstream will cheapen its commission value you fucking moron. Make it illegal, all of it. Then we sit up there like kings that are also slaves. FUCK

I found out my uncle is planning on getting me an Ipad pro, I was planning on saving up and buying a drawing tablet like a nice intous. Never done digital art. It'd be a waste to have both. Will this make it more difficult to get into digital drawing? What programs do you need? I need the apple pen ,right?

tl;dr Am getting an Ipad pro, advice on getting into digital art with it.

Do you have any advice for the Ipad pro? What program, like is PS viable or is there soemthing better?
>>

PS is Available, so is Autodesk Sketchbook (My Favorite, it's free) and get an Apple Pen, it's pretty good. (I used to work at an apple store, it was as cool as they made it out to be)

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.

AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.

RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:

#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)

#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller

#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new (and cleaner) sticky in town! You can see it at:

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

What do you think of this oil painting I'm working on?

I understand that the overall brown color is a little unappealing, but I'm having trouble keeping the colors from mixing on the canvas and I don't know a lot about choosing harmonious colors.
If you have any advice regarding oil painting or color theory, I'd love to hear it!

Thanks

Almost everything is severely fucked here. You need to draw from life / pictures for about a year, studying the anatomy and proportions. It's clear you're a beginner and know next to nothing.

Do not be dismayed; it can all be learned with a few hundred hours behind you.

I just realized that this could have come off as rude; I admit I can be a little crude around the corners. The reason you brought it here is to have certain things pointed out, but the truth is that you know very little - but that's to be expected of any one who has never actually studied. And knowing how to study instead of copying is important.

As you study, do not just copy. Notice how the limbs move. Study center lines and where they go to. Break your anatomy down into 3 dimensional objects nad make sure you have center lines for EVERY side of that form. For the thigh, you have the front/top, the in-side, the out-side, and the back/bottom. All of these have a center line. And those center lines will tell you where the knee cap is. They'll also tell you where the calf meets. That center line can shift at the foot because of the ankle, but the top of the foot has the same center line.

Study your proportions; people have different proportions. Do not just assume the 7 / 8 head rules. People have different lengths of the body, they have different lengths of the torso. They have different sized gaps between the ribs and the pelvis. Some people have narrow shoulders, which start practically at the sides of the head - others have broad shoulders.

Learn how the arm pit is just the lats and the pectorals and an arm is literally held on only be muscle and a few small bones. Study how the shoulders rotate and what they do - and WHY they rotate how they do. Study the forearm (you'll likely need an actual anatomy book for this one). Learn how to break complex shapes into simple forms - for instance, the torso can be a box, an egg, or even a cylinder. These are the "studies," not simply replication of the image or person.

I am currently working on a photo-realistic graphite and charcoal portrait. This is my first time drawing photo-realism and have never considered rendering skin texture beyond wrinkle and form.

Any advice on rendering pores and tiny wrinkles? Pic related. Still measuring and drawing outlines. Will post a picture of the line drawing if anyone wants to see.

Thanks Senpai/ic/

You have to draw the skin and the pores
With the charcoal
>>
>>2755561
My thinking was that lines in the skin, the left half of the face, the jacket, and some hairs would be drawn with the charcoal.

It seems like using charcoal on his face would make it too dark.

My range is white charcoal, 4H, 3H, 2H, HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B, 8B, black charcoal

Does anyone here draw from observation using pen? I've been told my pen technique is strong, but I haven't had much success trying to use it to draw from life. I can with pencil though, usually in a gestural/expressive style. my pen technique is pretty much the opposite, very slow and careful.

Why not post examples of your work instead of making us guess what it looks like, like assholes.

Yes I'm worked with pen. You can do construction with a ballpoint easily, and once I'm at the fixative stage it's not like I break out the eraser that late in the game anyway.

Seems like a visualization problem, brother, you're rushing into detail without keeping the general whole in your mind.

But then again you basically said that.

Anyway your art reminds me of that flash series with the gay apocalyptic mutants.

Good compositions, thoughtful color and contrast schemes, technical skill, symmetrical faces, no uncanny valley.

The rest is pretty much all subjective.
